Prom

Hi Bloggers.

Today's post is a very simple 8 x 8 scrapbook page. So simple - took me just 10 minutes to do! But I like the simplicity of this layout - it really shows off the dies and the photo isn't lost in a complicated layout. You could easily swap the photo for a topper or a stamped image if you wanted to make a card.

The backing paper is from Polka Doodles Sundae of Seasons. I inked around the edges with Faded Jeans Distress Ink using Cut n Dry Foam. I cut the photo out using the smallest of the Spellbinders Grand Decorative Ovals dies. I cut the next largest Grand Decorative Ovals dies out of Coconut White Card and inked through the die with Faded Jeans.

I stamped the title using Cobalt Archival and cut it out using a Ribbon Banners Large die. I inked through the die using Faded Jeans. I assembled the card as shown and added a Creative Expressions Pearl Swirl.

Told you it was simple!

Thanks for stopping by.

Julia.

  3. Hi Julia, I saw this when you had it on the show, and thought it was fabulous. Like the idea of using the dies to cut the photos out. Kathryn looks so grown up. Bx

  4. Morning Julia, Beautiful scrapbook page, it is simple but elegant. The grand ovals are beautiful dies and lend themselves to any application, I used them recently on an A4 card, they are stunning. I love the simplicity of the make-up and that makes the photo 'pop'. Beautiful Julia. Lots of love from Patricia xx

  15. It just goes to show that you don't need to do loads of twiddly bits and flowers etc with these gorgeous dies. The fancy oval edge does all the embellishing for you.

    A really lovely page Julia.

  16. Simple and elegant. Really encouraging for those who are thinking about scrapbooking as sometimes all the complicated c.d.'s promoting it are quite offputting
