Hi Bloggers.
Here's another card that I made for John's shows on Thursday -
I used a paper from John's 12 Days of Christmas Paper Pad. I trimmed it down a little and edged it with Stonewashed Adirondack Dye Ink using a Smoothie. I picked a couple of the stamps from John's Partridge in a Pear Tree Stamp Set and randomly stamped them over the paper using Cobalt Archival.
I stamped the main design from the same stamp set onto Coconut White Card. I cut it out using Spellbinders 6 x 6 Matting Basics A and inked through the die with a little Stonewashed ink.
I cut the largest die out of Sue Wilson's Times Square Die Set.
I cut a couple of Sue's Classic Poinsettia Dies out of the same patterned paper and inked around the edges of the petals with Stonewashed ink. I shaped the petals using a Woodware Shape-it Tool on a Moulding Mat, stacked them up securing with Cosmic Shimmer Dries Clear Glue and added a Brad. I cut a pair of Sue's Holly Sprays out of Dark Navy Card.
I assembled the card as shown adding a White 8mm Pearl to each corner and piercing around the edges using my Tim Holtz Ruler, Precision Probe and Piercing Mat.
Thanks for stopping by.

ReplyDeleteWonderful card. I love the colours. Using patterned papers for the poinsettia is a great idea and one I shall be using. I don't use patterned paper enough and have loads sitting around so will die cut with patterns more. Johns stamp designs have really impressed me too.
