Hi Bloggers.
How's this for a quick card?
I dusted a piece of Milk Card with my anti-static bag. I inked all over the Christmas Trees mask with Perfect Medium and popped it on top of my card with the ink face down. I then ran it through the Grand Calibur with the normal embossing sandwich. The ink transferred to the debossed pattern. I sprinkled Cosmic Shimmer Golden Green Sparkle Embossing Powder, shook off any excess and then heat set.
I pieced together my sentiment from the Create A Scene Text stamp set onto my acrylic block and stamped it onto a piece of Milk Card using Olive Green Archival. I embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Large Labels and inked through the die with Pine Needles Distress Ink using Cut n Dry Foam. I mounted it onto a Fleur de Lys Rectangle cut from green card.
I finished the card off with some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Olympic Gold.
I'm off to Thorpe Park today with Kathryn and her boyfriend on a pre-Uni fun day - wish me luck!
I'll be back tomorrow with a sneak peak from Sunday's shows.
Thanks for stopping by.
Julia.
Hi Julia, what a sweet card, any Grandad would love to receive this card I am sure. As you say so quick to make.

Morning,
ReplyDeleteA lovely simple card but so effective. With this busy time for card making approaching quick cards are always handy.

Hi Julia, a great card, I have the festive masks, and this has given me a lot of inspiration. Have a good day out. Bx
ReplyDeleteAnother great technique. Are you stamping or spellbinding on Sunday? I will have to record it as working Sat. night so will be sleeping though it isn't unknown for me to get up and watch something I'm interested in!!
ReplyDeleteMorning Julia, A lovely quickie card today, but as another postee said, quick for you is not necessarily quick for us ha ha!!! This card is beautiful and ideas could be used when 'batch cardmaking' for charity or Church fetes or yourself if you send a lot of Christmas cards. A lovely card Julia.
