Friendship

Hi Bloggers.

I have a MDF Tag for you today -

I started by painting a MDF Scalloped Tag with CS White Gesso. I popped some CS Multi-Tex onto my Craft Sheet. I added some water and some CS Dries Clear Glue and mixed it really well. I popped the Dutch Doobadoo Wavy Stripes Mask on top of my tag and spread the Multi-Tex mixture through it. I dried it using a Heat Tool.

I added a piece of Cream Crochet Ribbon and some Lilac Ric Rac Ribbon . I had a die cut hanging around cut from Sue Wilson's Elegant Laced Edger so I added that too.

I had already prepared a flower made from Air Dry Clay using a Multi-Flowers Mould which was left to dry for 24 hours. I added this and a Paper Flower with a Button in the centre.

I painted over the whole thing with CS White Gesso. I painted the 'Friendship' MDF (given to me by a friend) with White Gesso and added it to my tag.

I spritzed a little CS Phill Martin Frosty Heather Ink Spray Mist over. Once dry, I added some CS Phill Martin Frosty Heather Gilding Wax to the button, the 'Friendship' MDF and around the edges of the tag.

I finished by adding some CS Glue then some White Micro Beads and some CS Sparkle Star Diamond Frost. I added a piece of Mauve American Seam Binding.

My next workshop in Milton Keynes is a Mixed Media and MDF class on Sunday 14th August. You can find more details and book via my website here.

Here's a couple of sneaky peeks to tempt you -

Don't Forget

Hi Bloggers.

Here's today's card -

For this card I used a centre left over from a Coconut White frame (as you know, I make quite a few of those!) so it is pierced around the edges.

I started by misting it with Clover, Buttercup and Vintage Sage Ink Spray Mists, removing the excess between each spray with kitchen roll.

I misted some Clover Mister onto a piece of Cut n Dry Foam to make an 'ink pad'. I used this to stamp a section of the Justrite Text Background Stamp several times, re-inking between each one.

I repeated the process with Vintage Sage Mister and the Justrite Chicken Wire Background Stamp.

I made another 'ink  pad' with the Buttercup Mister. I used this to pounce through the Wavy Mask in several places.

I stamped the main image from the Justrite Multi-Step Don't Forget Bouquet Stamp Set using Jet Black Archival. I added a couple of the solid hearts and a the little birdie from the same set. I used some more of the solid stamps from the set to colour in the image using Baked Peach CS Colour Cloud applied with a Smoothie.

I stamped one of the swirly style stamps a few times using Jet Black Archival.

I stamped the sentiment from the same set, again using Jet Black Archival (I actually used 2 separate stamps).

I popped a little CS White Gesso onto my Craft Sheet. I used 2 of the solid circle stamps from the set and stamped using the Gesso.

Using my Vintage Sage 'ink pad', I inked around the edges.

I made a card blank out of Black Card and added my piece to it. An actual card!

I have a flash sale going on over on my website this weekend - there's 30% off all Leonie Pujol masks, stamps and dies and 20% off all Spellbinders dies (including pre-loved), embossing folders and stamps. Offer runs till midnight tomorrow (31st July) or while stocks last. Discount will be applied at checkout. You can find Leonie's products here and Spellbinders products here.

Hello

Hi Bloggers.

Here's today's card -

For the background, I embossed a piece of Coconut White Card with the Couture Creations Paradise Embossing Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the design.

I spread some CS Polar White Sparkle Texture Paste through the Ink the Net Mask onto Coconut White Card and put aside to dry. Once dry, I cut 4 squares out using Sue Wilson's Double Pieced Squares. I also cut 4 squares out of Icicle Pearl Card using Sue's Double Pierced Squares Set B.

I cut the largest die and the 'Hello' from the Justrite Hello Decorative Oval Frame Dies out of Coconut White Card. I pressed them into Clear Perfect Medium and embossed with Snowcap CS Brilliant Sparkle Embossing Powder.

I cut a die from the Justrite Vintage Labels Eleven Dies out of Icicle Pearl Card and another die from the Hello Die Set out of Coconut White Card. I stacked all the die cuts using Mounting Cushion and added some CS Polar White Twinkles around the edges of the Vintage Labels Eleven Die Cut.

