Enjoy Your Day with Style

Hi Bloggers.

Would have loved to have demoed this card but a bit too much going on in it and I don't seem to get an awful lot of time to demo at the moment.

For the background, I spritzed some Milk Card with Marigold and Tarnished Gold Vintage Mister. I dried the ink of the first colour with my heat tool before misting the second one and then dried again. I inked through the Eyelet Lace Mask with Poppy Paris Trunk Dye Ink using Cut n Dry Foam. I moved the mask  around the background as the area was larger than the mask. I then randomly inked through some flowers on the Flower Mask with the Sepia Paris Trunk Ink.

I stamped the large corset from the Creative Expressions Frilly Things Stamp Set onto some Foundations Dot & Dash Paper using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I added a frill along the bottom using London Tan American Seam Binding. I used the same ribbon to tie a little bow and glued a 5mm Black Pearl in the centre of it.

I cut the largest Spellbinders Labels 25 out of Milk Card. At the emboss stage I added the Polka Dots Mask. I inked through the die with Sepia Ink. I cut the largest of the Spellbinders Romantic Rectangles out of Tan Card. At the emboss stage I added the Floral Vines Mask. I inked through the die with Sepia Ink.

I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Clear Powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Splendid Circles and inked through the die with Sepia Ink.

I assembled the card as shown adding some Black Swirls and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Choco Brown around the edges.

Thanks for stopping by.

Julia.

  2. Morning,
Really like this on, right up my street.
Do C&C not realise that peepes tune in for Deoms not their constant droning on. Maybe we should get a petition to boycote them speaking.

  5. Morning Julia, WOW, this is my favourite card of all, I love the colour combo, love the corset with frill, love the background, love the pearlies. I love everything about this card.
On the demo debate, I know C&C are all about 'selling', but surely if there were more demo's of 'different ways' to use the product, then surely more would be sold. More demo's would be fantastic ha ha.
Lots of love from Patricia xx

  6. Lovely card Julia. I love all the stamps but this is maybe my favourite.

Had a virus on my computer so although i could look at your offerings for the past week, i couldn't comment on them. Very frustrating. Happily back to normal now.

  7. Hi Julia,
Lovely card, the corset is coloured beautifully, love the frill.
On the demo debate, I think C&C presenters are getting worse, too much waffling on nothing, not enough demo time, and the price of their products are getting dearer. I can get Spellbinders now at my craftshop in town for £15.95, on Web for £14.50. So I am not buying off C&C, however much they talk.
I think Creative Expressions should open to the public, not just trade, hee hee.
    Enough of my ranting.

  11. Morning Julia, another great card and great colours on the debate about
C&C I would love more demo time too but if they don't sell you would be out a job so we wouldn't see on at all there will be a lot
of folk who don't have internet or a craft store handy I am lucky
    to have both. nancyd xx

  12. Morning Julia,
Glad I'm not the only one fed up with the presenters droning on. Have you noticed they don't do it to some of the guests Barbara Grey for instance. I also think that a lot of the shows should be2 hours, by the time they get through previewing the goods the show is almost over. Like Michelle said you can get the dies much cheaper. I've had some real bargains from the internet and so many web stores do free p&p. Think I've said enough on that subject I'll get off my soapbox now.

Today's card is stunning love the colours you have used. This would be a great card to sen to a girl friend.
    Have a good day.

  13. Hi Julia

Love the colours you have chosen and the corset is to die for ,
Im with all the other comments , the presenters go over the top with their twittering and some times about nothing related to the show , why don"t they realise these dies and stamps sell themselves .

    Have a good day

  14. Morning Julia, Its difficult because if C+C didn't sell then they wouldn't have a channel which does show us lovely products and ways to use them, also they have so many rules that they have to bid by. However i do think they could give you more time to demo at least one card without interuption.

Beautiful card today, I love the colours and great layout.

  15. A lovely card Julia and I'm with all the other ladies who are fed up with some of the presenters on C&C. If there's a Spellbinders or Creative Expressions show on I watch but apart from that hardly at all these days

  16. Hello Julia, Beautiful card today, love the colours and the ribbon added to the corset is a gorgeous, a lovely touch.
I agree with Cornish Emma about the rules C&C have to work by, and one demo without interuption would be marvellous.

  18. Morning Julia

Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous.... its such a shame that the demo time on tv is so limited...I really think with the stamps and dies they really sell themselves and dont need the presenter pushing them lol

  19. Hi julia I love this card, the layout Is great and the colours are lovely and warm.as for the debate on c+c it gets on my nerves when they drone on about their own lives that's not selling the product is it!! Even when you had a 2 hour show you still only got to do 2 demos which I thought was terrible!! I only buy the big sets of dies from them now and use flexipay everything else I buy elsewhere ok rant over lol love lesley xx

  22. I too get frustrated with C&C and the use of the programme time - but I guess that is the nature of the beast. The big consolation is that we can look at all the ones you didn't get to demo on your blog and with your brilliant description of how you put them together we can enjoy them that way. Keep 'em coming Julia! X
