Happy Birthday

Hi Bloggers.

I have shows today on Create & Craft at 11am (with Leonie) and 5pm (with Shaun). Hope you can join me.

Here's a card from today's shows -

For the background, I inked through the Blossom Mask with Fired Brick Distress Ink using Cut n Dry Foam. I moved the mask along the card to extend the design. With the stamp in my hand I randomly stamped the Clocks A6 Stamp using Aged Mahogany Distress Ink. Then I filled in some of the gaps using the Postcards A6 Stamp, using Fired Brick. I made sure the ink was dry and then ran it through the Grand Calibur with the Couture Creations Great Almanzo Embossing Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the design and inked around the edges with Fired Brick.

I stamped the Daisy Swirl Stamp using Perfect Medium and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Blue Raspberry Aurora Embossing Powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Labels 29 and inked through the die with Fired Brick. I cut a mat out of Ruby Card using Spellbinders Decorative Labels 8.

I stamped the sentiment that comes with the Daisy Swirl using Perfect Medium and embossed with Blue Raspberry Aurora. I cut it out using Spellbinders Fancy Postage Edge and inked through the die with Fired Brick.

I tied a bow using Red Sheer Wrinkled Edge Ribbon and added a Fancy Pearl Embellishment.

I assembled the card as shown adding some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in White around the edges.

See you later!

Thanks for stopping by.

Just for You

Hi Bloggers.

As promised, here's a sneak peak from tomorrow's shows -

There's lots of lovely products on the show which you can see on the Creative Expressions website here. There are no dies on the show which meant that I have been able to use lots of different dies for the samples.

For the background I inked d through the Floral Vines Mask with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink using Cut n Dry Foam. I moved the mask around so that the whole area was covered.

I stamped the Tatty's Sunflower Stamp using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I coloured in using Cosmic Shimmer Matt Drawing Inks. I used Sunflower from the Summer Fayre Set, Meadow Lime and Sea View from the Garden Twist Set and Cosmic Tone from the Skin Tones Set. I cut out using Spellbinders Labels 8 and inked through the die with Tumbled Glass. I cut a Spellbinders Decorative Labels 8 out of blue card.

I stamped the sentiment from the Creative Expressions Treasured Memories Stamp Set using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I cut it out using Decorative Labels 8 and inked through the die with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink. I cut a mat out of blue card using Labels 8.

I stamped just the sunflower head from the Tatty's Sunflower Stamp 3 times using jet Black Archival and embossed with Clear Powder. I coloured them in using Sunflower and Sea View Cosmic Shimmer Matt Drawing Inks. I cut them out using scissors and went around the edges with a black Promarker to hide any white bits.

I assembled the card as shown adding some White Pearls and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Spring Green around the edges.

New Products now available in my Amazon Store

Hi Bloggers.

Some of you may have spotted some of the new products in my Amazon Store. I've been putting off posting about them as it was taking a while to upload the Justrite Christmas Stamps - unfortunately, now it seems that I am not authorised to sell these on Amazon. This happens sometimes but you don't actually know that you can't list them until you try - which is a bit late really as you've already purchased the stock!

So, I have the following Justrite stamps in stock available to purchase by paying via paypal or a postal order - just email me at juliawattscrafts@gmail.com for payment details. Postage will be charged at £1.50 for 1st item, then 10p extra for each extra item.

I have 4 Festive Poinsettia Clear Stamp Sets at £14.99 each

I have 2 Christmas Inner Thoughts Rubber Stamp Sets available at £19.99 each

I have 6 Grand Christmas Sentiments Rubber Stamp Sets available at £19.99 each

Here are the products that I did manage to load into my Amazon Store (just click on the link to go straight to them) -

Mr & Mrs

Hi Bloggers.

I thought I'd move away from Christmas today and share a card I made for the previous Heartfelt Creations/Justrite Pick of the Day as Sue had some of these stamps and dies on her Toolshed Show last Sunday.

For the background, I inked through the Elegance Mask with Peach Bellini Adirondack Dye Ink using Cut n Dry Foam. I did this 3 times across the card. I then ran it through a new Couture Creations Folder called Extra Loren which we're waiting for delivery of at the warehouse (sorry to tease but I thought they'd be here by now). I ran it through a second time to extend the design and then inked around the edges with Peach Bellini.

I stamped the sentiment panel from the Justrite Mr & Mrs Vintage Labels Four Stamp Set using Perfect Medium and added True White Cosmic Shimmer Detail Embossing Powder. I did not heat set at this point. I stamped the frame from the same stamp set around it and added the white powder, then heat set the lot. I cut it out using Justrite Vintage Labels Four Dies. I inked around the edges with Peach Bellini after removing from the die.

