Day 2 of Ally Pally today. As I said yesterday, if you're visiting, please come and say Hi.
Here's today's card - comments saying it is too dark for you are not allowed today. Just think of it in lighter colours if that's what you're thinking! As always, the idea of this blog is to give you ideas and inspire you to have a go with your own colour schemes.
To start, I popped the
Rope Mask onto a piece of Black Card and spread
Silver Moon Cosmic Shimmer Sparkle Texture Paste through it. I removed the mask and put aside to dry.
I stamped the sentiment from the Creative Expressions Gratitudes Stamp Set using Perfect Medium and embossed with
Cosmic Shimmer Silver Shine Detail Embossing Powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Captivating Squares. I cut a Spellbinders Marvelous Squares out of Silver Card.
I assembled the card as shown adding some dots of
Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Black Pearl around the edges.

I enjoyed yesterday at Ally Pally I saw your demo (which was brilliant) and I had a little chat with you as well. I spent way too much money. Hi Julia, stunning card, I also love black and silver, they are a perfect match, I have just made 2 birthday cards with my rope mask, one in black and silver and one in copper and black. Both for men, and I was very pleased with the results. Wish I was coming to Ally Pally :-( Hope that day 2 is great. Bx

Hi Julia, I love the colours of this card. I have this mask and recently made a get well card with it and made my own colour texture paint! Hope Ally Pally is going well. xx

ReplyDeleteLoving this card - as you may have realised I'm addicted to these masks and texture pastes. I recently did a blue version with the rope mask - but as I took it off it messed up on one side - so hey presto! I covered it with some silky crush ribbon and a sentiment. All is well in the craft room again. :)
