Hi Bloggers.
Thank you for all your emails and comments yesterday. I'm glad you enjoyed the shows. Unfortunately, the printers were broken for the 6pm show so we didn't get given any emails to read out.
Today's blog post is a quick and easy card made using Yasmin from the Fashionista Best Friends Stamp Set.
Easy peasy background on this one. I usually go for white or milk card and add some distress ink to it. However, embossing folders are great to use with coloured card and here I've used burgundy card with the Couture Creations Chiaro Embossing Folder.
I stamped Yasmin using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I coloured her in using Cosmic Shimmer Matt Drawing Inks. I cut her out using Spellbinders Labels Four Small. I cut a mat out of black card using Labels Four.
I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set again using Jet Black Archival and embossed with clear powder. I cut it out using a smaller Labels Four Small and a mat out of black card using a Labels Four.
I ran a piece of 6mm Hi Tack Tape down the right-hand side of the background and ruffled some black American Seam Binding down it. I tied a messy bow using 3 lengths of the seam binding and added a Dazzler in one of the new colours to it. I also added a couple of Black Decorative Stick Pins.
I assembled the card as shown adding a couple of 8mm Black Pearls to 2 of the corners and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in White around the edges.
Thanks for stopping by.
Julia.
