If the Shoe Fits

Hi Bloggers.

This is probably going to be my first demo today.

For the background, I spritzed a piece of Milk Card with Cosmic Shimmer Vintage Mister in Marigold. I dried it with my heat tool and then popped the Floral Vines Mask on top. I inked through the mask using the Paris Trunk Dye Ink Pad in Sepia using Cut n Dry Foam. I then randomly stamped over the top with the circular shoes stamp from the Creative Expressions If the Shoe Fits.... Stamp Set (another one of Sam Poole's designs).

I stamped the shoe from the same stamp set using jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I coloured the inside of the shoe and the heel using the Sepia ink and a paint brush (I swiped some ink onto a tile and added a little water to it from a paint brush). For the main design on the shoe, I dipped a damp paint brush into the Dark Bronze Mica Powder from the Cosmic Shimmer Mica Spray Set 1 - Metallics. I put the Mica Powder on to a tile and a little water until the desired consistency was reached. I cut the shoe out with scissors and then went around the edges with a marker pen to hide any white bits. I cut the largest of the Spellbinders Splendid Circles out of Milk Card and inked through the die with Sepia.

I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Clear Powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Labels 25 and inked through the die with Sepia.

I assembled the card as shown adding some Black Swirls and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Dark Bronze around the edges.

Hope you can join me on Create & Craft today at 1pm and 7pm.

Thanks for stopping by.

Happiness is Like Perfume

Hi Bloggers.

A sneak peak today of one of the sample cards for tomorrows shows.

For the background, I ran some Coconut White Card through the Grand Calibur with the Couture Creations Intrinsic Embossing Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the pattern. It is not a repeating pattern but you can hardly see the join. I inked around the edges with Garnet Paris Trunk Dye Ink using Cut n Dry Foam.

I stamped the image from the Creative Expressions You Look Scent 'sational' Stamp Set (designed by Sam Poole) using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I coloured it in using the Garnet ink. I swiped some ink onto a white tile and added a little water with a paint brush. The darker areas are where I coloured first. I then added some more water which lightened the colour and so that was what I used in the lighter areas. The gold is from the Cosmic Shimmer Mica Spray Set 1 - Metallics. I dipped a damp paint brush into the Pale Gold Mica Powder and popped it on my tile. I added water to get the correct consistency and painted the areas on the perfume bottle as shown. I cut the image out using the second largest Spellbinders Fleur de Lys Square die. I inked through the die with the Garnet Ink. I also cut the largest of the Fleur de Lys Squares and inked through the die with Garnet.

I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set again using the Jet Black Archival and embossed with the clear powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Labels 25 and inked through the die with Garnet. I tied a bow using 3 lengths of Rose Petal American Seam Binding and added a Pink Dazzler.

I assembled the card as shown adding a line of Self Adhesive White Pearls in various sizes above the sentiment and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Vintage Pink around the edges.

Thanks for stopping by.

The Beauty of Life

Hi Bloggers.

The times for my shows on Friday have changed to 1pm and 7pm which means that I don't have to get up so early - happy about that! Also, I appear to be with Nigel at 1pm and Loen at 7pm so both shows should be a lot of fun.

This card from the Pick of the Day is a little OTT as the flower on it is HUGE! Bit of fun anyway.

For the background, I randomly stamped a large flower from the Creative Expressions Whimsical Floral Stamp Set on to some Foundations Shades Paper using Peach Bellini Adirondack Dye Ink. I made sure it was dry and then ran it through the Grand Calibur with the Spellbinders Garden Lattice M-Bossabilities Folder.

I cut the second largest of the Grand Decorative Ovals One out of pale peach card and the next smallest die out of Foundations Argyle Paper. I cut a Marvelous Square out of a darker peach card. I stamped the sentiment from the Whimsical Floral Stamp Set onto the pale peach card using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I cut it out using a couple of Exquisite Circles dies. This pair benefit from using the Wax Paper when cutting.

