One Day Special on Hochanda this evening

Hi Bloggers.

I'm launchng a One Day Special on Hochanda this evening at 8pm with a selection of Sue Wilson's dies. Lots of other goodies on the shows - hope you can join me.

Here's today's card -

For the background, I embossed a piece of Coconut White Card using the Creative Expressions Eternal Ivy Embossing Folder.

I misted a piece of Watercolour Card with water and added CS Pixie Powders in Straw Yellow, Burnt Orange and Emerald and put aside to dry.

I cut dies #3 and #4 together from Sue Wilson's Swirly Vine Background out of Black Card. Once my PP background was dry, I cut die #4 from it and added it to the black decorative die cut.

For the central leaf, I added CS to a piece of Heat Emboss Acetate. I added the same 3 Pixie Powders. I misted with a little water. I sprinkled over some CS Aurora Sparkle Diamond Frost over. I scrunched up a piece of White Tissue Paper, opened it and added it to the background. I tapped it down using a piece of Kitchen Roll and put aside to dry. Once completely dry, I cut the largest solid leaf from Sue's Autumn Leaf Trio Die Set. I cut the corresponding open leaf die from the same set out of Coconut White Card.

I assembled the card (yes, another proper card) as shown adding a 5mm Black Pearl to each corner.

I'm offering 10% discount on items I have in stock on my website from the shows. You can find them here. Offer applies till midnight tomorrow night or while stocks last. Discount will be applied at checkout.

I'm off out early today up to CE HQ to attend a workshop that Lisa Horton is running. Please be patient with dispatch of website orders as I may not get them out till the weekend.

Thanks for stopping by.

Two-fer Sneak Peek

Hi Bloggers.

I'm back on Hochanda tomorrow night at 8pm launching a new One Day Special. I'm launching some of Sue Wilson's new Dies and Stamps to Die For - a Leafy collection! Very excited! I also have all 6 of the latest colours of Pixie Powders and some brand new Justrite Stamps (and some old ones at a special price) as well as some lovely Cosmic Goodies - it's a packed show!

Here's the first card in today's two-fer (a proper card!) -

I started with my Pixie Powder Background. I used a full sheet of A4 Watercolour Card as the second card in this two-fer is made from the same piece. I misted the card with water and added CS Pixie Powders in Aubergine Dream and Emerald and put aside to dry.

I cut the largest die in Sue Wilson's Swirly Vine Background Die Set together with #7 die from Sue's Double Pierced Squares out of Coconut White Card. I used the #7 Double Pierced Square Die and cut from my PP background once dry. I trimmed away a little from each side - I like to do that so that if I slip when adding the decorative die cut, you don't see a coloured edge. I glued the decorative die cut to it and put aside to let the glue dry.

I cut die #3 only from the centre of a piece of Coconut White Card (piece was smaller than the size of the #7 Double Pierced Square). I glued it to a piece from my PP background and put aside to dry.

I stamped the sentiment from Phill Martin's Butterfly Elegance Sentiment Stamp Set onto Coconut White Card using Jet Black Archival. I cut it out using #2 die from the same set.

I used #4 die from the set to cut the centre out from my largest die cut/background piece and added it to the central piece using 3D Foam. I added my sentiment using Creative Expressions Mounting Cushion. I added the design to a Coconut White Card Blank.

Here's the second card -

For this one, I embossed a piece of Coconut White Card using the Creative Expressions Climbing Vines Embossing Folder. I added it to a mat of Black Card and added this to a Coconut White Card Blank.

I cut the #2 from Sue's Swirly Vine Background out of my PP Background 4 times. I cut dies #1 and #2 together out of Coconut White Card 4 times. I glued the pieces together. I added them to my card as shown.

I stamped the sentiment from Phill's Butterfly Elegance Sentiments Stamp Set using Jet Black Archival. I cut it out using die #2 from the set. I edged it using a Black Graphmaster Marker.

I finished my card by adding a 5mm Black Pearl to each corner.

