Hi Bloggers.
Here's another card with a rosette.
For the background, I stamped one of the baubles from the Justrite Vintage Christmas Ornaments Stamp Set using Dusty Concord Distress Ink. I then stamped the 'Noel' sentiment from the Justrite Christmas Vintage Labels Four Clear Stamp Set a few times. I made sure the ink was dry and then ran it through the Grand Calibur with the Spellbinders Holiday Magic M-Bossabilities Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the design and inked around the edges with Dusty Concord.
I popped some Double Sided Adhesive Sheet onto some card and
cut a Spellbinders 2010 Heirloom Ornament and a holly border from the Spellbinders Holly Accent Die Set. I peeled off the backing from the bauble and
covered with Lavender Cosmic Shimmer Polished Silk Glitter. I cut 4 of the largest dies from the
Spellbinders 2011 Snowflake Pendant out of Coconut White Card. I inked
through the die with Dusty Concord on all of them. I left 2 of them whole
and fixed them together using 3D Foam
offsetting them slightly. I trimmed the long pointy bits off on the
other 2 and scored them across the centre. I made a cut to the centre of
each and mountain and valley folded them. I glued them together using Cosmic Shimmer Dries Clear Glue. I stamped the sentiment from the Justrite Christmas Vintage Labels Four Stamp Set using Jet Black Archival and embossed using Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Decorative Labels 22 and inked through the die with Dusty Concord. I added it to the centre of my rosette with a couple of foam pads.
I peeled the backing off the holly border that I had cut and rubbed Lavender Polished Silk Glitter into it.
I tied a bow using Purple/Ivory Striped Grosgrain Ribbon and added a Fancy Pearl Embellishment.
I assembled the card as shown adding some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Vintage Plum around the edges.
Thanks for stopping by.
Julia.
Great card, though feels odd looking at Christmas cards at 6am when the thermostat says 23 degrees!

ReplyDeleteHi Julia another lovely card done in a lovely colour,I'm usually traditional colours with my tree but with cards I love doing pastels and monochrome!! I'm also finding it hard to do any crafting at the moment as in London it's been in the 30s and very humid, not that I'm complaining cos it's better than the cold and rain we were getting!! Love Lesley x