I made the flower using the the backing die from the Triumphant Blossom CFT die set. I cut 6 out of Foundations Shades Paper. I spritzed each one with water then scrunched them up. I opened them out and stacked them on top of one another alternating light and dark paper and rotating slightly. I pierced the centre and added a brad. Then, starting with the top piece I scrunched each one in to the centre. Once I had done this with all of them, I pulled them apart very slightly. Once dry they will set quite ridged. I cut some leaves out of the shades paper using the French Frills and Botanical Swirls & Accents die sets. I also added some Pearl Swirls coming out from beneath the flower.

I assembled the card as shown adding some 8mm and 5mm white Self Adhesive Pearls in the corners and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in White around the edges.

Friendship Doubles Joy

Hi Bloggers.

Another card today featuring the Creative Expressions Trees of Imagination Stamp Set.

For the background, I ran a piece of Burgundy card through the Grand Calibur with the Couture Creations Chiaro Embossing Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the pattern.

I cut a Spellbinders Scalloped Labels One out of black card. At the emboss stage, I inked over the Floral Vines Mask with Perfect Medium and then placed it on top of the die (NOT the cutting edge side). So, the sandwich here was - base plate, tan mat, die with card in it with cutting edge going down onto tan mat, mask - ink side down, pink embossing plate. I carefully, removed the card from the mask and the die, added Cosmic Shimmer Lava Black Embossing Powder and heat set.

I stamped the tree from the Creative ExpressionsTrees of Imagination Stamp Set using the Perfect Medium and again embossed with Lava Black. It looks different on white card and black card. I cut it out using a smaller Scalloped Labels One.

I stamped the sentiment from the Creative Expressions Sincere Sentiments Stamp Set again with Perfect Medium and embossed with Lava Black. I cut it out using another Scalloped Labels One die.

I tied a bow using 2 lengths of Two Tone Ribbon and added a Black Dazzler.

I assembled the card as shown adding some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Black Pearl around the edges and some Black Self Adhesive Swirls.

Thanks for stopping by.

All orders for the Creative Expressions Project Book have now been posted and as I type this I have just 1 left in stock.

I have also re-stocked the Vintage Lingerie Stamp Set that was used in my project in the Project Book and the Wax Paper is back in stock again.

All for now.

You are So Loved

Hi Bloggers.

A simple masculine card today.

The background is a piece of Foundations Argyle Paper. I stamped the image from the Creative Expressions Trees of Imagination Stamp Set onto some Milk Card using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I cut it out using the backing die from the Spellbinders CFT Puzzle Effect die set. I cut a Scalloped Labels One out of black card.

I wrapped a piece of American Seam Binding around my background as shown. I stamped the sentiment from the Creative Expressions Fanciful Phrases Stamp Set using Jet Archival and embossed with clear powder. I cut it out using the tag die from the Spellbinders French Frill die set. I cut another tag out of black card and used the inner stamped piece with the outer black piece. I tied 2 Key Charms to some Baker's Twine and added it to the bottom of the tag.

I assembled the card as shown adding some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Black Pearl around the edges.

Hello

Hi Bloggers.

For those of you who have asked, I am next on C&C on Friday (30th) - I always put dates and times in the left-hand sidebar of this blog.

Some of the coloured card I use is left over from when I had a shop and the rest is usually from Creative Expressions. I won't be stocking card in my Amazon Store any more as the postage cost is too high as it's such a heavy item.

Here's today's card - a simple one from the Pick of the Day. Here, the embossing folder does most of the work.

For the background, I popped some Coconut White Card inside the Couture Creations Timeless Embossing Folder and ran it through the Grand Calibur. I inked around the edges with Purple Twilight Adirondack Dye Ink using Cut n Dry Foam. I wrapped some Blue White American Seam Binding around the centre. I popped some more Coconut White Card over the centre panel in the folder and ran it through again. I cut around the panel with scissors and then edged with Purple Twilight.

I cut just a backing panel out of Foundations Shades Paper using the Spellbinders CFT Triumphant Blossom die set. I then inked through the Small Polka Dots Mask onto some more Shades Paper and then cut out the main Triumphant Blossom CFT. I folded and tucked and added some 3mm White Pearls.

I stamped the sentiment from the Creative Expressions Trees of Imagination Stamp Set using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Labels 28 and inked through the die with Purple Twilight.

