Season's Greetings

Hi Bloggers.

So, not a particularly Christmassy card today but it does show off a rather lovely sentiment from the new Justrite Grand Sentiments Rubber Stamp Set. We all have to make lots of cards at Christmas and I thought this one could be made in lots of colours and would be suitable for batch making. Obviously, a non Christmas sentiment would make it suitable for any occasion.

The background is simply a piece of Coconut White Card run through the Grand Calibur with the Spellbinders Holiday Magic M-Bossabilities Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the design and inked around the edges with Vintage Photo Distress Ink using Cut n Dry Foam.

I stamped the sentiment using Coffee Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Labels 22 and inked through the die with Vintage Photo. I cut a mat out using Spellbinders Decorative Labels 22, again inking though the die with Vintage Photo.

I tied a bow using 2 lengths of Champagne Silky Crush Ribbon and added a Fancy Pearl Embellishment.

I assembled the card as shown adding some White Pearls in the corners and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in White around the edges.

Thanks for stopping by.

Julia.

  16. Good morning Julia,
I really like today s card as it could be for anyone over any season, but especially those of different faiths who do not celebrate Christmas, but you still would like to include them in your card list. No one's faith or beliefs are compromised with this beautiful card. Other than that i like the soft colour that you have used in the blending and matching ribbon bow.
    Thank you
    Love and crafty hugs

I'm catching up having just watched the second potd show on ideal world.
This is a smashing card I love that it can be adapted to use all year round and would look great in both traditional and contemporary Christmas colours as you said ideal for batch making.

    Best wishes from Katie-Louise
