Flowers are the Music of Life

Hi Bloggers.

Thanks for all your kind wishes re Kathryn over the last couple of days. We had a lovely but tiring day getting her moved in on Saturday. We left her unpacking loads of boxes on Saturday night. I can tell you, I hope she brings back less that we took there when she moves out next June!

I'm off to spend to some time with my dear friend Sue Wilson so that will keep me occupied for today. We're prepping for some Spellbinders Shows this week and packing for Ally Pally at the weekend.

Here's today's card with a bit of metal on it.

The background was made by running some Milk Card through the Grand Calibur with the Spellbinders Ornamental Iron Embossing Folder. I edged it with Vintage Photo Distress Ink using Cut n Dry Foam.

I cut a piece of Aluminium Foil in half. Using my Alcohol Ink Applicator Tool I added some Butterscotch, Terracotta and Sunshine Yellow Alcohol Ink. When dry I ran it through the Grand Calibur with the Floral Vines Mask. I sanded it a little to reveal the Aluminium core.

I cut a Spelbinders Fancy Postage Edge out of brown card. I stamped the sentiment from the Creative Expressions Button Florals Stamp Set using Coffee Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I cut it our using the Spellbinders Fancy Ribbon Threader Die Set. I threaded some American Seam Binding in London Tan through the slots in the Ribbon Threader Die Cut. I attached the die cut to the Fancy Postage Edge die cut using 3d foam pads and wrapped the ribbon around the back.

I assembled the card as shown adding some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Choco Brown.

Just a heads up - I've listed loads of Wood Mounted Stamps on eBay starting at 99p each (click on the link in the right-hand sidebar to take you there).

Thanks for stopping by.

Best Wishes

Hi Bloggers.

This card was set to be a demo last Sunday but we ran out of time.

The background is simply a piece of handmade paper. I cut the largest of the Spellbinders Fancy Ribbon Threaders out of a pale yellow card. At the emboss stage I added the Floral Lace Mask. I inked through the die with Mustard Seed Distress Ink using Cut n Dry Foam.

I cut a basket from Kraft Core using the Spellbinders Homespun die set. I sanded it to reveal the core. I cut some flowers out of white card using the same die set and inked through the die with Mustard Seed Distress Ink. I cut some little leaves (again using a Homespun die) out of felt that I bought from Sam Poole here. I popped the Homespun die cuts onto the Fancy Ribbon Treader die cut as shown.

I threaded some American Seam Binding in Blue White through the slots in the Fancy Ribbon Threaded Die cut as shown, attached the die cut to the handmade paper background using 3d foam pads and secured the excess ribbon at the back of the background paper. I tied a bow using 3 lengths of the ribbon, spritzed it with water and dried it with my heat tool scrunching it as I went. I threaded some Baker's Twine from the Primary Set through a cream button and tied a bow. I glued this to the centre of my bow using Cosmic Shimmer Dries Clear Glue.

I masked off the 'to you' on the sentiment from the Creative Expressions Button Florals Stamp Set, stamped it using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I cut it out using a small die from the Fancy Postage Edge die set and inked through the die with Mustard Seed. I added a couple of 5mm White Self Adhesive Pearls where the holes in the tag were.

I assembled the card as shown adding some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in White around the edges.

Thanks for stopping by.

Off to University

Hi Bloggers.

Today we're taking Kathryn off to move into her flat at Portsmouth University. I'm bound to cry when we leave her however hard I try not to. I shall miss her loads.

This is a scrapbook page I made for the Spellbinders shows last Sunday. The photo was taken while we were on holiday in Cyprus in February. I've used it before in another page which you can see here.

For the background, I ran a piece of Foundations Floral Dream Paper through the Grand Calibur with the Spellbinders Ornamental Iron M-Bossabilities Folder (it really is one of my favourites). I ran it through a second time to extend the pattern. I inked all around the edges with Dusty Concord Distress Ink using Cut n Dry Foam.

I cut the photo of Kathryn out using Matting Basics B. I cut the largest of the Fancy Postage Edge dies out of the Floral Dream Paper, this time with the dotty side face up. I inked around the edges after I had removed it from the die. I threaded some black & white Baker's Twine from the Primary Set through the holes in the die cut and tied a bow in the top left-hand corner.