I tied a messy bow using 2 lengths of the American Seam Biding and added a Frosted Violet Dazzler to the centre.

I assembled the card as shown adding some Pearl Swirls and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in White around the edges.

Dee Paramour is doing her first shows on Create & Craft for Creative Expressions today. Dee is a very talented lady so I hope you will find the time to watch or record her shows - she's on at 2pm and 7pm. Here's a link to her blog. I have some of the products she's using (including some of the stamps) in my Amazon Store.

Thanks for stopping by.

Miss You

Hi Bloggers.

Here's today's card from the Pick of the Day.

For the background, I popped some Coconut White card inside the Spellbinders Garden Lattice A4 M-Bossabilities Folder. I edged it with Peach Bellini Adirondack Dye Ink using Cut n Dry Foam.

I cut the smallest of the Spellbinders Grand Decorative Circles One dies out of white card and inked through the die with Peach Bellini. I cut the next size up out of Foundations Dot and Dash Paper. I cut the CFT Triumphant Blossom out of the same Foundations Paper but used the other side uppermost. I folded and tucked and popped it on top of the circles, adding a few 5mm White Pearls as showm.

I stamped the sentiment from the Creative Expressions Sincere Sentiments Stamp Set using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I cut it out using one of the smaller Marvelous Squares dies. I inked through the die with Peach Bellini and added a few more pearls.

I cut some little corners out of Foundations Paper using the French Frills die set and added a pearl to each.

I tied a big bow using 2 lengths of White Sheer Wrinkled Edge Ribbon and added a couple of Crystal Decorative Stick Pins and a Frosted Peach Dazzler.

I assembled the card as shown adding some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in White around the edges.

Diamond Borders

Hi Bloggers.

Back to a Pick of the Day Card today.

For the background, I ran some Coconut White Card through the Grand Calibur with the Couture Creations Ornate Diamonds Embossing Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the pattern and then edged with Aqua Adirondack Dye Ink using Cut n Dry Foam.

I cut 2 borders out of blue card using the Spellbinders Diamond Strips & Accents CFT die set. I inked through the die with the Aqua ink. I folded and tucked them and added some 5mm and 8mm White Pearls.

I stamped the image from the Creative Expressions Lacy Medallions Stamp Set using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I cut it out with scissors and edged it with a black marker pen so no white edges showed. I then swiped some Aqua ink on to a tile, added a little water to my paint brush and then painted in some of the areas of the medallion.

I cut a Labels 28 out of white card and inked through the die with Aqua. I cut a larger Labels 28 out of blue card and again inked through the die with Aqua.

I tied a messy bow using 3 lengths of Sky Blue American Seam Binding and added a Frosted Blue Dazzler.

I assembled the card as shown adding some more 8mm White pearls in the corners and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Summer Blue around the edges.

Project Book and more re-stocks

Hi Bloggers.

Just to let you know that all orders placed for the Project Book on Monday or Tuesday were put in the post today. I have ordered some more and they should be here early next week. You can order them from my Amazon Store here. I have put a 6-10 day dispatch on them to allow them to get here but turnaround is usually quicker than that.

I am currently out of stock of the Wax Paper but have ordered some more and they should also be here early next week.

I have re-stocked the Sole Creations, Trees of Imagination and Masquerade stamp sets.

All for now.

Julia.

Reach for the Stars

Hi Bloggers.

Here's a really easy card featuring the Roundabout Cut, Fold & Tuck.

For the background, I ran some Coconut White card through the Grand Calibur with the Spellbinders Regal M-Bossabilities Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the pattern and then inked around the edges with Espresso Adirondack Die Ink using Cut n Dry Foam.

I cut 2 borders out of Foundations Floral Dream paper using the Persian Accents die set.

I cut 2 of the middle sized Roundabout CFT out of the same Foundations paper and folded and tucked them. I added an 8mm Black Pearl to the centre of each of them.

I stamped the sentiment from the Creative Expressions Dreamy Sentiments Stamp Set using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I cut it out using Labels 25 and inked through the die with Espresso.

I assembled the card as shown adding some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Black Pearl Pearlescent PVA around the edges.

