Hi Bloggers.
Had a great weekend in Preston - tired now though as I got home quite late! A day of chores and catching up with post today.
Here's today's card -
A simple card - great for batch making, can be made in any colour as it's all made from Coconut White Card.
I started my stamping Phill Martin's Christmas Holly Decorative Frame : Snow using Clear Perfect Medium and embossed with PM Cosmic Shimmer Frosty Aqua Embossing Powder. I removed the excess mica powder using a dry wet wipe. I cut it out using a Spellbinders 6 x 6 Matting Basics A Die. I ran a little PM Cosmic Shimmer Frosty Aqua Colour Cloud Blending Ink around the edges using a Smoothie.
I stamped the sentiment from Phill's Christmas Holly Sentiments Stamp Set using Perfect Medium and embossed with Frosty Aqua Embossing Powder. I cut it out die a die from the Spellbinders Floral Assortment Die Set and inked through the die with Frosty Aqua Colour Cloud.
I coloured a piece of Blue White American Seam Binding with Frosty Aqua Colour Cloud and tied a bow. I added an Aqua Dazzler.
I assembled the card as shown adding some White 5mm Pearls and piercing around the edges using my Tim Holtz Ruler, Precision Probe and Piercing Mat.
Thanks for stopping by.

ReplyDeleteGlad you had a good weekend.
ReplyDeleteU the colour apart from the turquoise bow hasn't come out very well today, so it's a bit difficult to make out what you have done. However from your description, the techniques look great.

ReplyDeleteI'd Say Have A Rest But If You've Chores To Catch Up On I Can Understand Try To Get Them Out Of The Way This Morning And Rest This Afternoon.
Onto Today's Very Beautiful Card I Love The Very Beautiful Colour Palette You've Chosen, I Love The Stamping, And The Dies That You've Used And Your Truly Tremendous Bow!!!! I'm Really Rubbish At Tying Bows I've Tried All Different Ways And I Also Love It Where Yourself And Sue Use Bakers Twine Within Your Bow
Have A Great Day Try And Rest
Hugs From Sam x
Love this card. I would try the same if I could ever learn to stamp properly. The colours may not be Chritmassy in the strictest sense but does that matter? I think not as the end result is lovely.
ReplyDeleteI'm not very good at stamping but I am inspired to try something in Serif in that any text I write is usually black I must try "stuff" in other colours You've used a non Christmassy die too and it so works It's especially good for those recipients that do not celebrate Christmas that we like to remember too
ReplyDeleteHi Julia,
ReplyDeleteLove this card, gorgeous background. I doubt you will have a rest today with chores and post to catch up with. Glad you had a great weekend!