I cut the middle size of the Angle Approach Cut, Fold & Tuck die set out of black card and the smallest one out of the Floral Dream paper. I folded and tucked, edged the smallest with Dusty Concord and layered them on top of each other adding a 5mm Black Pearl in the centre.

I stamped the sentiment from the Creative Expressions Heartfelt Sentiments Stamp Set using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I cut it out using one of the Fancy Postage Edge dies and inked through the die with Dusty Concord.

I assembled the page as shown adding a black pearly swirly and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Purple Violet.

You could easily swap the photo for an image to make an 8 x 8 card with this layout instead of a scrapbook page.

Thanks for stopping by.

Metal now in stock and re-stocks

Hi Bloggers.

Copper Squares
Brass Squares
Black Squares

I have also got some of the Couture Creations Tied Together Embossing Folders. Couture Creations Folders are produced as limited availability but Creative Expressions have persuaded the company to do another run of this very popular folder - once it's gone, it's gone!

As requested, I have some of the Spellbinders 2012 Holiday Tree. I also have Expandable Patterns - Butterfly Magic and have re-stocked Expandable Patterns - Botanical Swirls.

Decorative Stick Pins are now back in stock in all 4 colours here.

The following stamp sets are now back in stock -

Classic Cars
Dream Cars
Christmas Bauble
Let it Snow
Floral Silhouette

Finally, I have more stock of Milk Card.

Don't forget to have a look at my bargains in my eBay Store.

All for now.

Wishing You Happiness

Hi Bloggers.

Here's another of my fave cards from the shows last Sunday. I really do like the Spellbinders Card Creator dies - so easy to make lovely cards with.

For the background, I ran the Spellbinders Ornamental Iron M-Bossabilities Folder through the Grand Calibur with some Milk Card. I ran it through a second time to extend the pattern and then inked around the edges with Dried Marigold Distress Ink using Cut n Dry Foam.

I have lots and lots of packs of handmade paper and so I decided to use some orangey/autumny colours up on this card. I cut the largest of the Polka Dots and the Fancy Postage edge dies. I stamped the sentiment from the Creative Expressions Button Florals Stamp Set using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I cut it out using one of the Fancy Postage Edge dies and inked through it with Dried Marigold.

I made 2 flowers out of the handmade paper using the technique in Sue's Tutorial here. I cut some leaves out of some autumn shades of handmade paper using the Spellbinders Little Leaf Sets die set.

I assembled the card as shown adding some Self Adhesive Pearls in 8mm Cream and 5mm Cream in the corners of the background and the large Fancy Postage Edge die cut. I also added some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Golden Pearl around the edges.

Thanks for stopping by.

Thank You

Hi Bloggers.

Another Thank You card! This was one of the demos from Sunday. It features the Spellbinders Floral Burst Cut, Fold & Tuck die set which I think is one of the prettiest die sets of that type.

For the background, I popped a piece of Coconut White Card through the Grand Calibur with the Floral Lace Mask using the standard embossing sandwich. I inked around the edges with Faded Jeans Distress Ink using Cut n Dry Foam.

I cut the largest of the Floral Burst dies out of Foundations Floral Dream Paper and inked through the die with Faded Jeans. I folded and tucked all the way round. I stamped my sentiment from the Creative Expressions Kind Thoughts Stamp Set using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I cut it out using one of the dies in the Moroccan Motifs die set and inked through the die with Faded Jeans. Once I had removed it from the die I inked around the edges. I cut another motif out using the same die and inked around the edges once I had removed it from the die. I layered the sentiment die cut on top of the plain one turning it slightly to offset the pattern.

I made 3 flowers - 1 from felt using the border from the Moroccan Accents die set, 1 from American Seam Binding in Sky Blue and 1 from Blue Sheer Dots Ribbon which I cut in half length-ways. I made them all using the technique described in Sue's Ribbon Flower Tutorial. I cut all the leaves out using the Little Leaf Sets. I inked through the dies with Faded Jeans. I just used the largest leaf from each set for this project.

I cut 2 corners out of the Floral Dream Foundations Paper and inked through the dies with Faded Jeans.

I assembled the card as shown adding some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in White around the edges.

For You

Hi Bloggers.

Thanks for all your comments about Sunday's shows. They really were fun especially the Toolshed with Dean - he's so lovely.

