Hi Bloggers.
Here's today's card -
For the background, I simply ran a piece of Coconut White Card through the Grand Calibur with the Couture Creations Chiaro Embossing Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the design (it is a repeating pattern). I then rubbed Pearl Moon Gilding Wax all over. Once dry, I inked around the edges of the background with Faded Jeans Distress Ink using Cut n Dry Foam.
I placed the Justrite Autumn Damask Background onto my craft mat, swiped the Faded Jeans Ink Pad over the stamp and placed a piece of Coconut White Card on top. Holding it in place with one hand, I rubbed over the surface with the other hand. I carefully removed the card from the stamp and repeated the process with another piece of card. I trimmed the pieces so I had 3 panels each 2" wide. I matted them onto some Cobalt Card.
I stamped the blossom image from the Justrite Circle Of Love Vintage Labels Three Stamp Set using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I coloured it in using Cosmic Shimmer Matt Drawing Inks. I used Blue Lace and Blue Cotton from the Soft Velvet Set and Soft Moss from the Garden Twist Set. I cut it out with scissors and went around the edges with a Black Promarker to hide any white bits. I stamped the frame from the same stamp set using Perfect Medium and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Arctic Lake Lustre Embossing Powder. I cut it out using Justrite Vintage Labels Three Dies and inked through the die with Faded Jeans. I cut a Spellbinders Stately Circle out of Coconut White Card and inked through the die with Faded Jeans.
I stamped the sentiment from the Creative Expressions Warmest Wishes Stamp Set using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Clear Powder. I cut it out using Justrite Vintage Labels Four Dies and inked through the die with Faded Jeans.
I assembled the card as shown adding some 8mm White Pearls in the corners, a Pearl Swirl and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in White around the edges.
Thanks for stopping by.

Make a Splash
Hi Bloggers.
Thanks for all your comments and emails yesterday. Glad you enjoyed the shows.
Here's a demo card from yesterday (sorry about the picture quality) -
For the background, I used Coconut White Card. I stated by randomly inking through the Grid Mask using Antique Linen Distress Ink. Then, with the stamp in my hand, using the same ink pad, I randomly stamped the Justrite Garden Gate Background. Finally, I stamped the starfish from the Justrite At the Beach Oval Medallion Labels Stamp Set, again using Antique Linen. I made sure the ink was dry and then ran it through the Grand Calibur with the Couture Creations Chiaro Embossing Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the design (this is a repeating pattern) and then inked around the edges with Antique Linen.
I stamped the main image from the At the Beach Set using Perfect Medium and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Olympic Gold Lustre Embossing Powder. I cut it out using Justrite Nested Oval Medallion Labels Dies and inked through the die with Antique Linen.
I stamped the sentiment from the Creative Expressions Warmest Wishes Stamp Set using Perfect Medium and embossed with Olympic Gold Lustre. I cut it out using Spellbinders Standard Circles Large and inked through the die with Antique Linen.
I stamped a couple of the shells from the At the Beach set and the Starfish using Perfect Medium and embossed with Olympic Gold Lustre. I cut them out using scissors and added them to the card using 3d Foam.
I assembled the card as shown adding some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Golden Pearl around the edges.
Thanks for stopping by.

If friends were flowers
Hi Bloggers.
As promised, here's a card I've made for tomorrow's shows -
For the background, I inked up the Justrite Garden Gate Background stamp with Old Paper Distress ink and stamped it onto Coconut White Card. I made a smaller panel by stamping the Justrite Autumn Damask Background Stamp using Antique Linen Distress Ink. I joined the 2 pieces together and hid the join with a piece of Blue White American Seam Binding.
I stamped the flowers from the Justrite Circle Of Love Vintage Labels Three Stamp Set using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I coloured it in using Distress Markers. I used Antique Linen, Old Paper, Scattered Straw and Wild Honey. I stamped the frame from the same stamp set using Perfect Medium and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Olympic Gold Lustre Embossing Powder. I cut it out using Justrite Vintage Labels Three Dies for the outer edge and Spellbinders Standard Circles Large for the aperture. I inked through the die on the outer edge only with Antique Linen. I cut out a Spellbinders Stately Circle (on my show on 18th August) and inked through the die with Old Paper.
I stamped the sentiment from the Creative Expressions Warmest Wishes Stamp Set using Jet Black Archival and embossed using Clear Powder. I cut it out using Justrite Vintage Labels Four Dies and inked through the die with Antique Linen.
I tied a bow using 2 lengths of the American Seam Binding and added a button from my stash with a little bakers twine threaded through it.
I assembled the card as shown adding some White Pearls in the top corners and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in White around the edges.
I've finally got around to adding a business page on Facebook. You can find it here. My own page is just for family and friends but if you like my business page then you can be kept up to date with what I'm up to as well as finding out here on the blog. You can also follow me on twitter here. I'm not particularly active on Facebook or Twitter - no time! So don't expect too much!
Thanks for stopping by.