As promised, I have some pics from the Finnabair Workshop that I attended yesterday. I absolutely loved it - do attend one of Anna's workshops if you get a chance. Pictures don't really show if off well enough as usual.

A few close ups -

With Love and Best Wishes

Hi Bloggers.

Had a great day yesterday. It was getting dark by the time I got home so I will try and take some pics today and post them tomorrow. Of course, having most of the day off meant I had to work late last night instead - oh well!

Here's today's card - another sneak peek from the One Day Special I'm launching on Hochanda on Wednesday evening.

For the background, I stamped the Justrite Autumn Swirls Background onto Black Card using Clear Perfect Medium and embossed with CS Gold Detail Embossing Powder. I trimmed it, edged it with CS Autumn Twinkles (just gorgeous!) and put aside to dry.

I stamped the sentiment from Phill Martin's Butterfly Elegance Sentiments Stamp Set using Clear Perfect Medium and embossed with Gold Detail Embossing Powder. I cut it out using die #2 from Sue Wilson's Swirly Vine Background Die Set, edged it with CS Autumn Twinkles and put aside to dry. I cut die #4 from the same set our of Black Card and dies #3 and #4 out of Antique Gold Pearl Card.

I made a flower out of Antique Gold Pearl Card using Sue's Cape Daisy Die Set and added a Small Black Circle Dazzler. I cut some leaves out of Black Card using Sue's Olive Branch Die Set. I cut a couple of leaves out of Antique Gold Pearl Card using Sue's Swirly Leaf Trio Die Set.

I assembled the card as shown adding a 5mm Black Pearl to the corners and piercing around the edges using my Tim Holtz Ruler, Precision Probe and Piercing Mat

Love & Kisses

Hi Bloggers.

I'm off early this morning to attend a mixed media workshop - really looking forward to it!

Here's today's card -

For the background, I spread some CS Clear Lacquer Varnish over a piece of Heat Emboss Acetate. I then sprinkled CS Silver Mica Powder over and used my fingers to spread it over the entire area. I scrunched up a piece of White Tissue Paper and added it to my background, pressing it down with a piece of Kitchen Roll. I put aside to dry.

Once my background was dry, I cut the Spellbinders Renaissance Border Two out of Coconut White Card 4 times and glued them to the front of the Acetate.

I made a frame using Sue Wilson's Stitched Lattice Frame Die Set. I added it to my background using 3D Foam, trimming away the excess using scissors.

I stamped the sentiment from the Justrite Spring Wishes Vintage Labels Eight Stamp Set onto Coconut White Card using Clear Perfect Medium and embossed with CS Silver Shine Detail Embossing Powder. I cut it out using a die from Spellbinders Acanthus Leaf Tags. I cut the corresponding larger die from the set out of Steel Pearl Card.

I cut a couple of leaves out of Steel Pearl Card using Spellbinders Romantic Vines and made a flower out of felt from the Wedding Felt Pack using Spellbinders Bitty Blossoms.

I finished my card with a few mats of Coconut White and Steel Pearl Card and some 8mm White Pearls in the corners of my frame.

Amazing Friend

Hi Bloggers.

Black Friday Deals continue on my website here. You'll find some of the items used on today's card in Black Friday Deals.

Here's today's card -

For the background, I embossed a piece of Coconut White Card using the Spellbinders Flowers and Leaves Embossing Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the design - it's not a repeating pattern but is a busy design so easy to hide the join. I wrapped a piece of Craft Consortium Floral Notes Lace Ribbon around the background towards the left-hand side.

I cut the largest die and the next sized die together in the Spellbinders Waterlillies Decorative Accents Die Set out of Coconut White Card. I put aside the die cut from the inner die for another project. I left the largest die in place and drew around the inside with Carved Pumpkin Distress Marker.

I popped a piece of Creative Expressions Double Sided Self Adhesive Sheet onto a piece of Coconut White Card. I cut the second largest die in the Spellbinders Jeweled Frame Die Set from it and then added CS Diamond Sprinkles.