A few of you asked about the metal sheets yesterday and wanted to know if would be getting them in my Amazon Store. Well, the packs that were on the show are currently out of stock at CE HQ but I have ordered some of the 4" x 4" packs which have 8 sheets in them - they should be here later this week. I have also ordered some of the 2012 Spellbinders Holiday Tree plus more of the Christmas Bauble, Floral Silhouette, Dream Cars and Classic Cars stamp sets. I will let you know when they're in my store

Here's a really simple, quick and easy card from Sunday's shows.

I wanted a really clean monochrome look to this card so there's no inking through the dies or edging the background with Distress Ink.

So, the background is simply a piece of Coconut White Card through the Grand Calibur with the Ornamental Iron M-Bossabilities Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the pattern. I cut a border out of black card using the Moroccan Accents die set and glued it down the right-hand side. I ran a piece of 6mm Super Sticky Tape down alongside the border and ruffled some American Seam Binding in Blue White down it.

I stamped the image from the Creative Expressions Floral Silhouette Stamp Set using Jet Black Archival. I did not emboss it. I cut it out using Spellbinders Matting Basics A. I cut out the largest of the Fancy Postage Edge dies out of black card.

I stamped the sentiment from the Creative Expressions Kind Thoughts Stamp Set using Jet Black Archival - again, I did not emboss it. I cut it out using a die from the Moroccan Accents die set. I cut another of the same die out of black card. I trimmed off the fancy parts and used them as a shadow behind the sentiment off-setting them slightly.

I assembled the card as shown adding some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Black Pearl around the edges.

Thanks for stopping by.

Thanks So Much

Hi Bloggers.

An apt sentiment for my post today as I would really like to thank you for all you emails into the shows yesterday and your kind comments here on the blog - it is much appreciated.

This card was one of the demos from yesterday and it's one of my favourite cards.

For the background, I used a piece of Coconut White Card which I popped inside the Spellbinders Paisley M-Bossabilities Folder with a little hanging over the edge as I did not want to emboss all of it. I ran it through the Grand Calibur and then inked around the edges with Dried Marigold Distress Ink using Cut n Dry Foam. I cut a border out of peach card using the Moroccan Accents border die and added it to the plain section of my background. I ran a piece of 6mm Super Sticky Tape along the edge of the border and ruffled some American Seam Binding in Blue White along it.

I cut a Spellbinders Fancy Postage Edge out of peach card. At the emboss stage I added the Floral Vines Mask. I inked through the die with Dried Marigold. I stamped the sentiment from the Creative Expressions Heartfelt Sentiments Stamp Set using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Matting Basics A and inked through the die with Dried Marigold. I cut a frame out using Spellbinders Fancy Weave and glued it on top of the sentiment panel using Cosmic Shimmer Dries Clear Glue.

I cut the smallest and the middle size of the Spellbinders Cut Fold & Tuck Roundabout dies out of Foundations Dot & Dash Paper. For the middle size one I had the stripey side face up and for the smallest size one I had the dots side up. I inked around the edges a bit with Dried Marigold after I had removed the paper from the dies. I folded and tucked and mounted the smaller one on top of the larger one and added an 8mm White Pearl.

I assembled the card as shown adding a Creative Expressions Pearl Swirl and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in White.

Thanks for stopping by.

Some People

Hi Bloggers.

This is one of the cards I'm planning to demo on one of the shows today. It's bit different, definitely not girly and uses Aluminium Metal and Alcohol Inks which are on the shows.

So, for the background I used a piece of the Aluminium Metal. I applied a few drops of Butterscotch, Pesto and Terracotta Alcohol Inks to my Alcohol Ink Applicator Tool and dabbed it all over the metal. Once dry (it dries very quickly) I placed it face down onto my GC rubber mat which was already on my base plate. I popped the Leaves Mask on top and then my pink plate and then ran it through the Grand Calibur. I sanded it a little to reveal the Aluminium colour.

I stamped the sentiment from the Creative Expressions Kind Thoughts Stamp Set using Coffee Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Matting Basics B. I did not bother to emboss it as it was going to go behind the frame. I cut the frame out using Matting Basics B again. I used the 2 dies either side of the one I used to cut the sentiment out. At the emboss stage I added the Floral Vines Mask.

I tied a bow using 3 lengths of American Seam Binding in London Tan. I threaded some Baker's Twine from the Earthtones Set through a brown button, tied a bow and added it to my ribbon bow. The Earthtones set is not on the show so I'll be using a Brown Zipper Rose instead of the button. I added a couple of Creative Expressions Small Metal Leaves just under the ribbon bow.

