New Home

Hi Bloggers.

Here's today's card -

For the background, I inked through the Wired Mask onto Milk Card using Vintage Photo Distress Ink. I then inked around the edges of the card.

I cut the main die in the Spellbinders Cozy Cottage Die Set out of Milk Card and inked through the die with Vintage Photo.

I cut the little thatch dies from the same die set several times out of Tan Card and added them to the roof using Cosmic Shimmer Dries Clear Glue.

I cut the largest die in the Spellbinders Oval Floral die set out of Tan Card and at the emboss stage I added the next smallest die to give me the faux piercing look.

I cut 'New Home' out of Tan Card using Spellbinders Font One Upper and Lower Case die sets.

Thanks for stopping by.

 Julia.

  16. Lovely cute card The cottage is very pretty but in my "small" world of crafting I wouldn't have much call for thatched cottages Does it come with "different" style rooves/roofs? What's the plural of roof!? Font dies are on my wish list!

  18. Hi Julia

What a cute little cottage! I am very fussy with dies or stamps that are of objects. I like them to look like the real thing as after all, I don't make cards for the under 5s as a general rule! This die cut looks so much better than the representation of the die cut that Is on the package and on websites. A lovely card for a very special occasion

    Hugs,

Another beautiful card & love the colour you have chosen which gives it the real countryside 'Rural' feel......
Love the Spellbinders Oval Floral die set, so pretty & like the way you have used the smaller inner die for the faux piercing effect.....
