Love

Hi Bloggers.

Here's today's card -

A simple card where the dies do all the work.

I cut the largest die in the Spellbinders Flourishing Fleur Die Set out of Coconut White Card. I cut the largest die from the Spellbinders 6 x 6 Matting Basics A Die Set and added the Flourishing Fleur die cut to it.

I stamped the image from the Creative Expressions Wedding Cake Singles Set using Clear Perfect Medium and embossed with CS Silver Pearl Lustre Embossing Powder. I cut it out using 6 x 6 Matting Basics B and cut a mat using 6 x 6 Matting Basics A.

I stamped the sentiment that comes with the Wedding Cake, again using Clear Perfect Medium and embossed with Silver Pearl Lustre Embossing Powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Decorative Swallowtail Tags. I gave it some shape and added it to my card as shown, securing it with a few 3d Foam Pads in the centre and CS Glue at the ends.
I assembled the card as shown adding some Craft Consortium Self Adhesive Rhinestones and piercing around the edges using my Tim Holtz Ruler, Precision Probe and Piercing Mat.

Still waiting for Leonie's stamp range to arrive. Hopefully, they'll be here soon after the Bank Holiday. I should have a couple of the Spellbinders Favourably Simple Gift Boxes delivered on Wednesday providing my delivery man can get through some road closures that are going on locally for a few days. I'll keep you posted. Hopefully, more stock will be available for me to order in a week or so. If you need some Hook & Loop Discs to close your gift bags, I've put together some packs of 10 of each. You can find them here.

Thanks for stopping by.

Spellbinders Wedding Collection One Day Special Continues Today

Hi Bloggers.

I have more shows on Hochanda today at 9am, 12noon, 4pm and 7pm. Hope you can join me. I have added photos of the samples to the Gallery section of this blog (access via the top menu) and to my Julia Watts Crafts Facebook Page.

My card went on the Spellbinders Blog last night - you can see it here. It would be lovely if you could leave a comment. The card features the Spellbinders Swirl Stripe Panel that is included in todays shows together with some dies from the last One Day Special.

Here's today's card -

For the background, I embossed a piece of Coconut White Card using the Creative Expressions Provencal lace Embossing Folder.

I cut the largest die in the Spellbinders Ornamental Crest Die Set out of Custard Card. I stamped the sentiment from the Justrite Grand Wedding Wishes Stamp Set onto Coconut White Card using Clear Perfect Medium and embossed with CS Bright Gold Detail Embossing Powder. I cut it out using the middle die in the same die set. This die cuts out the sentiment and gives you a gorgeous frame with deboss detail. I rubbed Enchanted Gold Gilding Wax over the debossed frame. Once dry, I buffed it up using a dry wet wipe.

I cut the little motif die from the Ornamental Crest Die Set out of Custard Card twice. I added CS Flake & Glitter Glue Highlighter to the die cuts and then added CS Frosty Dawn Sparkle Diamond Frost. I added these to my sentiment panel as shown.

I threaded some Craft Consortium Ivory Satin Ribbon through the large die cut and wrapped it around the back of my background. I tied a bow using 2 lengths of Ivory Ribbon and added a Craft Consortium Circle Pearl Diamante.

I assembled the card as shown adding some Craft Consortium Pearl Hearts and piercing around the edges using my Tim Holtz Ruler, Precision Probe and Piercing Mat.

I did threaten to make some more gift boxes made using the Spellbinders Favorably Simple Gift Box Die Set and I have! I hope you watched Becca's video that I added to yesterday's blog - really good to see.

I know this one is hard to see - I've stamped the front and back panels with some of the stamps from the Heartfelt Creations Feather Grass Flourish Stamp Set stamped onto Coconut White Card using Clear Perfect Medium and embossed with CS Copper Bronze Lustre Embossing Powder.
This one is made using Phill Martin's Frosty Christmas Holly Paper Pad. Wouldn't it be cool to give pressies in these or hang some on your tree?
This final one is inspired by the video by Becca that I shared yesterday. Made with Custard Card, I've embossed through the die on the front and back with the Spellbinders Fancy Flourish Grand Impressabilities. I've wrapped the Spellbinders Swirling Grace around it (as in Becca's video) cut from Dark Grey Card. I've cut the flowers using Spellbinders Crossing Crecent Die Set and added a Craft Consortium Ivory Resin Flower.

I've added some of the Hook & Loop Discs, which you can use to fasten the flap on the boxes, to my website here. I've split them down into 10 pairs so you don't end up buying more than you want! Just £1 per pack.

Just a reminder, I've set up a category on my website with products I have in stock from the One Day Special. You can find them here. There's 10% discount on them till midnight tonight.

Stock of Leonie's masks did arrive yesterday - yay! You'll find them here. I think Leonie's co-ordinating stamps should be here on Friday. I'm planning on using the masks and stamps in the Stamping Masterclass that I'm running on Saturday June 11th - you can book a place here.

