Hi Bloggers.
Here's today's card -
I started with the Scribble PVA Panels (one of Sue's techniques). I drizzled some Vanilla, Vintage Golden Green and Choco Brown Cosmic Shimmer PVAs over a piece of Milk Card. I put aside to dry. Once dry, I cut it into 3 panels and matted onto Chestnut Card.
For the background, I ran a piece of Milk Card through the Grand Calibur with the Couture Creations Asian Weave Embossing Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the design and inked around the edges with Latte Adirondack Dye Ink.
I stamped the owl from the Justrite Owl be There Clear Stamp Set using Coffee Archival. I cut it out using the smallest die in Sue's Umbria Die Set (from the Italian Collection). I inked through the die with Lattee Ink. I cut a Spellbinders Majestic Circle Die out of Chestnut Card.
I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set using Coffee Archival. I cut it out using Justrite Vintage Labels 7 and inked through the die with Latte Ink. I cut another Vintage Labels 7 the same size out of Chestnut Card. I cut it down the middle lengthways and glued it to the back of the sentiment panel, offsetting it so you can see a border.
I assembled the card as shown adding a 5mm Cream Pearl to each corner and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Choco Brown PVA around the edges.
Thanks for stopping by.
Julia.

I am playing catch up and have just looked at Sat and Sunday's cards. They are both beautiful, I have got to say that Saturdays in particular really took my eye as it is in my favourite colour.
ReplyDeleteJulia, would it be ok to give Kitty an answer to her question? If you would rather I didn't then just delete it. I'm not sure if you are allowed to be seen to promote products.
I too can't cut rectangles and squares so I use Perfect Layers. They are like rulers but have a little lip bit that work really well for me. There is a video to show you how they work to help you ( I use a scrap rectangle stuck on with removable tape to make the first one. I hope this will make sense when you see how they work! )
I love everything about this card & it makes me want to re-create it now! Which is a great shame as i'm working all week-not sure "card making" would be an ok reason for being late!
