You did it

Hi Bloggers.

Back from a great weekend in Taunton. We met so many people! Back to prep again today.

Here's today's card - a simple little number from the August Toolshed.

For the background, I ran a piece of Khaki Card through the Grand Calibur with the Creative Expressions Checkerboard PinPoint Embossing Folder. I rubbed Black Soot Distress Ink over the surface using Cut n Dry Foam.

I stamped the typewriter from the Justrite Just Typed Clear Stamp Set onto Black Card using Perfect Medium and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer True White Detail Embossing Powder. I cut it out using scissors. I cut a Justrite Vintage Labels 8 Dies out of a patterned paper from the Creative Expressions Teresa Collins 8 x 8 Paper Pad.

I stamped the solid tag from the Justrite Typewriter Sentiments Clear Stamp Set using Jet Black Archival. I made sure the ink was dry then dusted it with my anti static bag. I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set using Perfect Medium and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer True White Detail Embossing Powder. I cut it out using Justrite Vintage Labels 9 Die.

I assembled the card as shown adding some Black Pearls and an Art Deco Metal Corner to one of the corners.  I added some dots of Black Pearl Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA around the edges.

Phill Martin has shows today at 8am and 3pm with some gorgeous new stamps that I think I need!

I'll be back tomorrow to share a sneak peek from Thursday's shows.

Thanks for stopping by.

Thanks Mom

Hi Bloggers.

Today I have a card from the Toolshed I did way back in August. Please don't comment on the fact that it says 'Mom'. Where I come from that's what we use and it is in the Cambridge Dictionary Online (I just cheked). Justrite are actually putting both 'Mom' and 'Mum' on alot of their stamp sets so hopefully everyone will be happy.

Anyway, here's the card -

For the background, I popped a piece of Milk Card through the Grand Calibur with the Creative Expressions Floral Brocade Embossing Folder. I rubbed Enchanted Gold Gilding Wax all over. Once dry, I buffed it up using a dry wet wipe.

I stamped the fan design from the Justrite Elegant Fan Elements Clear Stamp Set onto a patterned paper from the Creative Expressions Teresa Collins 8 x 8 Paper Pad using Perfect Medium. I added Cosmic Shimmer Gold Detail Embossing Folder (I did not heat set just yet). I stamped the little design in the centre from the same stamp set, added powder and heat set the lot. I repeated this another 4 times so I had 5 in all. I cut them out using Justrite Vintage Fan Die. I stacked them up in top of each other and added a brad. I fanned them out and secured with CS Dries Clear Glue.

I tied a bow using 2 lengths of Champagne Silky Crush Ribbon. I stamped the circular frame and the sentiment from the Justrite Floral Fan Elements using Perfect Medium and embossed with Gold Detail Powder. I cut it out using scissors (hadn't access to SVG file at the time!) and added it to the bow.

I pressed 4 Art Deco Metal Corners into Perfect Medium, added Gold Detail Powder, tapped off the excess and heat set. Once cool, I added some CS Dries Clear Glue to the backs and left for a couple of minutes to go tacky before adding to the background.

I assembled the card as shown adding dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Golden Pearl around the edges.

Thanks for stopping by.

Love

Hi Bloggers.

Here's today's card -

For the background, I simply ran a piece of Coconut White Card through the Grand Calibur with the Creative Expressions Checkerboard PinPoint Embossing Folder. I rubbed Pearl Moon Gilding Wax all over the embossed surface. Once dry, I buffed it up using a dry wet wipe.

I stamped the sentiment from the Uplifting Thoughts Stamp Set using Perfect Medium and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Silver Shine Detail Embossing Powder. I cut it out using the smallest die in the Spellbinders A2 Matting Basics B Die Set.

I stamped one of the frames from the Mini Elegant Frames Set using Perfect Medium and embossed with the Silver Shine Detail Powder. I cut it out using the 3rd size die in the Spellbinders A2 Matting Basics B Die Set.

I stamped the Wrought Iron Frame, again using Perfect Medium and embossed with Silver Shine Detail Powder. I cut it out using the largest die in the A2 Matting Basics B Die Set.

