Hi Bloggers.
I'm up at Creative Expressions HQ today running workshops. Should be fun. I'm going to be running a Pixie Powders Masterclass up at HQ on Wednesday 13th July. This will be heavily techniques based featuring many of the techniques that I wasn't able to demo on last week's One Day Special. It's your chance to have a go. Please contact Tracey on 01536 481778
during office hours or email her at tracey@creative-expressions.uk.com
for more information or to book a place.
I have all 20 colours of the Pixie Powders back in stock on my website. You can find them here.
Here's today's card -
For the background, I taped the Lotus Head Mask to a piece of Coconut White Card using Low Tack Tape. I spread some CS Clear Texture Paste over. Leaving the mask in place, I sprinkled CS Pixie Powders in Midnight Blue and Peacock Green. I then removed the mask and put aside to dry.
I misted 2 pieces of Watercolour Card with water. On one I sprinkled Midnight Blue Pixie Powder and on the other I sprinkled Peacock Green and put aside to dry.
I made a frame out of Coconut White Card using Sue Wilson's Double Pierced Squares and Double Pierced Squares Set B. Once my background was dry, I added my frame using 3d Foam.
I stamped the sentiment from the Justrite Applique Flowers Stamp Set onto Coconut White Card using Clear Perfect Medium and embossed with CS Black Detail Embossing Powder. I cut it out using a die from the Justrite Vintage Sentiment Tag Dies.
Once my sprinkled Pixie Powder Backgrounds were dry, on the Peacock Green one, I dusted with my Anti-Static Bag then stamped the sentiment frame from the same stamp set using Clear Perfect Medium and embossed with CS Black Detail Powder. I cut it out using the other die in the Justrite Vintage Sentiment Tag Dies.
I cut a couple of leaves out of my Peacock Green piece using Sue Wilson's Orange Blossom Leaves Die Set.
I stamped the flower from the same stamp set twice onto my Midnight Blue piece, again using Clear Perfect Medium and embossed with CS Black Detail Powder. I cut them out using scissors, one completely and one with just the inner section, and added a Craft Consortium Vintage Pearl Charm.
I assembled the card as shown adding Black and a Coconut White mats.
Thanks for stopping by.
Julia.

This is gorgeous It is such an easy (appears) way of producing a spectacular textural background If it's like the yellow/orange/red one I admired at AP it's my favourite technique using Texture Paste and Pixie Powders