I cut a pair of Heartfelt Creations Decorative Lattice Dies out of Coconut White Card and inked through the dies with Peach Bellini.

I tied a bow using 2 lengths of White Silky Crush Ribbon and added a Peach Dazzler.

I assembled the card as shown adding an 8mm White Pearl in each corner and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in White around the edges.

I'll be back tomorrow with a sneak peak from Saturday's shows.

Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Holiday Wishes

Hi Bloggers.

Here's another card with a rosette.

For the background, I stamped one of the baubles from the Justrite Vintage Christmas Ornaments Stamp Set using Dusty Concord Distress Ink. I then stamped the 'Noel' sentiment from the Justrite Christmas Vintage Labels Four Clear Stamp Set a few times. I made sure the ink was dry and then ran it through the Grand Calibur with the Spellbinders Holiday Magic M-Bossabilities Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the design and inked around the edges with Dusty Concord.

I popped some Double Sided Adhesive Sheet onto some card and cut a Spellbinders 2010 Heirloom Ornament and a holly border from the Spellbinders Holly Accent Die Set. I peeled off the backing from the bauble and covered with Lavender Cosmic Shimmer Polished Silk Glitter. I cut 4 of the largest dies from the Spellbinders 2011 Snowflake Pendant out of Coconut White Card. I inked through the die with Dusty Concord on all of them. I left 2 of them whole and fixed them together using 3D Foam offsetting them slightly. I trimmed the long pointy bits off on the other 2 and scored them across the centre. I made a cut to the centre of each and mountain and valley folded them. I glued them together using Cosmic Shimmer Dries Clear Glue. I stamped the sentiment from the Justrite Christmas Vintage Labels Four Stamp Set using Jet Black Archival and embossed using Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Decorative Labels 22 and inked through the die with Dusty Concord. I added it to the centre of my rosette with a couple of foam pads.

I peeled the backing off the holly border that I had cut and rubbed Lavender Polished Silk Glitter into it.

I tied a bow using Purple/Ivory Striped Grosgrain Ribbon and added a Fancy Pearl Embellishment.

I assembled the card as shown adding some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Vintage Plum around the edges.

The Magic of Christmas Never Ends

Hi Bloggers.

Unfortunately I didn't get to demo this card.

You can see how to do this background technique on Sue's blog here. On my sample I used Cosmic Shimmer Clear Crystal Lacquer, Cool Peri, Aqua and Denim Alcohol Inks and I sprinkled a little Silver Chrome and Ice Blue Cosmic Shimmer Polished Silk Glitter instead of Mica Powder.

I stamped the sentiment from the Justrite Inner Thoughts Stamp Set using Cobalt Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Snowflake Pendant 2011 and inked through the die with Broken China Distress Ink. I cut another Snowflake Pendant out and offset it below the sentiment one.

I cut some more snowflakes out using the Snowflake Pendant 2011 and 2012 die sets.

I assembled the card as shown adding some white pearls and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Silver Lustre around the edges.

Merry and Bright

Hi Bloggers.

Today's card features a fab Santa stamp.

For the background, I stamped one of the holly sprig stamps from the Justrite Vintage Christmas Ornaments Rubber Stamp Set a few times using Iced Spruce Distress Ink. Then I filled in some of the gaps by stamping the 'Tis the Season' sentiment from the Justrite Christmas Inner Thoughts Rubber Stamp Set. I popped a clean nozzle from a pot of Cosmic Shimmer Dries Clear Glue onto a pot of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in White. I drizzled the PVA across the background diagonally and then diagonally the other way. I put it aside to dry. Once dry I ran it through the Grand Calibur with the Spellbinders Holiday Magic M-Bossabilities Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the design and then inked around the edges with Iced Spruce using Cut n Dry Foam.

I stamped the gorgeous Santa from the Justrite Christmas Labels 22 Rubber Stamp Set using Iced Spruce and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Aurora Crystal Sparkle Embossing Powder. I cut it out using Justrite Vintage Labels Three Dies and inked through the die with Iced Spruce. I cut a Holly Motif out of Dark Green Card using the Spellbinders Holly Motifs Die Set and popped it behind Santa.

I wrapped some White Silky Crush Ribbon around the right hand side of the background. I cut a holly border using Spellbinders Holly Accents die set and glued it to the ribbon.

