Hi Bloggers.
I really enjoyed the shows yesterday - I hope you did too and maybe picked up some techniques.
Following on from yesterday's shows, this card features a mask amongst other things -
I thought it would be interesting to make a card completely out of Blue Dusk Card - yes, it is blue and not white so you're computer or phone aren't playing up!
I started by spreading some Phill Martin Cosmic Shimmer Frosty Sky Sparkle Texture Paste through the Wavy Mask asn put aside to dry (approx 2 hours).
I made a frame using Spellbinders 6 x 6 Matting Basics A Die Set.
I cut the reindeer from the Spellbinders Reindeer and Sleigh Die Set.
I made a flower using Spellbinders Layered Poinsettia Die Set and cut a flourish using the Spellbinders 5 x 7 Holly Frame.
I assembled the card as shown adding some Aqua Dazzlers and piercing around the edges using my Tim Holtz Ruler, Precision Probe and Piercing Mat.
John Lockwood is on Hochanda today at 10am, 2pm and 6pm with some fab new stamps from Sam Poole. Hope you can tune in as I know he has some fab demos planned.
Thanks for stopping by.
Julia.

Hello Julia, how unusual with just the blue, but a very effective card. Your shows were great, loads of tips and techniques and new masks. Time for me to get my masks out and have some fun. Have a great day. Bx
ReplyDeleteMorning Julia, I loved watching you yesterday, always great tips and techniques for us to try.
ReplyDeleteA lovely card, very unusual all in blue, but the texture paste breaks it up a bit, my favourite poinsettia dies, and the blue dazzlers look 'good enough to eat' haha.
Lots of love from Patricia xx
Good morning Julia today's card is gorgeous I love the colours and the stag is magnificent. It is good to know that Sam is designing again she is very talented. Your shows were brilliant I learnt so much. Have a great day today. Hugs Jackie

Hi Julia, oooo wow! Gorgeous card in the dusky blue! It's so fetching all over. Love the reindeer he looks so regal and along with the Frosty Sky in the wave mask he really stands out xx Beautiful poinsettia too.....gorgeous! "Thank you Julia" xx Love Karen xx
ReplyDeleteHello Julia.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea to make the full card with only one colour, it's lovely. Thanks for sharing.
I did enjoy your shows yesterday, you appeared to also. I have a note book by my chair and make notes and little drawings of interesting ideas and techniques. I also have little bits of paper showing various folds and bits. I have done this for several years, it's a great reference.
Best wishes
Good grief Julis, what a card! So different to anything else I have ever seen. Love it, love it, love it!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI rally enjoyed your Hochanda shows. I think we learn so much more by seeing techniques used rather than the making of a card. I shall now go back through them to make notes on techniques we haven't done with you in the workshops. Hint, hint, a mask technique workshop please!
Teresa
A "Blue Christmas" card. I am just trying to catch the repeats of your hochanda shows, as I was not able to see them live - so far I have caught the first show twice.
ReplyDeleteI really do love cards all of the same colour and this card is stunning.
