If Friends were Flowers

Hi Bloggers.

I have shows today on Create & Craft at 8am (with Dave) and at 4pm (with Steph). Hope you can join me and email in for a chance to win a card. I'm up at stupid o'clock again today and will be well on my way to the studios when this post goes live. Big gap between the shows this time - not sure how much sense I'll be making during the 4pm show - plz bear with me!

I have the Pastel and Speckle Embossing Powders that are on the shows in stock in my Amazon Store now. Click on the links to go straight to them.

Here's today's card - hopefully a demo in the 4pm show.

For the background, I first randomly inked through the Trelliage Mask using Ripe Persimmon Distress Ink using Cut n Dry Foam. I repeated the same using the Rosette Mask and Mowed Lawn Distress Ink. Then, with the stamp in my hand, I randomly stamped the bunch of tulips from the Tulip Spray Singles using Ripe Persimmon. I made sure the ink was dry and then ran it though the Grand Calibur with the Couture Creations Celebrate Embossing Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the design and inked around the edges with Ripe Persimmon.

I inked the single tulip flower from the Tulip Spray Set using Mowed Lawn and Ripe Persimmon Distress Markers. I misted it with a little water and stamped. I misted again and stamped again. I repeated this process twice more so that I had 6 tulips. I cut them all out, cutting about half the stem of each. I arranged them as shown secureing with a little tape.

I stamped the Cut Glass Vase using perfect Medium and embossed with new Cosmic Shimmer Duckegg Speckle Embossing Powder. I cut it out and added it on top of the flowers.

I cut a Spellbinders Radiant Rectangle out of Coconut White Card. At the emboss stage I added the Rosette Mask and then inked through the die with Ripe Persimmon. I cut another pair of Radiant Rectangles out of orange card to form a decorative frame.

I stamped the sentiment that comes with the Crystal Swirl Vase using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Branching Out and inked through the die with Ripe Persimmon.

I tied a bow using White Satin Edged Organza and added a Frosted Peach Dazzler.

I assembled the card as shown adding a White 8mm Pearl in each corner and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Cosmic Pearl Pearlescent PVA around the edges.

Hope to see you later!

Thanks for stopping by.

Sneak Peek

Hi Bloggers.

Sue's bow stamps to match her Classic 3D Bow die set are now in stock in my Amazon Store. There are 2 designs - you can see them here.

As promised here's a Sneak Peek from tomorrow's shows (sorry seem to be sharing blue cards at the moment!) -

So, the theme for this set of shows is vases and flowers. There are 4 sets of flowers. In each Single pack there is a small bunch of flowers and a single flower. There are 4 vases, each has a sentiment with it. There is a large bundle in this show which contains all 8 Singles. I will stock them in my Amazon Store, hopefully by the end of next week.

I'll start with the image first for a change. I started by stamping the Scrollwork Vase using Perfect Medium and embossed with new Cosmic Shimmer Pastel Blue Embossing Powder. I cut it out and then coloured in using Tropic Blue Mica Powder from the Cosmic Shimmer Garden Flora Mica Spray Set.

I stamped the Daisy Spray using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I placed the vase below the daisies to establish which die I felt best fit. I decided on Spellbinders Majestic Labels 25. I secured the die in place with removable table, removed the vase and cut & embossed. I inked through the die with Faded Jeans Distress Ink. I coloured in the Daisy Spray using Mowed Lawn and Salty Ocean Distress Markers, pulling the colour out using a Tim Holtz Water Brush. I added a little Cosmic Shimmer Aqua Twinkles to the centre of the daisies.

I glued the vase below the daisies with Cosmic Shimmer Dries Clear Glue.

I stamped the sentiment that comes with the Crystal Swirl Vase, using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Radiant Rectangles and inked through the die with Faded Jeans.

Now for the background. I started by randomly inking through the Openwork Mask with Faded Jeans. I repeated the process with the Rosette Mask and Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink. With the stamp in my hand I randomly stamped the single daisy using Faded Jeans. Again with the stamp in my hand, I randomly stamped a section of the Justrite Lace Oval Frame Background using Faded Jeans. I made sure the ink was dry and then ran it through the Grand Calibur with the Couture Creations Petal Pleasures Embossing Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the design and inked around the edges with Faded Jeans. I wrapped some Blue Satin Edged Organza around the centre.