I stamped the image from the Spellbinders Floral Bouquet onto Coconut White Card using Jet Black Archival. I coloured in using Distress Markers - Carved Pumpkin, Abandonned Coral, Fossilized Amber, Milled Lavender, Shabby Shutters and Crushed Olive. I cut it out using the die from the same set.

I stamped the words from the Spellbinders Journal Words Stamp Set using Jet Black Archival. I trimmed them down using scissors and edged them with Carved Pumpkin Distress Marker.

I tied a bow using 2 lengths of White Craft Consortium Satin Ribbon and added a Craft Consortium Pearl Heart Charm.

I assembled the card as shown adding an 5mm White Pearl to the corners and piercing around the edges using my Tim Holtz Ruler, Precision Probe and Piercing Mat

With Love

Hi Bloggers.

Here's today's card -

For the background, I dusted a piece of Coconut White Card with an Anti-Static Pad. I inked up the Justrite Autumn Swirls Background with Clear Perfect Medium and stamped onto my dusted card. I sprinkled some Burnt Orange, Straw Yellow and Emerald CS Pixie Powders over and spread them around using a Dusting Brush. I removed the excess using a dry wet wipe. I spritzed the background with water to 'wake' the Pixie Powders up. I trimmed the card and matted onto a piece of Black Card.

I stamped the sentiment from Phill Martin's Scribbled Frame Sentiments onto Coconut White using Jet Black Archival. I cut it out using #2 die from Sue Wilson's Maldives Die Set. I cut #4 die out of Coconut White Card and dies #3 and #4 together out f Black Card.

I misted some water onto my Craft Sheet. I sprinkled on some Pixie Powders in the 3 colours I used for my background. I then rubbed some Blue White American Seam Binding through it. I dried it with my Heat Tool. I wrapped a piece of ribbon around my background and used the rest to tie a bow.

I cut a couple of leaves out of Black Card using Sue's Swirly Leaf Trio and made a flower using Sue's Cape Daisy Die Set. I added a Small Black Circle Dazzler to the centre of the flower.

I assembled the card as shown adding an 5mm Black Pearl to the corners and piercing around the edges using my Tim Holtz Ruler, Precision Probe and Piercing Mat

Birthday Wishes

Hi Bloggers.

A bit of Fire & Ice today -

For the background, I cut the 3 decorative dies from Sue Wilson's Swirly Vine Background out of the same piece of Black Card, leaving a border around the outide edge. To make cutting easier, I cut 1 die at a time.

Next, I popped a piece of Creative Expressions Double Sided Self Adhesive Sheet onto the front of the die cut. I turned over to reveal the adhesive and added CS Autumn Leaves Gilding Flakes. I removed the excess using a piece of Rubit Scrubit.

I turned over and removed the other backing sheet. I added CS Iced Snow Glitter Jewels. I used a die from Sue's Double Pierced Squares to neaten the edges and matted onto Antique Copper Pearl Card.

I stamped the sentiment from Phill Martin's Scribbled Frame Sentiments Stamp Set onto Black Card using Clear Perfect Medium and embossed using CS Gold Detail Embossing Powder (seems to show up better than Ancient Copper). I cut out using Sue's Stitched Flags and cut the next sized die in the set out of Antique Copper Pearl Card.

I popped another piece of Double Sided Self Adhesive Sheet onto a piece of Black Card. I removed the other backing sheet and added CS Autumn Leaves Gilding Flakes. I removed the excess using a piece of Rubit Scrubit. I then cut all 4 sizes of flower from Sue's Cape Daisy Die Set. I glued them together, offsetting them and added an 8mm Black Pearl. I cut the 2 smaller leaves from Sue's Swirly Leaf Trio out of Black Card and out of Antique Copper Pearl Card.

I assembled the card as shown adding an 8mm Black Pearl to the corners and piercing around the edges using my Tim Holtz Ruler, Precision Probe and Piercing Mat

Lisa Horton is launching a One Day Special on Hochanda this evening at 8pm. I'm offering 10% discount on items I have in stock on my website from the shows. You can find them here. Offer applies till midnight tomorrow night or while stocks last. Discount will be applied at checkout.