You are so Special
Hi Bloggers.
Before I share today's card, I've just found out that the Couture Creations Tied Together Embossing Folder is now back in stock at the warehouse. I've ordered some and they should be here early next week. I'll post as soon as they arrive.
Here's today's card -
One of my messy backgrounds on this one. I used Coconut White Card. I randomly stamped the Beaded Flourish using Faded Jeans Distress Ink. Then, with the stamp in my hand, I randomly stamped the Justrite Fleur de Lis Background Stamp using Tumbled Glass Distress Ink. I repeated the process with the Justrite Floral Flourishes Background and Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink.
I stamped the Antique Dressform using Perfect Medium and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Persian Sea Aurora Embossing Powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Radiant Rectangles and inked through the die with Faded Jeans.
I cut a Spellbinders Timeless Rectangle out of Cobalt Card. At the emboss stage I added the Couture Creations Wild Poinsettia Embossing Folder. I stamped the sentiment that comes with the dressform using Perfect Medium and embossed with Persian Sea Aurora. I cut it out using Spellbinders Matting Basics A and inked through the die with Faded Jeans. I tied a ribbon using White Satin Edged Organza and added a Frosted Blue Dazzler.
I assembled the card as shown adding some White Pearls and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Cobalt around the edges.
I'll be back tomorrow with a sneak peak from Saturday's shows.
Thanks for stopping by.

There's only one like You
Hi Bloggers.
Here's today's card -
For the background, I used Milk Card. I ran it through the Grand Calibur with the Squared Mask. I left the mask in place and inked through it with Fired Brick Distress Ink using Cut n Dry Foam.
I stamped the sentiment from the Heartfelt Creations Classic Message Set using Perfect Medium and added Cosmic Shimmer Bright Gold Detail Embossing Powder. I stamped the Rose Trellis around the sentiment, again using Perfect Medium added Cosmic Shimmer Bright Gold Detail Embossing Powder and heat set the lot. I coloured in using Cosmic Shimmer Matt Drawing Inks. I used Scarlet Flame from the Autumn Shades Set and Soft Moss from the Garden Twist Set. I cut it out using scissors.
I inked up the Justrite Floral Flourishes Background Stamp with Fired Brick Distress Ink. I popped a narrow panel of card on top of the stamp and rubbed gently. I removed it from the stamp and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I wrapped some Cream Crochet Ribbon around my background and added the panel I had just created.
I tied a bow using the Cream Crochet Ribbon and added a Red Dazzler and a couple of Crystal Decorative Stick Pins.

To the World
Hi Bloggers.
Here's today's card -
This card uses Spellbinders Labels 4, Labels 4 Small and 5 x 7 Elegant Labels 4. Just stacking them up is so lovely, isn't it? The sentiment is from the Heartfelt Creations Timeless Sentiments and has been stamped using Perfect Medium, embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Lapis Pink Aurora Embossing Powder. I've used Victorian Velvet Distress Ink to inks through the dies.
The flower is made the same way as the one in yesterday's post but I stamped the flowers with the Justrite Floral Flourishes Background stamp before folding them. The ribbon is White Satin Edged Organza.
Sorry so short today - knee deep in prep!
Thanks for stopping by.
Julia.

So Glad You're my Friend
Hi Bloggers.
Here's today's card -
For the background, I simply ran some Coconut White Card through the Grand Calibur with the Couture Creations Wild Poinsettia Embossing Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the design - this is a repeating pattern so very easy to line up. I edged with Forest Moss Distress Ink using Cut n Dry Foam.
I stamped the Antique Dressform using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Lapis Pink Aurora Embossing Powder. Yes, you read it right - Lapis Pink Aurora is green when used on black card or when used with black ink - cool, eh? I cut it out using Spellbinders Floral Ovals and inked through the die with Forest Moss.
I stamped the sentiment from the Heartfelt Creations Classic Message Precut Set using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Lapis Pink Aurora. I cut it out using Spellbinders Romantic Rectangles and inked through the die with Forest Moss.
I made a flower following Sue's Tutorial - I stamped the flowers with the Beaded Flourish stamp with Forest Moss Distress Ink prior to cutting. The leaves are cut using Hearfelt Creations Ornamental Add On dies.
I assembled the card as shown adding some White Pearls to 3 of the corners and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in White around the edges.
Thanks for stopping by.
Julia.

