Shoes and Friends

Hi Bloggers.

I'm off to a Craft Day at Milton Keynes Cardiac Group today. It's an event that they hold twice a year and each time it seems to be bigger than the last. There's are lots of crafters there with things to do. I'm taking my Grand Calibur and we're going to be making boxes. Everyone is welcome so if you're in the area, do pop in. Fun starts at 10am.

Today's card is from the shows on Thursday.

For the background, I ran a piece of Coconut White Card through the Grand Calibur with the Couture Creations Bouquet Embossing Folder. The pattern is not a repeating one but I lined it up with the edge of the embossed area and ran it through a second time. I inked around the edges with Spun Sugar Distress Ink using Cut n Dry Foam. I cut a strip of pink card and ran it through the Couture Creations Ambrosia Embossing Folder.

I stamped the image from the Creative Expressions Sole Creations Stamp Set using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I coloured the image in using Cosmic Shimmer Matt Drawing Inks and then cut it out using Spellbinders Eyelet Squares. I inked through the die with Spun Sugar.

I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set again using Jet Black Archival and embossed with clear powder. For once, I cut it with a trimmer, edges it with Spun Sugar and matted it on to pink card.

I tied a bow using pink sheer dots ribbon. I cut one of the Spellbinders Ribbon Buckle Dies out of white card and inked through the die with Spun Sugar. I added a Dazzler in one of the new colours to it. I added a couple White Pearl Decorative Stick Pins to the back of my bow.

I assembled the card as shown adding some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Vintage Pink around the edges. I also added some White Self Adhesive Pearls in the top left-hand corner.

Thanks for stopping by.

Julia.