I assembled the card as shown adding some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Choco Brown.

Hope you can join me today at 12 noon for 2 hours in the Toolshed with Dean and then 1 hour with Lottie at 5pm.

On a final note, if Lesley is reading this post, please email me as I have the stamp sets you wanted.

Thanks for stopping by.

You are so Kind

Hi Bloggers.

Today I'm sharing one of the sample cards I made for tomorrow's shows. However, it does include a die that isn't on the shows as it sold out from the repeats of Christine's shows.

For the background, I placed the Butterflies Mask onto some Coconut White Card. I spritzed with some Cosmic Shimmer Vintage Mister in Egyptian Blue. It splodged a bit (just need to take the top off and run some water through to release mica powder that has bunged spray up) but I like a few splodges. I dried it with my heat tool and then inked through the Floral Vines Mask randomly with Faded Jeans Distress Ink. I randomly stamped a flower from the Creative Expressions Button Florals Stamp Set and a butterfly from the Creative Expressions Floral Silhouette Stamp Set using Faded Jeans.

I cut a Spellbinders Card Creator Fancy Postage Edge out of blue card. I stamped my sentiment from the Creative Expressions Kind Thoughts Stamp Set using Cobalt Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I cut it out using the Spellbinders Card Creator Polka Dots (not on the show). I cut a frame out of Foundations Blue Dot and Dash Paper using Spellbinders Jewel Framed Sentiments - I cut the hanging loop bit off it. I cut a couple of little flowers using the Homespun die set and inked through the die with Faded Jeans. I assembled this batch of die cuts as shown.

I made a flower out of the blue Dot and Dash Paper using the six petal blank flower stamp on the Button Florals Stamp Set. Sue has done a tutorial on the Creative Expressions website on how to make these here. I tied a bow using some blue Sheer Dots Ribbon and added the flower to it.

I pressed a couple of Creative Expressions Art Deco Corners into a Perfect Medium Ink Pad and then sprinkled some Cosmic Shimmer Silver Shine Metallic Embossing Powder over. I shook off the excess and heat set.

I assembled the card as shown adding some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Teal Sky around the edges.

We had a great day at Thorpe Park yesterday. Here's a pic from Loggers Leap which is one of my fave rides.

My shows are confirmed for tomorrow on the Tool Shed at 12noon with Dean and at 5pm with Lottie.

Thanks for stopping by.

Really Quick Christmas Card

Hi Bloggers.

How's this for a quick card?

I dusted a piece of Milk Card with my anti-static bag. I inked all over the Christmas Trees mask with Perfect Medium and popped it on top of my card with the ink face down. I then ran it through the Grand Calibur with the normal embossing sandwich. The ink transferred to the debossed pattern. I sprinkled Cosmic Shimmer Golden Green Sparkle Embossing Powder, shook off any excess and then heat set.

I pieced together my sentiment from the Create A Scene Text stamp set onto my acrylic block and stamped it onto a piece of Milk Card using Olive Green Archival. I embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Large Labels and inked through the die with Pine Needles Distress Ink using Cut n Dry Foam. I mounted it onto a Fleur de Lys Rectangle cut from green card.

I finished the card off with some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Olympic Gold.

I'm off to Thorpe Park today with Kathryn and her boyfriend on a pre-Uni fun day - wish me luck!

I'll be back tomorrow with a sneak peak from Sunday's shows.

Thanks for stopping by.

Julia.

Faux Batik

Hi Bloggers.

This as a demo card from the shows last Friday. I totally forgot a step in the demo and ended up just showing a resist technique - still effective though. I always seem to forget something!

For the background panels, I dusted a piece of Coconut White Card with my anti static bag. I stamped the holly image from the Creative Expressions Let it Snow Stamp Set using Perfect Medium and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. Then (this is the bit I forgot) I folded the piece several times, turned it over and folded it in different places. I spritzed it with some water to loosen the fibres. I picked up some Stormy Sky Distress Ink onto my brayer and ran it diagonally across the middle of my card. I cleaned the brayer and picked up some Pine Needles Distress Ink. I ran this over the remaining white areas of my background. I put it aside to dry. Once dry, I cut it into 4 and mounted each piece onto Coconut White card.

I stamped the snowman image from the same stamp set using Perfect Medium and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Black Sparkle Embossing Powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Labels Twenty-Eight and inked through the die with Stormy Sky Distress Ink.