I cut 2 of Sue's Peace Dies and glued them behind the Wrought Iron Frame.

I cut both of Sue's Petite Vinery Dies and the the largest 2 dies in Sue's Delicate Daisies - Complete Petals. I shaped the petals using a shaping tool and a moulding mat. I added an 8mm White Pearl to the centre.

I assembled the card as shown adding some more pearls to the corners and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Cosmic Pearl around the edges.

Flowers are like friends

Hi Bloggers.

Here's today's card -

For the background, with the stamp in my hand, I randomly stamped Phill Martin's Leafy Background using Iced Spruce Distress Ink. I repeated the process with Phill Martin's Grungy HHoneycomb Background and Faded Jeans Distress Ink. I made sure the ink was dry and ran it through the Grand Calibur with the Creative Expressions Sea Garden Embossing Folder. I inked around the edges with Faded Jeans and then rubbed Pearl Moon Gilding Wax all over the embossed surface. I left it to dry for a few minutes and then buffed it up using a dry wet wipe.

I masked off the frame on the Flower Twist Frame Stamp and inked up using Perfect Medium. I removed the mask, stamped and embossed with the powder that I made for yesterday's card. I cut it out using Spellbinders A2 Matting Basics B and inked through the die with Faded Jeans.

I stamped the Curled Frame Stamp using Perfect Medium and embossed with my custom powder. I cut it out using the largest die in the Spellbinders A2 Matting Basics B die set and inked through the die with Faded Jeans.

I cut 2 of Sue's Peace dies out of Sky Blue Card and glued them to the back of the Curled Frame.

I mixed some Harebell Mica Powder from the Cosmic Shimmer Subtle Shades Mica Spray Set with some Cosmic Shimmer Warm White Matt Chalk Paint. I used it to colour a piece of White Crochet Ribbon using a piece of Cut n Dry Foam. Once dry, I cut the ribbon in half lengthways and made a flower (beats me why the flower looks so bright in the photo!). I cut some leaves using Sue's Petite Vinery Die Set and inked through the dies with Faded Jeans. I added a couple of Pearl Sprays.

I assembled the card as shown adding a Small Circle Dazzler to the corners and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pastel Blue PVA around the edges.

Season's Greetings

Hi Bloggers.

Sue and I are heading down to Taunton today ahead of our weekend of workshops and demos at Craftasmic. It's a ticketed event and is completely sold out so please don't head down there unless you have a ticket. I am, however, in the shop till 3pm on Saturday on hand to answer any questions you may have on any of our products.

Here's today's card -

For the background, I started by stamping a couple of the snowflakes from the Justrite Snowflakes Stamp Set using Faded Jeans and Tumbled Glass Distress Ink. I covered it with a piece of Creative Expressions Double Sided Self Adhesive Sheet and then added Glacier Ice Cosmic Shimmer Glitter Jewels.

I made some coloured embossing powder by mixing some Harebell Mica Powder from the Cosmic Shimmer Subtle Shades Mica Spray Set. I stamped the image panel from the Let it Snow Stamp using Perfect Medium and embossed with my custom made powder. I cut the image out around the outer tram lines. I cut a couple of Sue's Auvergne Dies and inked through the decorative die with Faded Jeans Distress Ink.

I stamped the sentiment from the Justrite Elegant Christmas Swirls using Perfect Medium and embossed with my powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Diamond Effects and inked through the die with Faded Jeans.

I cut a couple of Pine Boughs and twigs using Sue's Pine Bough die set. I cut some solid poinsettias out of Coconut White Card using Sue's Classic Poinsettia Die Set and some patterned poinsettias out of Sky Blue Card using Sue's Mosaic Poinsettia Die Set. I glued them together using Cosmic Shimmer Dries Clear Glue.

I assembled the card as shown adding some White Pearls and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pastel Blue PVA around the edges.

Thanks for stopping by.

Missing You

Hi Bloggers.

