Live for Today

Hi Bloggers.

I've used John Lockwood's idea for the weaving on today's card -

For the background, I ran a piece of Milk Card through the Grand Calibur with the Creative Expressions Fine Finials Embossing Folder.

For the weaving, I cut Sue Wilson's Classic Weaving Die out of Milk Card and the Striped Weaving Die out of Sky Blue Card. I cut the Striped Die Cut down into strips and wove it through the Classic Die Cut.

I dusted a piece of Sky Blue Card with my Anti Static Bag and popped it on top of my tan mat, on my pink embossing plate. I inked the large deboss die from Sue's Lavish Accented Design Noble Die Set with Perfect Medium, placed it face down onto the dusted card, added my base plate and ran it through the Grand Calibur. The ink transferred to the pattern on the die. I added Ivory Cosmic Shimmer Embossing Powder and heat set. I added the 2 cutting dies around the frame and ran through the Grand Calibur. I cut the largest die from Sue's Ornate Pierced Design Noble Die Set out of Milk Card and glued the Sky Blue frame to it using Cosmic Shimmer Dries Clear Glue. I reset the die I used for the inside of the frame and ran through the Grand Calibur to cut through the Milk Card.

I stamped the sentiment from John's Fern Frames Elements Stamp Set onto Sky Blue Card using Perfect Medium and embossed with Ivory Powder. I cut it out using Sue's Pierced Flags Die Set. I tied a bow using 2 lengths of Antique White Satin Ribbon and added a flower made from Felt using Sue's Classic Foldover Flowers Die Set (see my video here).

I assembled the card as shown adding some Cream Pearl Corners and piercing around the edges.

Thanks for stopping by.

Julia.