I stamped the sentiment from the Inner Thoughts Stamp Set using Iced Spruce and embossed with Aurora Crystal Sparkle. I cut it out using Justrite Vintage Labels Four Dies and inked through the die with Iced Spruce. I cut 2 corners using the Spellbinder Holly Accents Die Set and glued them to the sentiment panel as shown.

I assembled the card as shown adding some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in White around the edges.

Have a festive Christmas

Hi Bloggers.

A pink Christmas card today.

For the background, I simply inked through the Holly Wreath Mask with Spun Sugar Distress Ink using Cut n Dry Foam. I moved the mask around to cover the whole area, inking through the holly parts only.

The baubles are from the Justrite Vintage Christmas Ornaments Rubber Stamp Set. For the larger one, I first stamped the sentiment from the Justrite Festive Poinsettia Clear Stamp Set, using Perfect Medium and added Cosmic Shimmer True White Embossing Powder. I then stamped the bauble around it, added the powder and heat set the lot. I cut the baubles out using Spellbinders Heirloom Ornaments 2013. I added some pink Bakers Twine from the Pastel Set to each.

I tied a bow using 2 lengths of White Silky Crush Ribbon and added a Pink Dazzler.

I assembled the card as shown adding some White Pearls and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in White around the edges.

Don't forget Sue is on the Toolshed on Create & Craft today 12noon till 2pm.

Thanks for stopping by.

Spirit of Love

Hi Bloggers.

A couple of really simple cards today using Cosmic Shimmer Texture Paste. It takes a few hours to dry so prepare a batch for some quick Christmas Card batch making.

Here's the first -

Silver Pearl Texture Paste used through the Over the Roof Tops Mask. Cobalt Card and Cobalt Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA coming to my Amazon Shop soon. The sentiment is from the Justrite Vintage Labels Four Clear Stamp Set, stamped with Perfect Medium and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Silver Shine Metallic Embossing Powder, cut out using Justrite Vintage Labels Four Dies and inked through the die with Faded Jeans Distress Ink.

Here's the next card (bit out of focus - sorry!) -

Royal Gold Texture Paste used with the Holly Wreath Mask. The sentiment is from the Grand Christmas Sentiments Rubber Stamp Set (on order!), stamped using Perfect Medium and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Bright Gold Metallic Embossing Powder, cut out using Justrite Vintage Labels Two dies and inked throufh the die with Seedless Preserves Distress Ink. I cut 4 holly corners using the Spellbinders Holly Accents Die Set, inking through the die with Seedless Preserves. I used a dot of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Vintage Plum on each corner and put some dots of the sames around the edges.

Great batch cards and quite flat too so not too bad for posting.

Thanks for stopping by.

Merry Christmas

Hi Bloggers.

I've a few Christmas Cards to share - hope you don't mind!

Here's today's offering -

The background on this one features Alcohol Inks but this time I used them on Silver Mirri Card. I popped some Aqua, Cool Peri and Denim Alcohol Inks onto my applicator tool and inked all over the Mirri Card, replenishing the ink when necessary. Next, I popped some Snowcap Mixative onto my craft sheet and used it to stamp the 2 snowflakes from the Justrite Inner Thoughts Stamp Set (on order for my Amazon Shop).

I wrapped a piece of White Silky Crush Ribbon around the background. I tied a bow using 2 lengths of the Silky Crush Ribbon and added an Idea-ology Christmas Adornment adding a pearl in the centre.

I stamped the sentiment from the Justrite Grand Christmas Sentiments (I have ordered some of these for my Amazon Shop) using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Labels 20 and inked through the die with Broken China Distress Ink. I cut a Justrite Vintage Label Four Die out of Black card and at the emboss stage added the Spellbinders Holiday Magic M-Bossabilities Folder.

I cut a holly border out of Coconut White Card using Spellbinders Holly Accents and inked through the die with Broken China.

I assembled the card as shown adding some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Silver Lustre around the edges.

Thank You So Much

Hi Bloggers.

Thank you so much for all your emails, messages and comments here on the blog regarding the Pick of the Day. I'm glad you loved the stamps and products that were on the shows. A day of unpacking today and getting started on my cards for my next shows on July 20th.

The Justrite Christmas Labels 20 Clear Stamp Set contains a Thank You sentiment that is so useful any time of the year. Here's today's card -

For the background, I used a piece of Double Sided Adhesive Sheet which I popped onto some card. I peeled off the backing, lightly dusted the Peacock Feathers Mask with my anti static bag and popped it onto the adhesive. I covered the exposed adhesive with Penny Copper Cosmic Shimmer Polished Silk Glitter, really rubbing it in and clearing it off from the mask. I peeled the mask away from the adhesive and added Golden Sand Cosmic Shimmer Polished Silk Glitter. The more you rub this glitter in the less it will shed.