I assembled the card as shown adding a couple of Mini Pearl Swirls, some 8mm White Pearls and some more Polar White Twinkles around the edges of the embossed background. I also pierced around the edges using my Tim Holtz Ruler, Precision Probe and Piercing Mat.

John Lockwood is continuing with his One Day Special on Hochanda today with shows at 9am, 12noon, 4pm and 7pm. I'm offering 10% discount on items I have in stock from the shows. You can find them here. Offer applies till midnight tonight and the discount will be applied at checkout.

Sweet Dreams Butterfly

Hi Bloggers.

Here's today's card -

Not the easiest to photograph this one!

For the background, I dusted a piece of Antique Gold Pearl Card with my Anti Static Bag. I inked up the All Stirred Up Mask with Clear Perfect Medium. I placed it inked side up onto the platform of the Spellbinders Platinum Machine then popped my card, dusted side down on top and then added the tan mat and embossing plate and ran it through the machine. The ink transferred to the deboss pattern of the mask. I added CS Black Mirage Brilliant Sparkle Embossing Powder and heat set (I used a low speed heat tool as I think the glitter in the powder stays put better).

I made my usual frame out of Black Gloss Card using Sue Wilson's Double Pierced Squares and Double Pierced Squares Set B. I added it to my background once it was dry using 3d Foam Tape. I added an 8mm Black Pearl to each corner

I stamped the sentiment design from the Justrite Butterflies Stamp Set onto Antique Gold Pearl Card using Clear Perfect Medium and embossed with Black Mirage Powder. I cut it out using Sue Wilson's Melbourne Die Set.

I cut the remaining dies in the set out of Black Gloss Card and Antique Gold Pear Card (the only die in the set I didin't use is the smallest one).

John Lockwood is launching a One Day Special on Hochanda this evening at 8pm with some brand new Creative Expressions dies called Paper Cuts. I believe he has some new masks on the show but I haven't even seen those, they're so new! I'm offering 10% discount on items I have in stock from the shows. You can find them here. Offer applies till midnight tomorrow night and the discount will be applied at checkout.

Relax & Enjoy

Hi Bloggers.

Here's today's card -

For the background, I spread some CS Clear Texture Paste through the Wavy Mask onto Coconut White Card. Leaving the mask in place, I sprinkled some Aqua Lagoon, Purple Violet and Golden Mint CS Pixie Powders. I removed the mask and cleaned it straight away and put the background aside to dry.

I made my usual frame out of Coconut White Card using Sue Wilson's Double Pierced Squares and Double Pierced Squares Set B. I added it to my background once it was dry using 3d Foam Tape.

I stamped the sea horse from the Justrite At the Beach Stamp Set onto Coconut White Card 5 times using Clear Perfect Medium and embossed using CS Black Detail Embossing Powder. I tapped a little of the 3 Pixie Powders I had used in my background into separate wells in a palette. I added a little water to each one and painted the sea horses. Once they were dry, I cut them all out using Justrite At the Beach Dies.

I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set, again using Clear Perfect Medium and embossed with CS Black Detail Embossing Powder. I stamped a frame from the Justrite Congrats Card Basics Stamp Set around it. I cut it out using a die from the Justrite A2 Card Basics Dies and cut the next sized die as a mat. I spritzed a little water into my Craft Sheet, added a little Golden Mint Pixie Powder and mixed it. I picked it up onto a piece of Cut n Dry Foam and used it to edge my sentiment panel. I did the same with Purple Violet Pixie Powder and the sentiment mat.

I cut some corners out of Black Card using Justrite A2 Card Basics Dies and added them to my frame as shown.

Phill Martin is continuing with his One Day Special on Hochanda today with shows at 9am, 12noon, 4pm and 7pm. I'm offering 10% discount on items I have in stock from the shows. You can find them here. Offer applies till midnight tonight and the discount will be applied at checkout.

My website has been very busy over the last few days. Please be patient with me as I try to get all the orders out as quickly as I can. Hopefully, I will have caught up by tomorrow.

Simple Two-fer

Hi Bloggers.