Life's Most Treasured Moments

Hi Bloggers.

Here's one of the cards from Sunday's show. By the way - for those of you who want me to show the dark blue card on here, the only one I can think it might be is the one in this post. If it isn't, try and describe to me what it looked like and I'll try to find it.

For the background, I ran some Coconut White Card through the Grand Calibur with the Spellbinders Elegance M-Bossabilities Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the pattern and then inked around the edges with Terra Cotta Adirondack Dye Ink using Cut n Dry Foam. I wrapped some Red Sheer Wrinkled Edge Ribbon around the background as shown.

I stamped the sentiment from the Creative Expressions Dreamy Sentiments Stamp Set using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I cut it out using the second largest of the Romantic Rectangles dies. At the emboss stage I added the Small Polka Dots Mask. Cosmic Shimmer Embossing Powder doesn't crack when you do this. I inked through the die with Terra Cotta.

I cut the largest of the Romantic Rectangles out of red card. At the emboss stage I added the Elegance Border Mask down the centre.

I made 2 flowers using Spiral Blossom Three - one out of red card and one out of white card. On the white one I inked through the die and on the back of the card with Terra Cotta. I cut some leaves out using Bitty Blossoms - one set out of red card and the other out of white (inking through the die with Terra Cotta).

I tied a bow using 2 lengths of the red ribbon and added a Medium Circle Dazzler in the centre.

I assembled the card as shown adding some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Berry Red around the edges.

Your Kindness

Hi Bloggers.

This was one of the demos from the recent Pick of the Day.

For the background, I popped some Coconut White Card inside the Couture Creations Lovingly Baroque Embossing Folder and ran it through the Grand Calibur. I ran it through a second time to extend the pattern and then edged it with Shell Pink Adirondack Dye Ink using Cut n Dry Foam.

I cut 2 corners out of pink card using the Spellbinders Botanical Swirls & Accents die set. I stamped the sentiment from the Creative Expressions Celebration Stamp Set using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I cut it out using another die from the Botanical Swirls & Accents Die Set and inked through the die with Shell Pink. I wanted the sentiment section to remain attached to the frame so I secured it at the back with tape. I cut the largest of the Exquisite Circles out of white card. At the emboss stage I added the Garden lattice M-Bossibilities Folder (the sandwich you need for this is base plate, 2 pieces of card, folder (do not close), die with card in it with cutting edge face up, tan mat, Raspberry Plate). I did not ink through the die on this one. I cut the smallest of the Grand Decorative Circles One out of white card and inked through the die with Shell Pink.

I assembled the card as shown adding a few 5mm White Pearls and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Vintage Pink around the edges.

Thanks for stopping by.

Hugs and Kisses

Hi Bloggers.

Thanks for all your comments and emails yesterday. I think that was the most comments I've had on a post so far. Here's the demo card that I didn't quite finish yesterday.

For the background, I ran some Coconut white Card through the Grand Calibur with the Spellbinders Hearts M-Bossabilities Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the pattern. This is not a repeating pattern - the Tropic Wine American Seam Binding hides the join on this one. I went around the edges with Raisin Adirondack Dye Ink using Cut n Dry Foam.

I stamped the sentiment from the Creative Expressions Nature's Sentiments Stamp Set using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Persian Motifs and inked through the die with Raisin Ink. I cut the largest of the Spellbinders Splendid Circles out of Burgundy Card. At the emboss stage I added the Celtic Border Mask.

I made 3 flowers using the Bitty Blossoms die set inking through the dies with Raisin Ink before rolling.

I tied a bow using 3 lengths of the Tropic Wine American Seam Binding and added it to the piece on my background. I added a Black Dazzler to the centre.

I assembled the card as shown adding a Black Swirl and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Berry Red (more stock due in soon) around the edges.

Thanks or stopping by.

Julia.

A Single Rose

Hi  Bloggers.

Today I'm on the Toolshed Show on Create & Craft 12noon till 2pm with Lottie. I'll be demonstrating some of my favourite Spellbinders dies from the January release this year.

Here's a card that I shall probably demo today -

For the background I ran the Spellbinders Elegance M-Bossabilities Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the pattern and then edged with Shell Pink Adirondack Dye Ink using Cut n Dry Foam.

