Cosmic Shimmer Chalk Cloud Backgrounds

Hi Bloggers.

I'm heading up to Creative Expressions HQ today for the first of my Stained Glass Window Techniques Workshops. We're using all 5 of Sue Wilson's Stained Glass Window Dies - it's going to be busy! I'm repeating the workshop next Wednesday so if you fancy joining us, there are a couple of spaces remaining - book here.

I have 2 cards for you today. Very simple to produce so, like yesterday's card, great to have in your stash or can be made if you need a card in a hurry. I actually made them both at the last workshop I ran up at CE HQ so quite appropriate to share them today 😊

So, for the background on this one, I inked up the Woodware Memories Stamp with Blue Lagoon and Terracotta Chalk Clouds, applying the ink using Smoothies. I was quite random with my inking. I like the way you get a different colour where the inks overlap. I stamped onto Coconut White Card.

I cut out using Sue Wilson's Essential Rectangles and inked around the edges with Terracotta Chalk Cloud using a Smoothie.

I stamped the images on top using Onyx Black Versafine Ink - they're all from Danny Mcintosh's Watch the Birdie Rubber Stamp Set. I completed my card by mounting onto Black Card and popping onto a Coconut White Card blank.

Here's the second card -

For the background on this one, I inked the Woodware Travel Background with Blue Lagoon, Enchanted Blossom and Terracotta Chalk Clouds using Smoothies. This time I inked the stamp up in bands across the stamp. You still see a mix of colours where the inks overlap, especially where the Blue Lagoon meets the Enchanted Blossom.

I cut out again using Sue's Essential Rectangles and inked around the edges with Blue Lagoon Chalk Cloud using a Smoothie.

This time, I over-stamped with one of the eyes from the Woodware Eyes Stamp Set and used the sentiment from the Woodware Vintage Inspiration Stamp Set.

Sue Wilson is launching a One Day Special today at 6pm with part 2 of her 2017 Festive Collection of dies. She has another show today at 8pm and then more shows at 9am, 1pm and 5pm. Portraits

Hi Bloggers.

Lisa Horton is launching a new One Day Special on Hochanda this evening at 8pm with stamps and stencils designed by her other half, Danny McIntosh. I've already featured some of these stamps here on my blog and there have been some sneak peeks fom Danny and Lisa over on Facebook and now finally they have their day on tv. I love them and I hope you do too.

I have a simple card for you today featuring a couple of Danny's stamps and a new Woodware Background stamp.

For the background, I inked up the new Woodware Travel Background with 3 colours of new CS Chalk Cloud Inks (available on my website now - fabulous inks. Love, love, love them!) using Smoothies.  I stamped onto Coconut White Card. I cut out using Sue Wilson's Double Pierced Essential Rectangles and edged with one of the inks used.

I then stamped the lady the the text stamp from the Portraits Stamp Set using Onyx Black Versafine Ink.

I popped onto a Black Card mat and then onto a Coconut White Card blank.

I thought I'd remind you of some of the cards that I've made with these stamps (I have 3 of the 7 sets to use). Lisa has most of them so you may see them on the shows.

I'm offering 10% discount on items I have in stock from the shows. You can find them here. Offer applies till midnight tomorrow night or while stocks last. Discount will be applied at checkout.

I'm heading up to CE HQ this morning to run a workshop so an early start for me.

Thanks for stopping by.

Elegant Lady in Grey

Hi Bloggers.

Here's today's card -

I started by cutting die #2 from Sue Wilson's Scalloped Lattice Frames Set B out of Coconut White Card. I stamped the Woodware Old Letter Stamp (back in stock very soon hopefully) using Shadow Grey Archival. I cut die #3 from the same die set out of Dark Grey Card and popped onto a Coconut White Card blank.

I stamped the lady from the Creative Expressions Portraits Rubber Stamp Set designed by Danny Mcintosh over the top using Watering Can Archival.

Using up my UTEE embellishments again, I added a silver one to the ladies hat (see yesterday's post describing how to make UTEE embellishments).

I finished my card by adding a 5mm White Pearl to each corner of my background.

Lisa  is continuing with his One Day Special on Hochanda today with shows at 9am, 12noon, 4pm and 7pm. I'm offering 10% discount on items I have on my website from the shows. You can find them here. Offer applies till midnight tonight or while stocks last. Discount will be applied at checkout.

Pack up Your Troubles

Hi Bloggers.

Here's today's card -

I cut a piece of Coconut White Card using a die from Sue Wilson's Scalloped Lattice Frames Set B. I misted it with water and then sprinkled a CS Aubergine Dream Pixie Powder over. Once dry, I sprinkled some Pixie Powder onto a piece of copy paper. I rubbed the firework image from the Creative Expressions Pack Up Your Troubles Stamp Set designed by Danny Mcintosh into the powder. I misted the stamp with water and stamped onto my background. I repeated this 3 more times.

I stamped a couple of the word stamps from the same set using CS Chic Aubergine Colour Cloud applying the ink with a Smoothie. I also edged the background with Chic Aubergine.

I dusted with an Anti-Static Bag and stamped the plane and the sentiment from the same stamp set using Clear Perfect Medium and embossed with CS Black Detail Embossing Powder.

I cut a mat out of Black Card using the next sized die in the set and popped onto a Coconut White Card blank.

Phill Martin is continuing with his One Day Special on Hochanda today with shows at 9am, 12noon, 4pm and 7pm. I'm offering 10% discount on items I have on my website from the shows. Thank you for your orders over the weekend, I will try and get as many out today as possible. I'm out of stock of a few of Lisa's stamps sets - I've already ordered some more. Hopefully they will be here by the end of this week.

Hopefully, stock ordered the Trade Show will start arriving this week. I have already started adding the items to my website with no stock allocated to them to try and get a head start. The best place to see the new products is here. If you see anything that you'd like, simply click on the 'Email me when back in stock' button which is on the right hand side of the screen on each product. You will then receive an email when the stock has arrived. You can do this with any out of stock item. I get a list so I can see what I need to re-stock. The Woodware stamps that I had on my last One Day Special have been re-ordered by CE and they should be back in stock in a week or so.

The winner of the card from Freebie Friday on 24th February is .....................

Please email me at juliawattscrafts@gmail.com with your address and I'll pop your card in the post.
