Hi Bloggers.
Just a reminder that the special launch offer of 10% off everything on my Website ends this evening at midnight.
Today's card features a bunch of Sue Wilson's new dies and a little twist with the Striped Weaving Die.
The background is a piece of Coconut White Card run through the Grand Calibur with the Creative Expressions Bed of Roses Embossing Folder.
I cut the Canadian Border from the Border, Corner & Tag Set twice out of Peach Card. I cut a length of the Double Pearl Strips in White in half and added them down the edge of the borders.
I cut the frame out of Peach and Coconut White Card using Sue's Ornate Pierced Design Noble Die Set. For the weaving. I cut the Striped Weaving Die out of Coconut White Card twice and Peach Card twice. I glued the 2 Coconut White pieces together, just at the end, offsetting them to fill in the gaps. I did the same with the 2 Peach pieces. I cut the Peach set down into sections - 3 strips wide. On the Coconut White one, I left one side intact and on the other side, I cut into sections, again 3 strips wide. Then I wove the Peach sections in and out of the White sections as usual. You could do this with 2's or 4's or a mix. I popped the frame on top and trimmed off the excess.
I stamped the sentiment from John Lockwood's Daisy Chain Elements Stamp Set using Coffee Archival. I cut it out using Sue's Pierced Flags and cut a larger die out of Peach Card.
I made a couple flower out of felt using the largest die in Sue's Classic Foldover Flowers Die Set (2 flowers achieved by cutting felt into 2 pieces approx 1/3 and 2/3 of the length). I cut Sue's Maidenhair Fern Die Set out of Peach Card.
I made a couple of Decorative Stick Pins using Creative Expressions Stick Pin Elements and Glossy Accents.

Good morning Julia, a beautiful card today. Love the way you use the weaving dies in so many different combinations. Think the new flower die will make the process of making felt flowers so much easier than cutting by hand. Thanks so much for sharing and have a wonderful day.

Hi Julia. Love this card, Didn't think I needed Sue's Pierced Flag die or her new Foldover Flowers, but guess what? SueL x
ReplyDeleteHi Julia wow this card is wonderful. I just love the flowers. I could kick myself now I actually almost bought the die for it on Saturday but was scared I couldn't make the flower it looked to difficult. I still think I need a demo to get the hang of it.

Hi Julia
ReplyDeleteLove the card. I've bought the Canadian border and can't wait to have a play. I love the peach card, it's a shame it's been discontinued. Luckily I bought a pack from the craft shop in Lyndhurst while I was down in Bournemouth.
The Peach Card hasn't been discontinued - not sure who told you that. I see that I am out of stock at the moment but I have ordered some more.