I stamped the frame from the Justrite Christmas Labels 20 Clear Stamp Set using Coffee Archival. I cut it out using Spellbinders Labels 20 and inked through the die with Vintage Photo Distress Ink. I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set, again using Coffee Archival. I cut it out using a smaller Spellbinders Labels 20 and inked through the die with Vintage Photo.

I tied a bow using 2 lengths of Champagne Silky Crush Ribbon and added a Brown Dazzler.

I glued a couple of Decorative Corners to 2 of the corners using Cosmic Shimmer Dries Clear Glue.

I assembled the card as shown adding some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Dark Bronze around the edges.

Thanks for stopping by.

Julia.

Merry and Bright

Hi Bloggers.

Hope you're enjoying the Pick of the Day. 9 shows scheduled today (please see yesterday's post for times and channels). I'm not sure if the 9am is going ahead as it's not on the schedule as I write this.

Here's today's card -

For the background, I used Milk Card. With the stamp in my hand, I randomly stamped the Newsprint Holly A6 Stamp using Dusty Concord Distress Ink. I then stamped a few berries from the Justrite Festive Poinsettia Clear Stamp using Seedless Preserves Distress Ink. I made sure the ink was dry and then ran it through the Grand Calibur with the Peacock Feathers Mask to add a bit of texture.I inked around the edges with Seedless Preserves using Cut n Dry Foam.

I stamped the sentiment from the Justrite Inner Thoughts Rubber Stamp Set using Jet Black Archival and added Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I did not heat set just yet. I stamped the large bauble stamp which is from the Justrite Heritage Christmas Ornaments Clear Stamp Set around the sentiment, again using Jet Black Archival, added Clear Powder and heat set the lot. I cut it out using the largest of the Spellbinders 2013 Heirloom Ornament Dies and inked through the die with Seedless Preserves. I threaded some Purple/Ivory Striped Grosgrain Ribbon through the loop at the top of the bauble and secured it at the back of the background piece. I tied another piece of ribbon into a knot and added it to the top of the bauble as shown.

I glued an Art Deco Corner in each corner using Cosmic Shimmer Dries Clear Glue.

I finished the card off with some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Vintage Plum around the edges.

Thanks for stopping by.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

Hi Bloggers.

I launch the Pick of the Day tonight on Ideal World. The times and channels are currently as follows -

Today 9pm and 11pm - Ideal World
Tomorrow 8am, 9am and 10am Ideal World, 12noon Create & Craft, 1pm Ideal World, 3pm Create & Craft, 4pm Ideal World, 5pm Create & Craft, 7pm Ideal World.

Not sure how much sense I'll be making by the end of it but hope you can join me for some of the shows.

Here's today;s card -

For the background, I randomly stamped one of the trees from the Justrite Holiday Magic Clear Stamp Set using Forest Moss Distress Ink. Next I stamped some berries from the Justrite Festive Poinsettia Clear Stamp Set (there's 3 different ones on this set - I think this set will be the first to sellout) using Peeled Paint Distress Ink. I made sure the ink was dry and then ran it through the Grand Calibur with the Spellbinders Holiday Magic M-Bossabilities Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the design and inked around the edges with Peeled Paint using Cut n Dry Foam.

I stamped the sentiment from the Justrite Christmas Labels 20 Clear Stamp Set using Olive Archival and added Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I did not heat set just yet. I stamped the frame from the same stamp set, again using Olive Archival, added clear powder and heat set the lot. I cut it out using Spellbinders Labels 20 and inked through the die with Peeled Paint. I cut some holly corners using the Spellbinders Holly Motifs Die Set and added them to the frame as shown.

I stamped the 3 smallest poinsettias from the Justrite Festive Poinsettia Clear Stamp Set using Peeled Paint Distress Ink. I cut them out using Spellbinders Layered Poinsettias Die Set (it's easiest if you cut yourself a template first to do this accurately). There's really no point in embossing them as all the detail on this is from the stamps. I also cut a larger poinsettia out of green card - I did emboss this one as I didn't stamp it. I curled the petals with my fingers and layered them up, securing with Cosmic Shimmer Dries Clear Glue. I added 3 x 3mm Cream Pearls to the centre. I tied a bow using Green/Ivory Striped Grosgrain Ribbon and added my poinsettia to it.

I assembled the card as shown adding some Cream Pearls in the corners and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Vintage Golden Green around the edges.

See you later!

Thanks for stopping by.
