Owl'sThat!

Hi Bloggers.

Here's today's card -

For the background. I popped the Owl's That Mask onto a piece of Watercolour Card. I sprinkled some Bronze Blush CS Pixie Powder over it (yes, I've only used 1 colour of powder). I then spritzed with water. Leaving the mask in place, I placed a piece of Coconut White Card ove the top and rubbed over with my hand to get a negative from the ink sitting on the mask. I put both pieces aside to dry. I spritzed another piece of Watercolour Card with water and then sprinkled some Bronze Blush Pixie Powder over. I put aside to dry.

I stamped the sentiment from the Justrite Applique Flowers Stamp Set onto Coconut White Card using Jet Black Archival. I cut it out using Justrite Vintage Sentiment Tag Dies and cut the other die in the set out of Black Card.

Once all my Pixie Powdered pieces were dry, I started to construct my card.

I made a flower using my negative piece and Sue Wilson's Orange Blossom Complete Petals, I cut Sue's Orange Blossom Open Petals out of Black Card and stamens from the same set out of Coconut White Card. I added a Black 8mm Pearl to the centre.

I cut some leaves out of my spritzed piece using Sue's Orange Blossom Leaves.

I assembled the card as shown adding some Small Black Circle Dazzlers and piercing around the edges using my Tim Holtz Ruler, Precision Probe and Piercing Mat.

Lisa Horton is launching a One Day Special on Hochanda this evening at 8pm. I'm offering 10% discount on items I have on my website from the shows. You can find them here. Offer applies til midnight tomorrow night.

Must get this mask as my sister is an owl fan.

  20. The owl stencil is what I remember most about your shows and all the 'howzat/Owls that' comments on the shows, it really did seems to have tickled the presenters' funny bones. It is a fab stencil and a lovely card.

  22. Pretty card. I think the owl stencil is ideal for a single colour as it seems to give the 3D more prominence, but then it might be my imagination. It is a most unusual stencil.
