Hi Bloggers.
Lisa Horton is launching a new One Day Special on Hochanda at 6pm. I have made a few samples for the shows so I'm sharing one today -
The background has been created by mopping up waste Distress Oxide Inks. Whatever ink was left on my Craft Sheet has been misted with water and picked up onto a piece of Milk Card. The colours on there are Broken China, Fired Brick and Vintage Photo.
I stamped some cogs from an old very loved stamp set from Creative Expressions Stamp Set called Vintage Inventor using Fired Brick and Vintage Photo Distress Oxide. I placed the Creative Expressions Vintage Diamond Mini Stencil on the bottom right of my background and spread some CS Clear Texture Paste through it. I repeated this in the top left hand side and put aside to dry.
I wondered if the Distress Oxide Ink would ride to the surface of the Texture Paste but it did not - this could have been because the background ink had been really dry (from a demo). If it had just been made then perhaps some of the ink might have moved in the Texture Paste? Something to try!
Once my Texture Paste was dry, I placed the Mini Stencil back on top and inked through with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide to make the design a bit more prominent.
I went around the edges with a Woodware Edge Crimper and then edged with Vintage Photo and Fired Brick Distress Oxides. I matted onto Black Card and then Milk Card.
I cut dies #2 and #3 together from the Industrial Chic Background out of Milk Card twice.
I cut the largest die in the Industrial Chic Frame & Tag Die Set out of Chestnut Card. I cut the Ransom Note Birthday Die out of some more of my mopped up ink card.
I painted a Flourish Pop-em with Tarnished Silver CS Shimmer Paint. I added Marigold CS Metallic Lustre Paint - I added a good thick coat. I heated it and it bubbled a bit. I then added some Chocolate Gold CS Metallic Lustre Paint - again quite a thick coat. I heated it and it bubbled some more. Looks good, doesn't it?
I cut a few of the dies from the Industrial Chic Mixed Essentials Die Set out of Black Gloss Card.
I'm offering 10% off items from the shows on my website. You can find them here.

Belated Birthday Wishes
Hi Bloggers.
Here's today's card -
I've been using up some demo bits again on this card.
For the background, I spread some CS Clear Texture Paste through the Triangular Mask onto Coconut White Card. Leaving the mask in place, I sprinkled some CS Mica Powders over - I used Graceful Pink, Graceful Lilac and Graceful Mint. I removed the mask and put aside to dry.
Once dry, I made a frame out of Coconut White Card using Sue Wilson's Double Pierced Squares and Double Pierced Squares Set B. I added it to my background using 3D Foam Tape and trimmed away the excess using scissors.
I stamped the Creative Expressions Garden Song Stamp onto Coconut White Card using Jet Black Archival. I coloured in using Colour Clouds - I used Pretty In Pink, Lilac Whisper and Chic Moss. I cut out using the largest die in Sue's Bora Bora Die Set.
I coloured a piece of Coconut White Card with Pretty in Pink Colour Cloud using a Smoothie. I cut 3 sizes of Sue's Orange Blossom Complete Petals out of it twice. I cut the corresponding Orange Blossom Open Petals out of Coconut White Card. I added a little glue to the centres of the pink die cuts only and added the white open die cuts. I shaped them a little and made my flowers adding an 8mm White Pearl to the centres. I cut a pair of leaves out of Coconut White Card using Lace Edged Leaves.
I completed my card by adding a couple of Coconut White Card mats and an 8mm Pink Dazzler from the Pink Dazzler Collection to the corners of my frame.
Phill Martin is continuing with his One Day Special on Hochanda today with shows at 9am, 12noon, 4pm and 7pm. I'm offering 10% discount on items I have in stock on my website from the shows. You can find them here. Offer applies till midnight tonight or while stocks last. Discount will be applied at checkout.

With Very Best Wishes
Hi Bloggers.
Happy New Year!
Here's today's card -
For the background, I spread some CS Clear Texture Paste through the TST Triangular Mask onto Coconut White Card. Leaving the mask in place, I sprinkled over Phill Martin CS Mica Powders in Graceful Pink, Graceful Mint and Chic Viola using a Dusting Brush. I removed the mask and put my background aside to dry (a couple of hours).
Once my background was dry, I made a frame out of Coconut White Card using Sue Wilson's Double Pierced Rectangles and Double Pierced Rectangles Set B. I added it to my background using 3D Foam Tape.
I stamped the sentiment and the banner from Phill Martin's Timeless Everyday Sentiment Banners Stamp Set onto Coconut White Card using Watering Can Archival. I cut it out using scissors, chopped off the left-hand side, shaped it and tucked it into my frame.
I cut a couple of leaves out of Coconut White Card using Sue's Trailing Ivy Die Set.
For the flower, I popped some CS Clear Ultra Thick Embossing Crystals into a Pie Dish and popped it on top of the EFCO Enamel Pot. Once moulten, I added some PM CS Chic Viola Mica Powder and mixed carefully. I poured this into a silicone mould - it sets in just a couple of minutes. It shimmers beautifully in real life.
I finished my card off by adding an 8mm White Pearl to the corners of my frame and a couple of Coconut White Card mats.
Today's Flash Sale (last one!) is 20% off all Ribbon. You can find them here. Offer applies till midnight tonight or While Stocks Last. Discount will be applied at checkout.
The new Card Payment system on my website is up and running - it should look exactly the same to you. Phew!

Make a Wish
Hi Bloggers.
Here's today's card (another from our playdate) -
For the background, I popped some CS Clear Texture Paste onto my Craft Sheet. I sprinkled some CS Straw Yellow Pixie Powder onto it and mixed it really well. I placed the Peacock Mask onto a piece of Coconut White Card, securing with Low Tack Tape. I put my texture along one edge of the mask and used a Dreamweaver Texture Paste Spreader to move the paste across my mask- brillaint tool, gives a lovely smooth finish and is wide enough to reach across the width of the mask. Leaving the mask in place, I sprinkled some CS Burnt Orange Pixie Powder over and removed the mask. I put my background aside to dry (approx 2 hours). I love the way the Pixie Powder crystalises as it dries.
I made a frame out of Coconut White Card using Sue Wilson's Double Pierced Squares and Double Pierced Squares Set B. I added it to my background using 3D Foam and trimmed away the excess using scissors.
I stamped the sentiment from the Justrite Cupcake Celebration Stamp Set onto Coconut White Card using Coffee Archival. I cut it out using Sue's Indian Ocean Tag Duo. I used the same tag to mount my sentiment, using Coconut White and Custard Card.
I made a flower out of Custard Card using Sue's Cape Daisy Die Set and added a Craft Consortium Pearl & Diamante Circle to the centre. I cut a couple of leaves out of Coconut White Card using Sue's Bold Scrolled Vine Die Set.
I finished my card with a few 8mm White Pearls on my frame and some mats of Coconut White and Custard Card.
Sue Wilson's latest collection of dies and stamps are launching today. Be sure to check out her blog over the next few days to see cards made with the collection. You can buy the dies from me on my website here. Pre-orders will be posted out today.
John Lockwood is launching a One Day Special on Hochanda this evening at 8pm with some of Sue Wilson's September release of dies and stamps.