I tied a bow using the Blue Satin Edged Organza and added a White Crystal Sparkler (coming soon!).

I assembled the card as shown adding some White Pearls in the corners and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pastel Blue PVA around the edges.

Thanks for stopping by.

Friends Through Thick and Thin

Hi Bloggers.

Here's today's card -

For the background, I inked through the Fretwork Mask using Faded Jeans Distress Ink using Cut n Dry Foam. I inked around the edges with Faded Jeans Distress Ink.

I stamped the Delicate Frame (hopefully back in stock tomorrow) onto a piece of Cobalt Card using Perfect Medium and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer True White Detail Powder. I cut it out using the largest die in the Spellbinders Nobel Rectangles Die Set.

I stamped the sentiment from the Creative Expressions Classic Sentiments Stamp Set using Cobalt Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Pearl Effects and inked through the die with Chipped Sapphire.

I cut a flower out using Spellbinders Aster Flower Topper and inked through the die with Chipped Sapphire. I cut a piece of White Crochet Ribbon in half lengthways, added some 12mm Hi-Tack Tape along the cut edge, and rolled it. I added this to the centre of the flower.

I tied a bow using White Crochet Ribbon. I mixed some Ultramarine from the Cosmic Shimmer Rainbow Sparkle Pigments set with some Cosmic Shimmer True White Detail Powder. I pressed a Cameo Setting into Perfect Medium, added my embossing powder mix and heat set. I added a Cameo to the centre.

I assembled the card as shown adding a White 8mm Pearl to each corner and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Summer Blue Pearlescent PVA around the edges.

Just a reminder that I have Sue's stamps back in stock - for details please see this post.

I'll be back tomorrow with a sneak peak from Friday's shows.

Get Well Soon

Hi Bloggers.

Here's today's card -

For the main background, I ran a piece of Coconut White Card through the Grand Calibur with the Couture Creations Endless Embossing Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the design and inked around the edges with Faded Jeans Distress Ink.

I stamped the Justrite Filigree Leaves Background using Perfect Medium. I dusted Ultramarine, Turquoise Sky and Sea Rose Sparkle Pigments from the Cosmic Shimmer Rainbow Sparkle Pigments Set.

I masked off the bottom of the Get Well Soon Stamp and inked the remainder up using Perfect Medium. I removed the mask (always a good idea!) and stamped it. I embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Silver Shine Detail Powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Nobel Rectangles and inked through the die with Faded Jeans. I cut a Spellbinders Pearl Effects out of Perriwinkle Card.

I tied a bow using White Crochet Ribbon. I pressed a Cameo Setting into Perfect Medium, added Cosmic Shimmer Silver Shine Detail Embossing Powder and heat set. I added a cameo.

I assembled the card as shown adding some White Pearls and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in White Pearl around the edges.

I cut it out using Spellbinders Captivating Squares.

Have a Lovely Day

Hi Bloggers.

Wow! You.ve done it again! Most of the stamps to go with Sue's dies have sold out. I will be ordering some more tomorrow morning. There are a few left - dies and stamps here.

This isn't one of my favourite cards but it does contain a nice technique.

For the background, I simply ran a piece of Coconut White Card through the Grand Calibur with the Couture Creations Endless Embossing Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the design. I added some Black Soot Distress Stickles around the edges and put it aside to dry.

I brushed some Enchanted Gold and some Golden Pear from the Cosmic Shimmer Garden Tones Watercolour Set onto the Delicate Daffodil. I lightly spritzed it with water and stamped it onto Black Card. I cut it out using Spellbinders Nobel Rectangles. You can get another one or two impressions from this, spritzing lightly in between each one.

I stamped the sentiment from the Single Sentiments using Perfect Medium and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Gold Detail Powder. I cut it out using another Nobel Rectangle die.

I tied a bow using Black Crochet Ribbon and added a Crystal Sparkler.

I assembled the card as shown adding some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Golden Pearl Pearlescent PVA around the edges.

Don't forget that Sue is on the Toolshed today on Create & Craft 12noon till 2pm. She has some gorgeous new Justrite stamps  - don't miss it!

Thanks for stopping by.

Hi Bloggers.

