Hi Bloggers.
I have shows today on Create & Craft at 10am and 6pm (at the moment!). Hope you can join me.
I'm launching 6 new stamps in our Singles range today - I've been involved in choosing them so I hope you like them. They've all been included on some A5 stamp sheets in the past but they have all been re-sized, most come with a sentiment. As with all the stamps in the singles range, they are mounted and cut out for you ready to use. I'll be stocking all the new singles stamps in my Amazon Store as soon they become available to retailers.
There's no dies on the show so once again I've had lots of fun using lots of different dies.
Here's today's card - a technique that I've used lots recently but I love the way it turned out with the Peacock Feathers Mask and it includes a die cut from the Heartfelt Ornamental Add On die set.
So, for the background, I popped my tan mat onto my base plate. I dusted a piece of Coconut
White Card with my anti static bag and placed it dusted side up on my
tan mat. I inked up the Peacock Feathers Mask with Perfect Medium and placed it inked side down on top of the dusted
card. I added the pink embossing plate and ran it through the Grand
Calibur. The ink transferred to the debossed pattern. I added Cosmic Shimmer Lapis Pink Aurora Embossing Powder tapped off the excess and heat set.
I stamped the Vintage Dressform using Perfect Medium and embossed with Lapis Pink Aurora. I cut it out using Spellbinders Labels 4 and inked through the die with Spun Sugar Distress Ink.
I stamped the sentiment from the Heartfelt Creations Classic Message Pre Cut Set using Perfect Medium and embossed with Lapis Pink Aurora. I cut it out using Spellbinders Card Creator Distressed Edges and inked through the die with Spun Sugar.
I made 2 ribbon flowers using White Satin Edged Organza following the method on Sue's Ribbon Flower Tutorial (I cut the ribbon in half lengthways to make the 2 flowers). I cut one of the lattice ornaments from the Heartfelt Creations Ornamental Add On dies, nipping the pointy end off the die cut.
I assembled the card as shown adding some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Vintage Pink around the edges.
Thanks for stopping by.
Julia.

ReplyDeleteMorning Julia,
ReplyDeleteA very pretty girly card, love the background. Will be watching at 10am. It seems that C&C finish now at 6pm on Freeview ,as usual no explanation has been given such a pity that they don't keep the viewers informed. Enjoy your shows.

ReplyDeleteHi Julia
ReplyDeletemanaged to race home from the dentist and catch the last 30 mins of the show. I too am on freeview and don't like watching on the net in case of buffering. Wouldn't mind but I emailed them at weekend as to why they went off my guide at 6pm from this week and they implied it was my tv and said their hours weren't changing. . . . . . Well that wasn't true!
Love the mask on this card and will add it to my list for next weeks craft show.
Sorry I will miss your show later. x
Hi Julia, love the background on this card. Lol Lynne M x x x

ReplyDeleteHi Julia,
Love the colour and background of this card.
Enjoyed your show. X
Hi Julia this is a lovely feminine card and the colours are lovely, I must give the mask technique a go again as I did it a few times a few years ago when Sheena Douglas done it with the metal impressabilities when they were released!! I have taped your show this morning and hope to watch your later one,I feel really sorry for all the free view watchers it must be very annoying to have to miss a show you really want to see maybe if they get enough complaints they will reconsider. Love Lesley x
ReplyDeleteHi Julia,
ReplyDeleteI love this card, its amazing. I'm going to try this technique. Genius!
Found you from my mum, Beryl Treble.
I've seen your cards before and I think they're all great!
Keep up the good work!

Hi Julia, Love the colour and design ,very feminine. I too cant watch at 6pm, seems free view is off air again at 6pm, That was short lived, if I had to pay for sky, I couldn't afford to buy!!! Anyway have fun.
ReplyDeleteHi Julia
ReplyDeleteStunning card
Hi Julia, really lovely card today, would send this to a friend or a relative I like.
ReplyDeleteMissed 10am show, and 6pm couldn't tape as freeview wasn't showing any info just saying back at 6am. Thank goodness for sky internet.
X Ros
Loved the shows. Will you be stocking the sentiment stamps in your amazon store?
ReplyDeleteHi Julia
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed watching your shows today. I'm glad you mentioned to Dawn that the freeview viewers weren't able to watch your 6pm show ( I had to watch online and I missed bits as it kept buffering then jumping in time to the newest bit grr!).
Love the girlie pinks today of your card and the peacock feather mask is great as I embossed background. I do love the embossing powders you bring to the shows. I liked the flourish stamp but the manikin stamp that came with it would have a very limited number of times I could use it as only my mum sews and would appreciate it. Will you be stocking the flourish separately in your online amazon shop? I hope so. I love the ribbon flowers you have made they are really pretty. I love your way of using the cosmic shimmer coloured PVA to do glue dots around your cards. I'm not that good at doing them but I'm practicing.
Thank you for your inspiration and encouragement to make backgrounds from scratch.
Best wishes from Katie-Louise