Pink Mini
Hi Bloggers.
Here's today's card -
This is one of those cards when I challenge you to think of what would normally be a stamp for a man's card but done in girly colours can be for a lady too.
I love the background on this one. I used Milk Card. I spritzed all over with Antique Rose Cosmic Shimmer Vintage Mister. I dried it with my heat tool and then inked through the Fleur de Lys Tiles Mask with Victorian Velvet Distress Ink. I moved the mask along the card to extend the design. I then stamped the new Beaded Flourish Stamp all over.
I stamped the Mini using Perfect Medium and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Lapis Pink Aurora Embossing Powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Resplendent Rectangles and inked through the die with Victorian Velvet.
I stamped the sentiment that comes with the Beaded Flourish using Perfect Medium and embossed with Lapis Pink Aurora. I cut it out using Spellbinders Opulent Ovals and inked through the die with Victorian Velvet.
I assembled the card as shown adding some Cream Pearls in the corners and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Vintage Pink around the edges.
Thanks for stopping by.

Life is better
Hi Bloggers.
Here's today's card -
The background on this one uses the Justrite Floral Flourishes Background which is really pretty. I dusted a piece of Coconut White Card with my anti static bag. I stamped the Floral Flourishes Background using Perfect Medium. I stamped it a second time to extend the design. I overlapped it slightly but you can't tell. I then added Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder and heat set. I then rubbed Fired Brick Distress Ink all over using Cut n Dry Foam. I'm really not sure why this turned out so light when I demoed it - the joys of live tv!
I stamped the Delightful Lily using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I coloured it in using Cosmic Shimmer Matt Drawing Inks. I used Marigold from the Autumn Shades Set and Soft Moss from the Garden Twist Set. I cut it out using Spellbinders Labels 29 and inked through the die with Fired Brick. I stamped the Lily again and cut just the flower head out using scissors. I went around the edges with a black marker pen to hide any white bits. I coloured it in using the Marigold Matt Drawing ink, shaped it with a bone folder and popped it on top of the original image using 3D Foam.
I stamped the sentiment from the Heartfelt Creations Timeless Sentiments Stamp Set using Jet Black Archival and embossed with clear powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Resplendent Rectangles and inked through the die with Fired Brick.
I tied a bow using White Satin Edged Organza and added a Red Dazzler.
I assembled the card as shown adding some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in White around the edges.
Thanks for stopping by.

There are Big Ships
Hi Bloggers.
Here's a card from yesterday's shows -
I love the detail on the Tea Clipper stamp (one of Sam's designs). The Persian Sea Aurora Embossing Powder keeps all the detail and looks absolutely stunning (I think) with this stamp. Salty Ocean Distress Ink is a perfect partner for the Persian Sea Aurora Embossing Powder too.
On to the card - for the right-hand side of the background, I misted with Cosmic Shimmer Egyptian Blue Vintage Mister. I dried it with my heat tool (I'm impatient!) and then inked through the Knitted Mask (don't you think it looks a bit like rope or even waves?) with Salty Ocean Distress Ink. I moved the mask down the card to extend the design. I ran a piece of Kraftcore Cardstock through the Grand Calibur with the Couture Creations Heavy Duty Embossing Folder and sanded it to reveal the core.
I stamped the Tea Clipper using Perfect Medium and embossed with Persian Sea Aurora. I cut it out using Spellbinders Card Creator Fancy Postage Edge and inked through the die with Salty Ocean. I threaded some Bakers Twine from the Vintage Set through the holes.
I stamped the sentiment that comes with the Tea Clipper, again using Perfect Medium and embossed with Persian Sea Aurora. I cut it out using another die from the Fancy Postage Edge die set and inked through the die with Salty Ocean.
I assembled the card as shown adding a couple of Idea-ology Mini Gears and a Custom Fastener to the Kraftcore panel and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Cobalt around the edges.
Thanks for stopping by.
