Hi Bloggers.
Here's today's card -
The background is simply a piece of Coconut White card run through the Grand Calibur with the Couture Creations Petal Pleasures Embossing Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the design and inked around the edges with Scattered Straw Distress Ink. I wrapped some White Sati n Edged Organza around the centre.
I stamped the Delightful Lily using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I coloured in using Cosmic Shimmer Matt Drawing Inks. I used Sunflower (from the Summer Fayre Set), Marigold (from the Autumn Shades Set) and Soft Moss (from the Garden Twist Set). I cut it out using Spellbinders Labels 4 Small and inked through the die with Scattered Straw. I cut a mat out of Custard Card using Spellbinders Labels 4.
I stamped the sentiment from the Heartfelt Creations Timeless Sentiments Set using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Clear Powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Resplendent Rectangles and inked through the die with Scattered Straw.
I cut one of the lattice ornaments and a couple of the leaf flourishes out of Custard Card using the Heartfelt Creations Ornamental Add On Dies - I snipped the berries off the leaf flourishes. The flower is made from stamps and dies I have on the Toolshed on 18th August - shh don't tell anyone!
I assembled the card as shown adding some 5mm White Pearls and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in White around the edges.
Thanks for stopping by.
Julia

ReplyDeleteHi Julia
ReplyDeleteThis is such a pretty card. I love the muted custard and white background matted and layered cardstock against the pretty lily stamp and new flower which I look forward to seeing on the 18th.
The flourishes in the corner in custard card are so very pretty. I really like the embossed background card behind the focal point in labels four and the sentiment in the resplendent rectangles. The scattered straw distress ink goes really well with the custard card.
Lovely card today. Thank you for your Inspiring blog.
Best wishes from Katie-Louise

ReplyDeleteGood evening Julia,
ReplyDeletei love todays card as it is beautiful. Because of you i bought some of the drawing inks from Cosmic Shimmer because i like the personal touch you can add with the match of choosing you own colour ways. I really like todays colour choice with the brighter part due to the Lilies.
