Welcome to the Creative Expressions June 2014 Blog Hop! Hopefully you got here from the Creative Expressions blog, but if you didn't that's fine as my blog is the first in the hop.
The four new large Frame stamps from Creative Expressions have been
designed with co-ordinating mini frames inside, which can be used
separately or as a whole and also swapped with other frame designs in
the range. There are also an additional four mini frame designs, plus
sentiment sets which have been designed to fit inside the various
frames.
One randomly selected person commenting on this blog post before the closing date will win a fabulous prize of some of the new stamp designs.
Here's my card -
For the background, I ran a piece of Coconut White Card through the Grand Calibur with the Couture Creations Weaved Embossing Folder. I ran it though a second time to extend the design and inked around the edges with Salmon Adirondack Dye Ink.
I popped the Squared Mask onto a piece of Coconut White Card and secured it with some Removeable Tape. I mixed some Warm Gold and Pink Blush Cosmic Shimmer Sparkle Texture Paste together on my Craft Sheet and spread it through the mask. I put aside to dry. Once dry, I cut it into 3 sections and mounted it onto some peach card.
I stamped the sentiment from the All Occasions Sentiments Stamp Set using Jet Black Archival and added Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder (I did not heat set at this point). I stamped one of the Floral Mini Frames around the sentiment, again using Jet Black Archival, added Clear Embossing Powder and heat set the lot. I coloured in using Cosmic Shimmer Watercolour Paints. I used Pastel Lemon and Pastel Orange from the Pastels Set and Golden Malachite from the Garden Tones Set. I cut it out using Spellbinders Captivating Squares and inked through the die with Salmon Ink.
I cut a Spellbinders Ornate Square out of peach card and inked through the die with Salmon Ink.
I cut a couple of leaves using Sue's Faux Quilled Leaves out of peach card. I made a couple of flowers (yes, again!) out of Crochet Ribbon following Sue's Tutorial.
I assembled the card as shown adding soem White Pearls and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Cosmic Pearl around the edges.