I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set using Jet Black Archival and embossed with clear powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Ribbon Banners and inked through the die with Stormy Sky.

I pressed 4 of the Creative Expressions Art Deco Metal Corners into Perfect Medium, sprinkled them with Cosmic Shimmer Silver Shine Metallic Embossing Powder and heat set. I added 1 to each corner using Cosmic Shimmer Dries Clear Glue.

I assembled the card as shown adding some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlecent PVA in Silver Lustre around the edges.

Thanks for stopping by.

Monochrome Bauble

Hi Bloggers.

Back to monochrome again today. I always come back to this colour scheme - one of my favourites.

For the background, I dusted a piece of milk card with my anti-static bag. I inked all over the Holly Mask with Perfect Medium, popped it onto my milk card and ran it through the Grand Calibur. The ink transferred to the debossed pattern in the card. I sprinkled some Cosmic Shimmer Black Sparkle Embossing Powder over and heat set.

I stamped the bauble from the Creative Expressions Christmas Bauble Stamp Set using Perfect Medium. I sprinkled some Cosmic Shimmer True White Embossing Powder over it and heat set. I cut it out using the Spellbinders 2011 Heirloom Ornament die set. I threaded an Idea-ology Bauble onto some Baker's Twine from the Primary Set, tied a bow and added it to my bauble. I looped some of the twine around the back of the card and then added the bauble to the background using 3d foam pads.

I put some 8mm and 5mm Cream Pearls in the corners.

I finished the card off with some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Black Pearl around the edges.

Thanks for stopping by.

New Spellbinders Dies Now in stock

Hi Bloggers.

Just a quick post to let you know that I have some of the new Summer Release Spellbinders now in stock in my Amazon Store here.

The Iridescent Sheer Ribbon Pack that I put on eBay has proved popular and I have just one pack left in the current set here.

I have popped some packs of mixed Vintage Ribbon on eBay here - 40 metres for £7.99 plus £2.95 P&P. Here's a pick of the colours -

All for now.

Happy Christmas Son

Hi Bloggers.

Here's today's card.

The backing paper is from the Polka Doodles Here Comes Christmas CD. I dusted it with my anti-static bag and put it aside. I cut 2 sizes from the Spellbinders Labels Twenty-Eight die set. I dusted them both with my anti-static bag. I then placed them where I wanted them on the backing paper using re-positionable tape. I stamped the reindeer from the Creative Expressions Let it Snow Stamp Set using Perfect Medium in the centre of the smaller Labels Twenty Eight die cut. I then stamped another reindeer coming out of the top of the die cuts and another running up into the die cuts. I sprinkled some Cosmic Shimmer Silver Shine Metallic Embossing Powder over the stamped images, removed the temporary adhesive and heat set the powder. I inked around the edges of the die cuts with Aged Mahogany Distress Ink using Cut n Dry Foam.

I actually split the 'Happy Christmas to all' stamp from the set so that I just had the 'Happy Christmas'. I placed this on my acrylic block with the 'SON' stamp from the Creative Expressions Create A Scene Text Stamp Set. I stamped the text using Perfect Medium and embossed with the Silver Shine Metallic Powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Fancy Tags Two. I inked through the die with Aged Mahogany and added a couple of Faux Screw Brads in Antique Silver.

I assembled the card as shown. I added a bow made with 2 lengths of Two Tone Ribbon in Dark Red. I finished the card off with some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Silver Lustre around the edges.

Thanks for stopping by.

Mica Bauble

Hi Bloggers.

Today's card is a demo card from Friday and it uses Mica Powder in various ways.

It's quite hard to see the background on this card but to create it I popped the Snowflakes Mask onto some cobalt card and misted it with some Pale Gold Mica Powder (from the Metallics Mica Pigment Spray Set) mixed with a little water in the mister bottle that comes in the set. I removed the mask and dried it with a heat tool (you can leave it to dry naturally but I'm impatient!).

I cut 2 sizes from the Spellbinders 2010 Heirloom Ornament die set. I dusted the smaller one with my anti-static bag and then stamped the bauble from the Creative Expressions Christmas Baubles Stamp Set using Perfect Medium. I dusted it with the copper mica powder from the metallics set. I removed the excess powder with a dry wet wipe (yes I know it sounds strange!). I then spritzed it with some water and dried it with my heat tool to fix the powder.

