Hi Bloggers.
I'm demoing Sue Wilson's dies on the Craft World Stand (B22) at the Hobbycrafts Show at the NEC today. Do pop by and say hello if you're visiting.
I'll have this card with me today -
I wondered what some of the papers from the Couture Creations Vintage Rose 6 x 6 Paper Pad would look like woven with Sue's Classic Weaving Die. So, I selected a pinky one and a greeny one and this is the result.
I cut Sue's Ornate Pierced Squares Noble Dies out of Coconut White Card and Blush Card.
I cut the outside die from Sue's Love Die Set out of Coconut White Card and both the dies together out of Blush Card.
I cut the flourishes from Sue's Splendid Swirls Die Set out of Coconut White Card and a couple of twirly bits from the same die set out of Blush Card. I made a flower out of more paper from the pad using Sue's Cornflower Die Set and added a Small Circle Dazzler.
I assembled the card as shown adding some 8mm White Pearls to the corners.
Thanks for stopping by.
Julia.

ReplyDeleteHi Julia
ReplyDeleteOh you turned back the clock for me with this with the papers being weaved together. One of the first 'techniques' I did, great for using those papers in a pack that you're not keen on! Sue's die making it a lot easier! The dies all look great together and I love the dazzlers in the flowers.
Hope you've had fun at the NEC

Lovely card. Glad I had the chance to see it in the flesh as it were. Thanks for the top tip re the piercing ruler. I thoroughly enjoyed the day spent far too much but that was the plan. The kids didn't fuss too much either.