I have a couple of simple cards for you today from the Justrite Weekend Wow shows -

I stamped the main image from the Justrite Multi-Step Don't Forget Bouquet Clear Stamp Set onto Coconut White Card using Clear Perfect Medium and embossed with Phill Martin's CS Old Gold Embossing Powder. I used a dry wet wipe to remove the excess mica from the powder. I cut it out using Sue Wilson's Double Pierced Rectangles and cut a mat out of Antique Gold Pearl Card using Sue's Double Pierced Rectangles Set B.

I stamped the Justrite Text Background Stamp onto Coconut White Card, again using Clear Perfect Medium and embossed with Phill's Old Gold Embossing Powder. The text on this stamp can mostly be read but in places there are bits missing - this means that if your stamping is a bit off, it doesn't matter one bit! Win, win!

I cut it out using Sue's Double Pieced Rectangles Set B and cut a mat from Antique Gold Pearl Card using Sue's Double Pierced Rectangles.

I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set as before and cut it out using a die from the Justrite A2 Card Basics Dies. I cut the next sized die out of Antique Gold Card for my mat.

I completed the card by adding a Cream 8mm Pearl to each corner.

Here's your second card -

Mega easy. I started by cutting an aperture out of a piece of scrap card using the largest small rectangle die (hope that makes sense!) in the Justrite A2 Card Basics Die Set. I then placed this onto a piece of Coconut White Card and spritzed through the aperture with Clover CS Ink Spray Mist. Once dry, I cut out using the smallest large rectangle die (here we go again! Hope that makes sense too!) in the same set.

I stamped the flower from the Justrite Doodled Birds Stamp Set into the misted area using Jet Black Archival. I stamped the sentiment from the Justrite Multi-Step Don't Forget Bouquet Stamp Set just below it as shown.

I cut some mats using the 2 largest dies from the set and cut a card blank using the largest die in the set (yes, an actual card here).

Phill Martin is launching a One Day Special on Hochanda this evening at 8pm with part 2 of his Christmas Snowflakes Collection. I'm offering 10% discount on items I have in stock from the shows. You can find them here. Offer applies till midnight tomorrow night and the discount will be applied at checkout.

Keep a shell in your pocket

Hi Bloggers.

Hope you enjoyed the Weekend Wow shows. Here's today's card -

For the background, I started by spritzing through the All Stirred Up Mask with CS Aqua Breeze Ink Spray Mist onto Coconut White Card. Once dry, I over stamped with the Justrite Text Background using CS Turquoise Pool Colour Cloud applied using a Smoothie. Then in the column gaps in the background, I stamped the sea weed stamp from the Justrite At The Beach Stamp Set using Basil Leaf CS Colour Cloud, again applying the ink to the stamp using a Smoothie.

I then experimented doing a little Frantage styled texture onto my background. In the bottom left hand corner, I added a little Clear Perfect Medium and then added some of Phill Martin's Old Gold Embossing Powder and tapped off the excess. I then sprinkled over a little CS Black Mirage Brilliant Sparkle Embossing Powder, a little CS Luna Silver Mica Flakes and a little CS Antique Gold Mica Flakes. I heated from below and as the embossing powders set, the mica flakes were encased adding texture. While still molten, I added more embossing powder and more flakes until I was happy with the result.

I tried this a slightly different way on the top right corner. I did not add any Perfect Medium. I just sprinkled some of the same 2 Embossing Powders and some of the same Mica Flakes over the area and then heated them from below. I added more powder and flakes till I was happy with it.

I made my usual frame out of Coconut White Card using Sue Wilson's Double Pierced Squares and Double Pierced Squares Set B. I added it to my background.

I stamped the shells, sea horse and star fish from the same stame stamp set using Clear Perfect Medium and embossed with CS Black Detail Embossing Powder. I cut them out using the Justrite At the Beach Dies.

I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set, again using Clear Perfect Medium and embossed with Black Detail Embossing Powder. I cut it out using Justrite Vintage Eleven Dies and inked through the die with Turquoise Pool Colour Cloud using a Smoothie. I cut the next sized die out of Black Card as a mat.

I assembled the card as shown adding some little Aqua Dazzlers to the corners of my frame.

I have extended the 10% discount on items I have in stock on my website from the shows till midnight tonight. You can find them here. Discount will be applied at checkout.

John Lockwood has shows on Hochanda today at 11am, 3pm and 6pm. I'm offering 10% discount on items I have in stock from his shows. You can find them here. Once again, discount will be applied at checkout.