See you at 9am!

Thanks for stopping by.

Spellbinders One Day Special on Hochanda this evening

Hi Bloggers.

I'm launching a One Day Special on Hochanda this evening at 8pm with part 2 of Becca Feeken's Wedding Collection from Spellbinders. For those of you on Freeview who stay up late or have the ability to record, the launch show will be shown at midnight tonight. Otherwise, you can view online at hochanda.com. Sky viewers can watch anytime, unless you're like me where my sky box just glitches constantly on the shopping channels!

On to today's card -

I made a similar one to this for the last One Day Special using the Spellbinders Quatrafoil Panel. This one is smaller as the Spellbinders Swirl Stripe Panel is a smaller die. This die can be easily extended to form a large background as you will see in some of the other samples.

So, I cut the inner die only form the Swirl Stripe Panel die set out of Coconut White Card, positioning it towards the left hand side.

I stamped the sentiment from the Heartfelt Creations Feather Grass Flourish Stamp Set using Clear Perfect Medium and embossed with CS Copper Bronze Lustre Embossing Powder. I wiped away the excess using a dry wet wipe. This stamp is very forgiving as it doesn't matter if you don't stamp it perfectly straight. I wasn't able to get any of these stamps for my website as there weren't many left - don't say I didn't warn you! lol! I added a little CS Flake & Glitter Glue Highlighter to the grass on the sentiment and added CS Frosty Dawn Diamond Frost.

I matted onto Peach Card. I wrapped a piece of Craft Consortium Peach Ribbon around and added a Craft Consortium Heart Buckle Charm.

I assembled the card as shown adding some Craft Consortium Pearls and piercing around the edges using my Tim Holtz Ruler, Precision Probe and Piercing Mat.

I thought I'd also share a few bags I've made using the Spellbinders Favourably Simple Gift Box Die Set. These are easy to make. I'll try and do one in the launch show so that if you're on Freeview you can catch it in the repeat at midnight.

With Peach Card, CE Wedding Cake Singles, Clear Perfect Medium, CS Copper Bronze Lustre Embossing Powder, Craft Consortium Peach Satin Ribbon and Pearl & Diamante Heart Charm

With Craft Consortium Wild Rose 12 x 12 Paper

With CS Silver Mica Spray Mist, Spellbinders Grand Impressabilities Flower Delight, Spellbinders Bow Helpers & Closures, Craft Consortium Adhesive Pearl Heart Chain, Dark Grey Card
I may have more to show, they're quite addictive! I've just spotted a video tutorial on the Spellbinders Blog by Becca Feeken where she makes a gorgeous gift bag using this die set - puts mine to shame!

My next post on the Spellbinders Blog should go live today, around 1pm I think.

I've set up a category on my website with products I have on my website from the shows. You can find them here. There's 10% discount on them till midnight tomorrow night.

Leonie Pujol has a bunch of Creative Expressions products on her show 2pm till 4pm today. I've set up a category with products on her show on my website here. There 10% discount on those products till midnight tonight.

Stock of Leonie's masks should arrive today. You'll find them here when I've loaded the stock on. Her stamps are due in either later this week or early next week. Will keep you posted.

Hope to see you later!

Thanks for stopping by.

Sneak Peek

Hi Bloggers.

It's that time again - time for a sneak peek from the Spellbinders One Day Special on Hochanda which starts at 8pm tomorrow evening. It's the 2nd Part of the Wedding Collection designed by Becca Feeken.

It's always a hard decision - which sample to share first, but I made this one yesterday and I really like it so this is the one I'm sharing -

I started by creating a card blank (yes, this is an actual card!) by folding a piece of Custard Card in half, hanging part of the cutting edge of the largest die in the Spellbinders Swirling Grace Die Set on the outside of the fold. I ran it through the Spellbinders Platinum Machine.

I then ran the same die through the machine again with another piece of Custard Card. I used the 3 largest dies together and cut from Dark Grey Card. I glued this die cut to my single-sided Custard die cut and then popped them onto my card blank (I actually glued it to the back of my card blank to hide the marks from my cutting plate).

I stamped the sentiment from the Creative Expressions Wedding Cake Singles Set onto Custard Card using Watering Can Archival, quickly added CS Silver Lustre Embossing Powder and heat set. I cut it out using Spellbinders Ornamental Crest Die Set. I cut the little motif die from the Ornamental Crest Die Set out of Dark Grey Card twice. I covered them using Flake & Glitter Glue Highlighter and then added CS Sparkle Star Diamond Frost.

I tied abow using 2 lengths of Craft Consortium Silver Satin Ribbon and added Craft Consortium Vintage Rhinestone Charm (love these!).

I added a Craft Consortium Metal Silver Heart Charm : Amore. I didn't realise till I opened the packet that these have little flowers engraved on the reverse side so you can use then either way. I have actually glued this one down using CS Glue but you could add using twine. Oooh - you could make earrings out of them! I'll have to see if I have some findings!
I hope you agree that this is a lovely 'proper' card!