I cut a strip of Coconut White Card, laid the Elegance Border Mask over it and inked through with Shell Pink. I cut a border using the Persian Accents die set and inked through the die with Shell Pink.

I stamped the sentiment from the Creative Expressions Garden Sayings Stamp Set using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Floral Ovals and inked through the die with Shell Pink. I cut the largest of the Floral ovals out of white card and at the emboss stage I added the Small Polka Dots Mask. I inked through the die with Shell Pink. I cut the largest of the Romantic Rectangles out of white card and this time I added the Delicate Mask at the emboss stage. Again, I inked through the die with Shell Pink.

I made a flower using Spiral Blossom 3. I inked through the die with Shell Pink and all over the back of the card prior to folding. I cut a couple of leaves out of white card using the Bitty Blossoms die set and inked through the die again with Shell Pink (there's a lot of that!).

I tied a bow using 2 lengths of Rose Sheer Wrinkled Edge Ribbon. I added a Medium Square Dazzler to the centre and a couple of White Pearl Decorative Stick Pins.

I hadn't the right colour pink for a mat so I edged some white card with Shell Pink instead and added some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in White Pearl around the edges. I finished the card of with some Pearl Swirls.

This card can be made in any colour - just change the ink pad and the ribbon.

Hope you can join me later.

Thanks for stopping by.

Julia.

WOW!

Hi Bloggers.

The initial stock of the Project Book that I loaded onto my Amazon Store this morning has all been allocated. I can't load on any more until I speak to the office on Monday morning. I'll post as soon as I have confirmation that more stock is on its way.

Thanks for your support.

Julia.

Project Book available to order now

Hi Bloggers.

I have loaded the Project Book on to my Amazon Store here. Stock should be here on Tuesday or Wednesday. I will post out all orders as soon as it arrives. I've loaded it on early as I know some of you are desperate to get your hands on it. I should have more stock coming than I have loaded but I haven't received confirmation of that.

I have my copy here and it is really lovely with each project having a double A4 spread. The photographs are stunning.

Please scroll gown to the next post for today's card.

All for now.

Julia

Kindred Spirits

Hi Bloggers.

This is the first all-white card I've ever made and it was the first demo the I actually got to finish on the Pick of the Day shows last week.

For the background, I ran a piece of Coconut White card through the Grand Calibur with the Couture Creations Annalee Embossing Folder. The card was wider than the folder (about 5 1/2").

I stamped the sentiment from the Creative Expressions Thoughtful Sentiments Stamp Set using Perfect Medium, added some Cosmic Shimmer Silver Shine Metallic Embossing Powder and heat set. I  cut it out using a Spellbinders Marvelous Squares die.

I cut  the largest but one of the Marvelous Squares out of White Card and also the next size but this time also included the next die on the same piece of card too. When I had cut & embossed them, I re-inserted the cut outs and secured them at the back with tape.

I tied a bow using 2 lengths of White Sheer Wrinkle Edge Ribbon. I added a Fancy Pearl Embellishment and a couple of White Pearl Decorative Stick Pins.

I assembled the card as shown adding some Pearls in the corners and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in White around the edges.

Thanks for stopping by.

Wishing you all the Happiest of Things

Hi Bloggers.

A card full of corners today.

I cut 4 of the corners from the Spellbinders Diamond Strips & Accents CFT die set out of Foundations Paper. I inked through the die on each of them with Caramel Adirondack Dye Ink using Cut n Dry Foam. I folded and tucked all of them. I cut 4 corners backers out of Foundations Shades Paper and mounted the CFT corners on to them using Cosmic Shimmer Dries Clear Glue.

I ran some Milk card through the Grand Calibur with the Spellbinders Garden Lattice A4 M-Bossabilities Folder.

I stamped the sentiment from the Creative Expressions Celebration Stamp Set using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I cut it out using one of the Exquisite Circles dies and inked through the die with Caramel. I cut another Exquisite Circle out of tan card.

I assembled the card as shown adding some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Olympic Gold around the edges.

Thanks for stopping by.
