Hi Bloggers.
Today I'm offering up the Black & White demo card from the Ethel & Murray shows as a Give Away.
You can see all the details of how I made it in this post.
To be in with a chance of winning the card, please become a follower (if you're not already) and leave a comment. This time I would like you to tell me what your favourite stamp is - which stamp do you always keep going back to? If you're not a stamper, tell me your favourite CD Rom or topper character.
I'll draw a winner next Monday after my stint on the Spellbinders Pick of the Week Shows. Talking of which, be sure to pop back tomorrow when I'll share a sneak peak of one of the cards I've made for the shows.
Thanks for stopping by.
Julia.
Love this card ,It all depends on who i`m doing the card for is if I use a stamp of Cd the most stamp I have used id the Humprey stamp and the O `la stamp from Sam .Melanie
ReplyDeleteHi Julia, Well deciding which stamp is my favourite is hard, as I have lost count of how many I have, but I have 2 stamps that I use for wedding cards, one is called 'At the Altar' - and the other is by habico which is a modern stylized image of a couple. But I must say with your inspiration I am using my Ethel and Murray stamps more. Bx
ReplyDeleteHi Julia, not sure I have a favourite stamp but am a big fan of Sam's (Poole) stamps and the one I keep going back to for various projects at the moment is the Steampunk Dreams set, but I also love Creative Expressions Antique Dressforms and Vintage Lingerie...Wendy Vecchi stamps...just love stamping and use to suit my mood and the card/project really! ReplyDeleteHi Julia, This is a beautiful card, I would love to be in with a chance of owning it. Can't wait to see what you are bringing for the POW, I will be glued to C&C ha ha. My favourite stamps at the minute (when I'm not 'spellbindering'), are the Stempunk Dreams, Nautical Journey and China Fragments (which co-ordinate with nested teacups), I just love them. Roll on Friday yeah !!! Lots of love from Patricia xx
ReplyDeleteHi Julia
ReplyDeleteI have two fave stamps - one for christams which is a really detailed santa stamp [head and shoulders] - the maker has rubbed off but it has been around for years. The other one is a set of birthday candles with the message happy birthday from hero arts. These two always are a joy to use. Some others I like are some of the engraved type images by Anna Griffin. Better stop now or I'll end up with a huge list lol!!
Hi Julia,
ReplyDeleteJust love this cheeky card.
My favourite stamp is a swirl pattern which was a Creative Expression buy a couple of years ago.

I love this card. I think my fave stamp has to be the Father Christmas one by Rubber Stampede..the one with the sparkly beard. I have stamped him in every colour imagineable!

Morning Christine
ReplyDeleteI dont have a favourite stamp and probably the ones are use the most are my tiny sentiments cos they fit into one of the small circle dies so make great little bits for finishing off a card
I do a lot of cd crafting and the ones I use the most are Pink Petticoat for backing papers and probably Tatty ted and Forever Friends.
Most of my cards these days involve my spellbinders I just love them
Sue xx
mmm this is a hard one Julia it depends on what card i am doing at present it would have to be some snowmen from dimension stamping that i purchased a few years ago as im doing my christmas cards, but saying that the most generic stamp i use is the large swirl from creative expressions from a few years ago. xx hazel
ReplyDeleteMorning Julia, would love to have this card hanging on the wall as inspiration.
ReplyDeleteAt the moment the stamp im using all the time is by Tim Holtz called Tattered Sparrow, its a collage stamp. I love this stamp as its suitable to males and female makes, plus looks so different depending on the technique used, at the moment im also big into alcohol ink backgrounds.
Cant wait for the POTW on C+C.
Emma
Good morning Julia. Love this card..I don't usually like these themed stamps but using it on the background is just perfect. I love my Clarity Scottish themed stamps and Lavinia fairy ones as well as the Tim Holtz swirl ones. It really depends on what look I am going for but do use my Spellbinders now more and more. Looking forward to the POTW and watching your demonstrations for more ideas. Thanks for sharing your cards and ideas with us. Beverley x
ReplyDeleteHi julia love the way you've used, what most of us would have as main image, as a background my fav stamps at the moment are sam pooles nautical, dressforms and steampunk dreams and I've got my eye on the 2 new sets that she's just brought out!!lol I will be watching onfriday love lesley xx
ReplyDeleteHi Julia, Watched you do this one on C&C it was great demo. still
ReplyDeletelike it. I think my fav. stamp at the moment is vintage lingerie
love it for great at forty or great for fifty cards.
Nanyd xx
Hi Julia, this Ethel and Murray card was one of my favourites out of the ones you shared with us (it was how you created the background) and I would be well chuffed if I received it, keeping fingers crossed :). Unfortunately I'm not a good stamper, never seem to get the detail even or the ink from the edges get stamped too but I keep persevering, so do not have a favourite but do enjoy CD-Rom crafting and my favourites are Linda Ravenscroft's A Touch of Magic and Christine Haworth's Paintbox Poppets. Looking forward to Friday, Christine H xx
ReplyDeleteI like the use of the stamps as a background and it looks good it black and white.
ReplyDeleteI don't stamp very often but do like Ethel and Murray.
My favourite cd at the moment is Linda Ravenscrofts FairyLand, it's a beauty
xx Sandra
Hi Julia, this demonstrates the colour is no required, black and white are great together. I don't stam ver much, too lazy, too frightened, don't know which but I use cd's quite a lot. Don't have a particular favourite just mix and match them all..
ReplyDeleteWilma
Hi Julia - Love this card, I think it is because the sentiment is the focal part and Ethel & Murray are in the background. Something different I feel. Also like the monochrome look.
ReplyDeleteNow for the stamps - oh heck!! I have over 4000 (and counting) so this is difficult. However I must say I love Ethel and Murray for the fun factor and also Sam's (Poole) steampunk/vintage stamps but it does depend on the type of card and the person I am sending it to.
Hugs Sue P xx
Hi Julia, love monochrome on any card and Ethel & Murray too.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite stamp is a poppy stamp by PSX which I have had for many years (1996 is the date on the stamp) and use time and again, sadly quite often for sympathy cards.
Keep up the good work xx
This card really appeals to me - I love the way the sentiment is the focal point. I have lots of stamps that are my favourites but I have just used a little clear stamp of two birds from a Marion Emberson set which is so cute that it is definitely at the top of the list! xx
ReplyDeleteHello Julia
ReplyDeleteThis card is gorgeous, always watch you on c&c. The stamp I use the most , to my surprise, is a background stamp of script. It is so useful and I have had it a number of years
Hi julia I really like this card and the sentiment is fab. One of my fav stamps is a small heart with flourishes around it and a bird inside, not sure where I got it from though
ReplyDeleteCarol E X
Watched you make this card on C&C and love how you did the background. I must admit I wouldnt have thought of doing it that way and having the sentiment as the focal point. Have quite a few CE stamps but my fav stamp set at the moment is Sams Pooles nautical and steampunk ones. I also love Sheena Douglas Silly Moo and Oh Duck stamps.