Thanks for stopping by.

ThankYou

Hi Bloggers.

Here's today's card -

I started by cutting the largest die in the Spellbinders Intertwined Spirals Die Set out of Coconut White Card. I then cut the same die plus the large fancy die together out of Milk Card and glued the 2 die cuts together.

I cut the small insert die from the same set out of Milk Card. I cut the 2 accents dies from the set out of Milk Card 3 times, making a total of 6 little die cuts. I used these to 'hold hands' with the insert die cut as shown adding a little CS Glue to keep secure. I cut the 'Thank You' from the Spellbinders Inviting Words Die Set and added it to the centre.

I assembled the card as shown piercing around the edges using my Tim Holtz Ruler, Precision Probe and Piercing Mat.

Easy peasy! The dies do all the work.

The winner of the card from Freebie Friday on April 22nd is ....................

RSVP

Hi Bloggers.

Here's today's card -

I cut the inner die only from the Spellbinders Quatrafoil Panel Die Set out of Coconut White Card. I cut it in half (I only needed half the length for this dinky little card).

I added a piece of Double Sided Self Adhesive Sheet to the front of the die cut. I added Pale Gold CS Mica Powder to the exposed adhesive on the back of the die cut. I added it to a piece of Coconut White Card cut using Spellbinders 6 x 6 Matting Basics B (this traps the mica powder so none escapes).

I removed the other backing sheet from the front of the die cut and then added CS Diamond Sprinkles. I made a frame using Spellbinders 6 x 6 Matting Basics B and added it to my card using 3d Foam (and a little CS Glue).

I cut the 'RSVP' from the Spellbinders Inviting Words Die Set. I pressed it into Clear Perfect Medium and then dusted Pale Gold Mica Powder over it. I added some tiny pieces of 3d Foam and added it to my card.

I assembled the card as shown adding some 5mm White Pearls to the corners.

Thanks for stopping by.

Congratulations

Hi Bloggers.

I had a great few days away - lovely weather, lovely house, lovely food, great company and lots of beading! I didn't quite finish my piece so I'm not going to share just yet. Hopefully, I'll finish it the next time I go to my beading club and I'll share it then.

I did half of my post yesterday afternoon after I got back, the other half will be sent out today.

Today's card is clean and simple -

I started by stamping the sentiment from the Justrite Wedding Inner Sentiments Stamp Set onto Coconut White Card using Clear Perfect Medium and embossed with CS Silver Shine Detail Embossing Powder, positioning it towards the bottom right hand side. I cut it out using Spellbinders 6 x 6 Matting Basics A. I cut a mat out of Wisteria Card using Spellbinders 6 x 6 Matting Basics B.

I cut a Spellbinders Decorative Swallowtail Tags Die out of Coconut White Card  and a larger die from the set out of Wisteria Card. I added a Craft Consortium Heart Cluster Rhinestone Charm.

I assembled the card as shown adding a Craft Consortium Adhesive Rhinestone to each corner and piercing around the edges using my Tim Holtz Ruler, Precision Probe and Piercing Mat.

Thanks for stopping by.

On Your Wedding Day

Hi Bloggers.

A complete contrast to yesterday's card but still using the Spellbinders Regal Allure Die Set -

For the background, I embossed a piece of Coconut White Card using the Creative Expressions Swirling Hearts Embossing Folder.

I added a piece of Double Sided Self Adhesive Sheet to a piece of Aqua card. I peeled off the other backing sheet and added CS Diamond Sprinkles. I cut the largest die from the Spellbinders Regal Allure Die Set.

I stamped the 'on your' and 'Wedding Day' from the Justrite Grand Wedding Wishes Stamp Set onto Coconut White Card using Clear Perfect Medium and embossed with CS Silver Shine Detail Embossing Powder. I cut it out using the inner die from the Regal Allure Set. I cut the embellishment die from the set out of my glittered card twice and added them to my sentiment panel as shown.

I tied a bow using 3 lengths of Craft Consortium Duck Egg Satin Ribbon. I cut the flower die from the Spellbinders Lacework Button Flowers Die Set out of my glitter card and cut the matching button die from the same set outof Coconut White Card. I added a Craft Consortium Duck Egg Resin Flower.

I assembled the card as shown adding a Craft Consortium Adhesive Pearl & Rhinestone Cluster to each corner and piercing around the edges using my Tim Holtz Ruler, Precision Probe and Piercing Mat.

Just to let you know, I have ordered some of Leonie Pujol's Masks & Stamp Sets - hopefully, they will arrive very soon. I'll let you know as soon as I've loaded then onto my website.

I've loaded the stock of the Justrite Stitched A2 Banners & Rectangles Die Set - you can find them here.

Thanks for stopping by.