Here's today's card -

For the background, I ran a piece of Coconut White Card through the Grand Calibur with the Creative Expressions Fauna Embossing Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the design. I popped a little Pearl Cosmic Shimmer Shimmer Paint on to my Craft Sheet. I picked some up onto a piece of Cut n Dry Foam and rubbed it over the embossed surface.

I stamped the Desert Daisies Stamp onto Black Card using Perfect Medium and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer True White Detail Embossing Powder. I coloured in using Cosmic Shimmer Watercolour Paints. I used Scarlet Sunset, Orange Gold, Yellow Sun and Summer Grass from the Brights Set. I cut it out using Spellbinders Majestic Labels 8.

I cut a Spellbinders Devine Eleoquence Die out of Black Card.

I stamped the sentiment from the All Occasions Sentiments Stamp Set using Perfect Medium and embossed with True White Detail Powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Mystical Embrace.

I tied a bow using Black Crochet Ribbon and added a Black Crystal Sparkler.

I assembled the card as shown adding some Black Pearls to the corners and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Black Pearl around the edges.

The Christmas Workshops at Creative Expressions HQ in Kettering is full except for 1 space in the afternoon. I will be repeating the same workshops the following week on Wednesday 29th October. Please telephone Tracey on 01536 481778 if you would like to book a place.

Here's a reminder of the projects.

Morning Workshop 10am till 1pm £30.00. Heavily die based, no stamping!

Afternoon Workshop 2pm till 4pm £20.00. Mix of stamping and die cutting.

It seems I mis-calculated the charging period for my Amazon Store and I've just been charged the subscription for the next month. So, I won't been closing the store this Friday but some time during the week commencing 6th October. I'll keep you updated on that.

Thanks for stopping by.

Love

Hi Bloggers.

Here's todays card -

For the background, I ran a piece of Coconut White Card through the Grand Calibur with the Heart Lattice Embossing Folder.

I stamped the sentiment from the Uplifting Thoughts Stamp Set onto Periwinkle Card using Perfect Medium and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Shine Detail Embossing Powder. I stamped one of the Mini Elegant Frames onto Coconut White Card using Perfect Medium and embossed with Silver Shine Detail Powder. I stamped the Flower Twist Stamp onto Periwinkle Card, again using Perfect Medium and embossed with Silver Shine Detail Powder. I cut them all out using Spellbinders A2 Matting Basics B but I embossed first before cutting as the die cuts usually pop out of the die as they're cut and oftem move when you emboss them.

I cut 2 Couture Creations Lotus Filet out of Coconut White Card. I trimmed them so that together they fit behind the Flower Twist Frame. I fixed them together and added them to the background. I wrapped a piece of White Crochet Ribbon around to hide the join.

I made a couple of flowers out of White Crochet Ribbon and cut a couple of leaves out of Periwinkle Card using Sue's Faux Quilled Leaves Die.

I assembled the card as shown adding some White Pearls to the corners and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Cosmic Pearl around the edges.

Thanks for stopping by.

You are in my Thoughts

Hi Bloggers.

I popped some card sample packs onto ebay last night. This time it's Macmillan Cancer Support that I'm raising funds for as it's their coffee morning time this month. You can see them here amongst other items I have for sale.

Here's today's card -

For the background, I ran a piece of Milk Card through the Grand Calibur with the Couture Creations Velvet Tea Lights Embossing Folder. I ran it though a second time to extend the design and inked around the very edges with Black Soot Distress Ink.

I stamped the Cala Lily Trio using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I cut it out using a Spellbinders Fancy Postage Edge Die.

I popped the middle sized Cordoba Die inside the largest Granada Die and cut out using Black Card.

I stamped the sentiment that comes with the Cala Lily Trio using jet Black Archival and embossed with Clear Powder. I cut it out using the smallest die in the Cordoba Die Set.

I tied a bow using Black/Ivory Striped Grosgrain and added a Crystal Sparkler.

I added a piece of a Black Self Adhesive Swirl.

I assembled the card as shown adding some Black Pearls to the corners and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Black Pearl around the edges.

Thanks for stopping by.
