I'm running my own workshop local to me today in Yardley Gobion just outside Milton Keynes. I packed my little car to the brim yesterday with goodies to use and goodies for my lovely crafters to purchase. Hoping for a fun day!

Here's today's card which was a demo from one of my Hochanda shows last month. Just an ingredient list today as still have lots to do!

John Lockwood is launching some new stamps this weekend and here's a sample I've made from one of his new sets and a gorgeous new Spellbinders Die Set -

I stamped the sentiment and the frame from John's Rosebud Elements Stamp Set onto Coconut White Card using Jet Black Archival. I coloured in the roses with Scarlet Flame Cosmic Shimmer Matt Drawing Ink from the Autumn Shades Set and Soft Moss from the Garden Twist Set. I used the Out of the Box Technique (will hopefully demo that on the Craft Clinic on Monday) and cut out using one of the dies im the Spellbinders Imperial Square Die Set. I inked through the die with Aged Mahogany Distress Ink.

I cut the largest die in the set out of Rich Red Card. At the emboss stage, I added the die I used for the frame to give me a faux piercing look.

I cut the largest die in the Spellbinders 6 x 6 Matting Basics Die Set out of Coconut White Card and ran it through the Grand Calibur with the Creative Expressions Bed of Roses Embossing Folder. I added Aged Mahogany Distress Ink to the very edges.

Here's today's card -

I just used masks on the background for this one, no stamps. I used Milk Card. First I randomly stamped through the Squared Mask with Bundled Sage Distress Ink, then repeated the process with the Delicate Mask and Dried Marigold Distress Ink. I ran the piece through the Grand Calibur with the Couture Creations Paradise Embossing Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the design and inked around the edges with Dried Marigold Distress Ink. I added a piece of Cream Guipure Duchess Lace along the right-hand edge securing with Cosmic Shimmer Dries Clear Glue.

I stamped the image from the Heartfelt Creations Journey of Love Keys Stamp Set using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I colored in using Cosmic Shimmer Matt Drawing Inks. I used Marigold from the Autumn Shades Set and Soft Moss from the Garden Twist Set. I cut it out using Spellbinders Labels 28 and inked through the die with Dried Marigold. I stamped and embossed the image again. I laid a template I had made from the Hearfelt Creations Burnished Key Die over the the image, slotted the die over the top and ran it though the Grand Calibur. I added the cut key over the top of the coloured image using 3d Foam and added an 8mm Cream Pearl. I cut a Spellbinders Decorative Labels 28 out of Apricot Card.

I made a flower using 3 of the 2nd smallest dies from Spellbinders Labels 24 and 3 of the middle sized dies from the same set. I added some Dried Marigold to the edges of the petals. I stamped a couple of leaves from the Heartfelt Creations Bold Leaf Die Set using Bundles Sage Distress Ink and cut them out using the corresponding dies from the Heartfelt Creations Classic Leaf Die Set.

I assembled the card as shown adding some more Cream Pearls, a Pearl Swirl and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Sparkle Pearl PVA in Crystal around the edges.

For the background, I stamped the Heartfelt Creations Script Key Background twice using Dusty Concord Distress Ink. Imade sure the ink was dry and then ran it through the Grand Calibur with the Couture Creations Joe's Garden Embossing Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the design and inked around the edges with Dusty Concord.

I cut a narrow strip of card and stamped the new Creative Expressions Floral Background twice using Dusty Concord. The join is hidden behind the image panel.

I stamped the image from the Heartfelt Creations Dahlia Cluster Stamp Set onto some Heather Card using Perfect Medium and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer True White Detail Embossing Powder. I coloured it in using Cosmic Shimmer Matt Drawing Inks. I used Purple Violet from the Summer Fayre Set and Soft Moss from the Garden Twist Set. I cut it out using Spellbinders Fleur de Lys Rectangles and inked through the die with Dusty Concord Distress Ink.

 I tied a bow using White Crochet Ribbon and added a Frosted Violet Dazzler.

I assembled the card as shown adding an 8mm White Pearl in each corner and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pastel PVA in Lilac around the edges.

Here's today's card -

Another messy background - you should all be quite proficient at these now! I used Milk Card. First, I randomly inked through the Squared Mask with Bundled Sage Distress Ink, then repeated with the Delicate Mask and Scattered Straw Distress Ink. Then, with the stamp ink my hand, randomly stamped the Heartfelt Creations Script Key Background using Bundled Sage and the new Creative Expressions Swirl Background using Scattered Straw. I made sure the ink was dry and ran it through the Grand Calibur with the Couture Creations Paradise Embossing Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the design and inked around the edges with Scattered Straw.

