Hi Bloggers.
As promised, here's a sneak peak from the Pick of the Day starting on Tuesday evening.
For the background, I used a piece of Heat Resist Acetate (doesn't have to be heat resist for this particular technique). I popped some drops of Cool Peri, Aqua and Denim Alcohol Inks onto some felt on my Alcohol Ink Applicator Tool and just one squeeze of Snowcap Mixative. I applied ink all over my acetate, replenishing the inks when necessary. I glued this, inked side down, onto a piece of Cobalt Card. I put the glue where my topper and ribbon were to go and a spot in each corner. I wrapped some Navy Blue Silky Crush Ribbon around the centre and secured at the back.
The image is from the new Justrite Clear Stamp Set called Oh Holy Night. I stamped it using Jet Black Archival. I cut it out using Spellbinders Labels 22 and inked through the die with Faded Jeans Distress Ink. I cut a mat out using Spellbinders Decorative Labels 22 and again inked through the die with Faded Jeans.
I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set, again using Jet Black Archival. I cut it out using Justrite Vintage Labels Two Dies and inked through the die with Faded Jeans.
I tied a bow using 2 lengths of Navy Silky Crush and added a Fancy Pearl Embellishment.
I pressed 4 Art Deco Corners into Perfect Medium, sprinkled with Cosmic Shimmer Silver Shine Metallic Embossing Powder from the Festive Sparkle Set and heat set.
I assembled the card as shown adding some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Silver Lustre around the edges.
I'll be back with another sneak peak tomorrow.
Thanks for stopping by.
Julia.
