Hi Bloggers.
Unfortunately I didn't get to demo this card.
You can see how to do this background technique on Sue's blog here. On my sample I used Cosmic Shimmer Clear Crystal Lacquer, Cool Peri, Aqua and Denim Alcohol Inks and I sprinkled a little Silver Chrome and Ice Blue Cosmic Shimmer Polished Silk Glitter instead of Mica Powder.
I stamped the sentiment from the Justrite Inner Thoughts Stamp Set using Cobalt Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Snowflake Pendant 2011 and inked through the die with Broken China Distress Ink. I cut another Snowflake Pendant out and offset it below the sentiment one.
I cut some more snowflakes out using the Snowflake Pendant 2011 and 2012 die sets.
I assembled the card as shown adding some white pearls and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Silver Lustre around the edges.
Thanks for stopping by.
Julia.

Good morning Julia,
ReplyDeleteTodays card reminds me of a magical winters night with the clear dark night in all its splendor almost like the Northern Night skies that we can get a glimpse of every now and then or it could be my overactive imagination which works wonderfully. It is a beautiful card and one that i would make for ..... me to sit and look at when we don't have the lovely skies.
Thank you for your imagination
Love and crafty hugs
Norah

ReplyDeleteHi Julia
ReplyDeleteLovely card today. However, you didn't say which technique you used for the background on the card. I assume that it was Sue's shaving foam technique?. love the snowflake stamps.
Just click on the link and it will take you to Sue's Caught In Crystal technique.
DeleteEvening Julia, stunning card today. Ticks all the boxes for me. Gorgeous colours. Kind regards Joanne K x