I stamped the Dahlia from the Heartfelt Creations Dahlia Cluster Stamp Set using Perfect Medium and embossed using Cosmic Shimmer Gold Detail Embossing Powder. I coloured in using Cosmic Shimmer Matt Drawing Inks - Sunflower from the Summer Fayre Set and Soft Moss from the Garden Twist Set. I cut it out using Spellbinders A2 Curved Matting Basics A and inked through the die with Scattered Straw.

I cut a Spellbinders Fleur De Lys Rectangle out of Custard Card and inked through the die with Scattered Straw.

I stamped the sentiment from the Heartfelt Creations Burnished Key Hole Stamp Set using Perfect Medium and embossed with Gold Detail Powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Decorative Labels 22 and inked through the die with Scattered Straw. I coloured the flourish in using Sunflower Matt Drawing Ink. I added another key that I had left over from another project, over the top of the gold one.

I assembled the card as shown adding an 8mm Cream Pearl in each corner, a pearl swirl and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Sparkle Pearl PVA in Crystal around the edges.

It's your day to Shine

Here's today's card -

For the background, with the stamp in my hand, I randomly stamped the Hexagon Script using Barn Door Distress Ink. I repeated the process with the Art Collage Stamp using Fired Brick Distress Ink. I made sure the ink was dry and then dusted the whole area with my anti-static bag. I inked up a small section of the Rose Background with Perfect Medium and added it to my background. I sprinkled with Cosmic Shimmer Coral Glow Aurora Embossing Powder from the Brights Set and heat set. I repeated this process until I felt I had a good coverage of the Rose Background. I inked around the edges with Fired Brick using Cut n Dry Foam.

I stamped the image from the Party Ladies Stamp Set using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I coloured in using Cosmic Shimmer Matt Drawing Inks. I used Umber, Marigold and Dark Spice from the Autumn Shades Set and Warm Delight from the Skin Tones Set. I cut it out using the smallest of the Grand Decorative Ovals dies and inked through the die with Fired Brick. I cut the next size up of the Grand Ovals out of Black Card.

I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Clear Powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Matting Basics B and inked through the die with Fired Brick. I cut a mat out of Black Card using Spellbinders Distressed Edges from the Card Creator series.

I tied a bow using Burgundy/Ivory Striped Grosgrain Ribbon and added a Black Dazzler.

I assembled the card as shown adding some Black Pearls in 3 of the corners of the background and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Golden Pearl around the edges.

I thought I'd share a card today that I made when I was demoing at Melbicks Garden Centre earlier this month.

For the background, I inked through the Eyelet Lace Mask with Fired Brick Distress Ink using Cut n Dry Foam. I moved the mask along the card to extend the design. I then stamped around the edges of the card using the Elemental Swirl Singles Stamp (coming to my Amazon Store soon!) with Fired Brick. I made sure the ink was dry and then ran it through the Grand Calibur with the Couture Creations Bouquet Embossing Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the pattern (it's so busy you can't see the join) and then inked around the edges with Fired Brick.

I stamped the image from the Heart and Soul Singles Pre Cut Set using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I coloured it in using Cosmic Shimmer Matt Drawing Inks. I used Scarlet Flame and Marigold from the Autumn Shades Set, Soft Moss and Meadow Lime from the Garden Twist Set. I cut it out using Spellbinders Stately Circles and inked through the die with Fired Brick.

I stamped the sentiment that comes with the shoe, again using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Timeless Rectangles and inked through the die with Fired Brick.

I tied a bow using 2 lengths of Red Sheer Wrinkled Edge Ribbon and added a Medium Circle Dazzler.

I assembled the card as shown adding my front to some mats which already had dry dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Berry Red around the edges.

Subtle Blue

A simple card today.

For the background, I simply ran a piece of Milk Card through the Grand Calibur with the Couture Creations One World Embossing Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the pattern (the join is hidden by the topper). I inked around the edges with Stormy Sky Distress Ink using Cut n Dry Foam.

I stamped the image from the Creative Expressions Elegant Ladies Stamp Set using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I coloured her in using Cosmic Shimmer Matt Drawing Inks. I used Blue Cotton and Blue Lace from the Soft Velvet Set, Umber from the Autumn Shades Set and Cosmic Tone from the Skin Tones Set. I cut her out using the second smallest size of the Spellbinders Grand Decorative Ovals dies and inked through the die with Stormy Sky.

I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set using Jet Black Archival and embossed with clear powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Labels 25 and inked through the die with Stormy Sky.

I tied a bow using 2 lengths of Cream Silky Crush Ribbon and added a Frosted Blue Dazzler.

I assembled the card as shown adding some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Summer Blue around the edges.

