Hi Bloggers.
This was one of the demos from the recent Pick of the Day.
For the background, I popped some Coconut White Card inside the Couture Creations Lovingly Baroque Embossing Folder and ran it through the Grand Calibur. I ran it through a second time to extend the pattern and then edged it with Shell Pink Adirondack Dye Ink using Cut n Dry Foam.
I cut 2 corners out of pink card using the Spellbinders Botanical Swirls & Accents die set. I stamped the sentiment from the Creative Expressions Celebration Stamp Set using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I cut it out using another die from the Botanical Swirls & Accents Die Set and inked through the die with Shell Pink. I wanted the sentiment section to remain attached to the frame so I secured it at the back with tape. I cut the largest of the Exquisite Circles out of white card. At the emboss stage I added the Garden lattice M-Bossibilities Folder (the sandwich you need for this is base plate, 2 pieces of card, folder (do not close), die with card in it with cutting edge face up, tan mat, Raspberry Plate). I did not ink through the die on this one. I cut the smallest of the Grand Decorative Circles One out of white card and inked through the die with Shell Pink.
I assembled the card as shown adding a few 5mm White Pearls and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Vintage Pink around the edges.
Thanks for stopping by.
Julia.

Hi Julia, another beautiful card, love the pink and white, and those corners are fabulous, my wish list is getting so long. Bx
ReplyDeleteOooooh Julia - love this card. It's probably the colours that appeal initially. funny how that can have a real effect on whether you like something or not. I am a bit fickle like that - I don't stop to think that something may look better in a different colour way, I just rule it out as I don't like the colours. Luckily the sensible bit of me sometimes gets a grip and makes me look again for the potential in something and then I can see past the colour. Bit deep for this time in the morning -better go and do something blonde now!!!!! Julie
ReplyDeleteGood morning Julia
