One Shoe

Hi Bloggers.

I'm off to Kettering Conference Centre tomorrow morning for a couple of days. It's the first time the Big Stamping and Scrapbooking Show has been held in the Midlands. I'm really looking forward to it. All the details are here. I'm running a couple of workshops each day and I'll also be demonstrating on the Creative Expressions Stand. Hope some of you can come along and say hello.

Today's card is another shoe card.

For the background, I randomly stamped the heart from the Creative Expressions Beaded Elements Stamp Set (more stock coming soon) using Jet Black Archival. I dried it with my heat tool and then ran it through the Grand Calibur with the Couture Creations Trellis Embossing Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the pattern (I was not worried if the pattern didn't match exactly as my topper would cover most of the join).

I stamped the image from the Creative Expressions Sole Creations Stamp Set (more stock coming soon) using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I coloured it in using Cosmic Shimmer Matt Drawing Inks and then cut it out using Spellbinders Matting Basics A. I cut the largest of the Spellbinders Polka Dots out of black card and popped the shoe topper on top.

I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set again using Jet Black Archival and embossed with clear powder. I matted it on to some black card.

I made a bow using 2 lengths of Lipstick Red and 2 lengths of Black American Seam Binding and added a large circle dazzler to the centre.

I assembled the card as shown adding some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in White around the edges.

Thanks for stopping by.

Julia.

  28. HI Julia

It was this card that made my buy the stamps!!!! A friend who is a shoe-aholic as a big birthday coming in April - this is the perfect card, including the colours. I hope I do it justice when I make it. Thanks as ever for the inspiration and the fun you give us when you appear on Create and Craft.

    Christine
