Keeping it simple

Hi Bloggers.

I'm staying local today and running my own workshop in Yardley Gobion just outside Milton Keynes. They're always fun but exhausting days! The next one is on November 14th and you can book online via my website here.

As the title suggests, this is quite a clean and simple card -

For the background, I ran a piece of Coconut White Card through the Grand Calibur with the Creative Expressions Let it Snow Embossing Folder.

I cut Sue Wilson's Christmas Tree Greetings out of Coconut White Card. I inked it with Clear Perfect Medium and embossed with Phill Martin Cosmic Shimmer Frosty Jade Embossing Powder. I added more Clear Perfect Medium, more powder and heat set again.

I cut the largest die in Sue's Herald Square Die Set out of Coconut White Card.

I assembled the card as shown adding some White Pearl Corners and piercing around the edges using my Tim Holtz Ruler, Precision Probe and Piercing Mat.

Sue Wilson is on Hochanda this evening with the first half of her Festive Dies in a One Day Special starting at 8pm and continuing tomorrow. That's on Freeview Channel 39, Sky 663 and in HD at www.hochanda.com.

Thanks for stopping by.

Julia.

  19. Hi Julia, wow! This card is beautiful. I love the "Keeping it Simple!" for those Christmas cards that are easy to do, yet look as if you have spent all day making one! Also good that you can do a multitude of them. I love all Sue's dies, especially the "Joy" tree. It just says everything. "Thank you Julia". Have a great day at your workshop! xx Love Karen xx