I repeated the process with the sentiment from the Creative Expressions Let It Snow Stamp Set and a die cut from the Spellbinders Ribbon Banners Set.

I mixed a little copper mica powder with some Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I pressed the Perfect Medium Ink Pad onto the edges of the larger bauble die cut and then sprinkled some of the copper mica embossing powder over it. I heat set it. I added some more ink and powder where I wasn't happy with the coverage and heat set again. I tied a bow with the Violet Bronze Sheer Iridescent Ribbon and added it to my bauble.

I pressed a couple of Creative Expressions Art Deco Metal Corners into the Perfect Medium Ink Pad. I sprinkled some of the copper mica embossing powder over them, shook off the excess and then heated them. This changed the colour of the corners to match my project.

I finished the card with some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Olympic Gold.

Thanks for stopping by.

Sheer Iridescent Ribbon on eBay

Hi Bloggers.

I've just loaded the Sheer Iridescent Ribbon from Friday's show onto eBay here.

Here's a pic of the pack

The pack is slightly different to the one on Create & Craft as I don't have Raspberry Lime but I have added Light Blue and Blue Lilac. So, there are 7 colours in the pack, 3 metres of each making a total of 21 metres for £8.99 plus £1.35 P&P.

All for now.

Woven Ribbon Border

Hi Bloggers.

As promised, today I'm sharing a card that has a ribbon border using the same technique as with the Ribbon Wreath yesterday. Obviously, you need less ribbon for this. I have used the May Arts Sheer Iridescent Ribbon that flew out on the first show on Friday.

I've photographed this one at at couple of angles to try and show you the embossed background.

For the background, I dusted a piece of black card with my anti-static bag. I then stamped one of the flourishes from the Creative Expressions Beaded Elements Stamp Set using Perfect Medium. I added some Cosmic Shimmer Aurora Sparkle Embossing Powder and heat set it.

I stamped the holly image from the Creative Expressions Let it Snow Stamp Set using Olive Archival. I popped a piece of Self Adhesive Film over the top and then cut it out using Spellbinders Floral Ovals. I removed the top sheet from the film and dipped it into Cosmic Shimmer Aurora Crystal Sparkle Glitter. I threaded an Idea-ology Bauble onto some Cobalt Jade Iridescent Sheer Ribbon, tied a bow and added it to the top of the oval. I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set using the same process but this time used Spellbinders Ribbon Banners to cut it out.

I used approx 1m of the same iridescent sheer ribbon to weave a border. Here's the link again on how to do the ribbon weaving. I used some super sticky tape to secure it.

I finished the card by adding some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Black Pearl.

For those of you who missed out on the sheer iridescent ribbon, I'm going to try and put some similar packs together and pop them on Buy it Now on eBay (can't seem to load it on my Amazon Store). I'll post the link on here as soon as I've done it.

Thanks for stopping by.

Ribbon Wreath

Hi Bloggers.

Thank you so much for all your lovely comments and emails yesterday. I really enjoyed both shows - I hope you did too. Welcome to my new followers.

Just to let you know that I am currently out of stock of the stamp sets I used in the shows but I have ordered some more and they should be arriving in my Amazon Store very soon.

Today I thought I'd share the card with the ribbon wreath on it from yesterday's shows so that I can point you to the correct place on the Creative Expressions Website to find Sue's tutorial on how to make it.

For the background, I ran a piece of milk card through the Grand Calibur with the Couture Creations Constellations Embossing Folder. I inked around the edges with Aged Mahogany Distress Ink using Cut n Dry Foam.

I stamped the bauble from the Creative Expressions Christmas Bauble Stamp Set using Vermillion Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I stamped around the edge of it using one of the stamps from the Creative Expressions Beaded Elements Stamp Set using Olive Archival.

I used 3 yards of each of the green ribbons from the Two Tone Ribbon Pack that was on the show and made a wreath. Here's the link to Sue's tutorial on How to Make a Ribbon Wreath. I added a bow made from the red ribbon in the pack. I stuck the wreath to the card using 3D Foam Pads.

I finished the card off with some White 3mm Pearls on the bauble and some White 5mm Pearls on the embossed background. I also edged the card with some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Berry Red.

I hope you have a go at making a wreath. Tomorrow I'll share a card which just has a bit of ribbon weaving on it as a border.

Thanks for stopping by.

Julia.