In case you missed my post yesterday afternoon - I now have most of the stamps that co-ordinate with her dies now in stock in my Amazon Store. Unfortunately, the 2 stamp sets that co-ordinate with the Classic Bow Set have not arrived - I'm told they will be with me shortly. I am still waiting for the Get Well Soon & Thank You stamps and the frames from last Saturday's shows.

You can view the Sue Wilson Dies and Stamps currently in stock here (2 pages). I've put a list of the dies the stamp co-ordinates with in the description of each stamp.

Here's today's card -

For the background, I randomly inked through the Lattice Mask with Peacock Feathers Distress Ink using Cut n Dry Foam. I then randomly stamped part of the Rose Corner using Peacock Feathers and repeated the same with a section of the Two Hearts Entwined Stamp.

I stamped the bike from the Love's Beautiful Ride Stamp Set using Perfect Medium and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer True White Detail Embossing Powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Labels 29.

I stamped the sentiment that comes with the bike, again using Perfect Medium and embossed with TrueWhite Detail Powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Fleur de Lis Rectangles.

I made a flower using the Heartfelt Creations Sweet Juliet Die, adding a brad from the Primary Pack. I cut some leaves out of Teal Card using the same die set.

I assembled the card as shown adding some White 8mm Pearls in the corners and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Teal Sparkle PVA around the edges.

You're Simply the Best

Hi Bloggers.

Here's today's card -

I wouldn't normally put silver, pink and ivory together but it seemed to work on this card.

Hard to see, I know, but for the background I stamped the Justrite Dotted Fronds Background using Victorian Velvet Distress Ink several times onto Milk Card.

I wrapped some Cream Guipure Duchess Lace around both sides, securing with Cosmic Shimmer Dries Clear Glue.

I stamped the sentiment from the Creative Expressions Classic Sentiments Stamp Set using Perfect Medium and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Silver Detail Embossing Powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Pearl Effects and inkd through the die with Victorian Velvet.

I stamped the Delicate Frame, again using Perfect Medium and embossed with Silver Detail Powder. I cut it out using another Spellbinders Pearl Effects Die and inked through the die with Victorian Velvet.

I made some flowers using Spellbinders Aster Flower Topper and added some Pewter Distress Stickles to the centres.

I assembled the card as shown adding some dots of Vintage Pink Pearlescent PVA around the edges.

Best Wishes

Hi Bloggers.

Back from the Trade Show - I'm just a tad tired today! Before I share today's card, I just wanted to let you know that I have had to remove the ability for you to leave annonymous comments. I have been bombarded with spam comments and although Blogger catches most of them before they publish my email inbox has received them all and as I can't tell if they're a valid comment or spam, I have to open them all. As long as you become a follower of my blog you'll be able to leave a comment. Hope you understand why I've made the change.

Also, if any of you have purchased from my Amazon Shop, would you be kind enough to leave me some feedback please? There's a lady who has recently purchased one of Sue's Bow Die Sets from me and she has left me neutral feedback because she doesn't know how to use it. My performance has dropped to 98% from 100% as a result. If you have any problems with your orders, I would really appreciate an email first so I can try an fix the problem before feedback is left.

Here's today's card -

For the background, I first randomly inked through the Funky Mask with Dusty Concord Distress Ink. I then did the same with the Delicate Mask and Seedless Preserves. With the stamp in my hand, I randomly stamped the Vintage Tapestry A6 stamp with Dusty Concord and then the Perfume Background with Seedless Preserves. I made sure the ink was dry and then ran it through the Grand Calibur with the Couture Creations Super Plush Embossing Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the design and then inked around the edges with Dusty Concord. I ran some Icicle Stickles around the edges and put aside to dry.

I stamped the Crystal Cut perfume bottle using Dusty Concord and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Cear Embossing Powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Opulent Ovals and inked through the die with Dusty Concord.

I stamped the sentiment that comes in the set, again using Dusty Concord and embossed with Clear Powder. I cut it out using Justrite Vintage Labels 4 and inked through the die with Dusty Concord.

I tied a bow using Purple/Ivory Striped Grosgrain. I pressed a Dazzler Setting into Perfect Medium, added Cosmic Shimmer Silver Detail Embossing Powder and heat set. I added a Frosted Violet Dazzler.

I assembled the card as shown adding some Cream Pearls to the corners and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pastel Lilac PVA around the edges.