Purple Demo Card

This card was a demo from last Saturday.

For the background, I used a piece of Milk Card and randomly stamped (with the stamp in my hand) the Hexagon Script Stamp using Seedless Preserves Distress Ink. I repeated the process with the Rose Background Stamp using Dusty Concord Distress Ink. I made sure it was dry and then ran it through the Grand Calibur with the Couture Creations Passion Embossing Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the pattern. You can't really see the embossed design but it does add some texture. I inked around the edges with Dusty Concord using Cut n Dry Foam.

I stamped the image from the Elegant Ladies Stamp Set using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing powder. I coloured her in using Cosmic Shimmer Matt Drawing Inks. I used Clover and Summer Haze from the Soft Velvet Set, Umber from the Autumn Shades Set and Cosmic Tone from the Skin Tones Set. I cut her out using the smallest of the Grand Decorative Ovals One Dies and inked through the die with Dusty Concord. I cut the second smallest Grand Decorative Circles One out of Blackcurrant Pearlescent card.

I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set using Jet Black Archival and embossed with clear powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Labels 25 and inked through the die with Dusty Concord.

I tied a bow using 2 lengths of Cream Silky Crush Ribbon and added a Lavender Dazzler.

I assembled the card as shown adding a Pearl Swirl and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in White around the edges.

A brown card today - the last one with my favourite image from the Elegant Ladies Stamp Set.

For the background, I simply ran a piece of Coconut White card through the Grand Calibur with the Couture Creations Exotic Embossing Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the pattern and then inked around the edges with Vintage Photo Distress Ink using Cut n Dry Foam.

I stamped the image from the Elegant Ladies Stamp Set using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I coloured her in using Cosmic Shimmer Matt Drawing Inks. I used Umber and Dark Spice from the Autumn Shades Set, Caramel Blush and Warm Delight from the Skin Tones Set. I cut her out using the smallest of the Spellbinders Grand Decorative Ovals One Dies and inked though the die with Vintage Photo.

I cut the next size up of the Grand Oval dies out of Brown Card. I cut the next size up out of Coconut White Card and inked through the die with Vintage Photo.

I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set using Jet Black Archival and embossed with clear powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Labels 25 and inked through the die with Vintage Photo.

I made a couple of ribbon roses out of Brown/Ivory Striped Grosgrain Ribbon and added some leftover bits from a Pearl Swirl.

I assembled the card as shown adding some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Dark Bronze around the edges.

Fashion Fades

I think we could all do with a bit of sunshine - makes us feel happier I think. Today's card is full of sunshine in a lovely yellow.

For the background, I ran some Milk Card through the Grand Calibur with the Couture Creations One World Embossing Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the pattern. I forgot that I wanted to use the Rose Background Stamp, so I did this after embossing with the stamp in my hand and with Mustard Seed Distress Ink. I then inked around the edges with Mustard Seed using Cut n Dry Foam.

I stamped the image from the Creative Expressions Elegant Ladies Stamp Set using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I coloured her in using Cosmic Shimmer Matt Drawing Inks. I used Sunflower from the Summer Fayre Set, Umber and Dark Spice from the Autumn Shades Set and Warm Delight from the Skin Tones Set. I cut her out using the smallest of the Grand Decorative Circles One dies and inked through the die with Mustard Seed. I cut a mat out using the next size of the Grand Decorative Circles One and again inked through the die with Mustard Seed.

I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set using Jet Black Archival and embossed with clear powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Labels 25 and inked through the die with Mustard Seed.

I tied a bow using 2 lengths of Cream Silky Crush Ribbon, added a Fancy Pearl Embellishment and a couple of Decorative Stick Pins.

I assembled the card as shown adding some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Golden Pearl around the edges.

A really simple card today to show off the Couture Creations Passion Embossing Folder.

I used Milk Card again. I ran some through the Grand Calibur with the Passion Embossing Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the design and then inked around the edges with Dusty Concord Distress Ink using Cut n Dry Foam.

I stamped the image from the Creative Expressions Party Ladies Stamp Set using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I coloured her in using Cosmic Shimmer Matt Drawing Inks. I used Purple Lilac from the Summer Fayre Set, Umber and Dark Spice from the Autumn Shades Set and Warm Delight from the Skin Tones Set. I cut her out using the smallest of the Spellbinders Grand Decorative Ovals Dies and inked through the die with Dusty Concord.

I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set using Jet Black Archival and embossed with clear powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Labels 25 and inked through the die with Dusty Concord.

I tied a bow using 2 lengths of Cream Silky Crush Ribbon and added a Lavender Dazzler.

I assembled the card as shown. I inked the edges of the mats and added some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in White.
