Happy Mother's Day

Hi Bloggers.

Happy Mother's Day to all the Mums out there (or Moms if you prefer as I do!). Kathryn came up last night and we're off out to lunch today - diet will be put on hold today!

I thought I'd share this card today as it's appropriate. It's also a sneak peek of some brand new Justrite stamps that will be coming very soon.

The flowers and leaves are from the Justrite Wild Roses Clear Stamp Set. This is a Multi-Step Stamp Set which means that you stamp a solid stamp in one colour and then over stamp with a detail stamp in a different colour. I've stamped the solid flowers with Wild Honey Distress Ink and over stamped with Ripe Persimmon Distress Ink. I've stamped the solid leaves using Old Paper Distress Ink and I've over stamped with Crushed Olive Distress Ink. I applied the inks to the stamps using Smoothies which gives a smoother finish.

The sentiment is from Justrite Spring Wishes Vintage Labels 8 & 9, stamped onto Coconut White Card using Jet Black Archival. I've cut it out using Justrite Vintage Labels 9 Dies and added some Black Satin Ribbon.

I assembled the card as shown piercing around the edges using my Tim Holtz Ruler, Precision Probe and Piercing Mat.

    I know what you mean about putting the diet on hold. Mine has this weekend, my Daughter and I went for lunch on Friday for my birthday and we are having a pyjama day, with a boxed set and takeaway today. Though I have been reliably informed that Birthday and Mother's day food is magic and doesn't count as calories, lol. Enjoy your lunch, it doesn't count.
