Hi Bloggers.
Thank you for all your emails and comments yesterday. Much appreciated as always.
I'm off to the NEC today to demonstrate on the Creative Expressions stand at the UK Trade Show. Lots of new goodies to play, I mean work, with. Exciting stuff! Just hope the weather is kind on my journeys up and down the motorway for the next 3 days.
Here's today's card -
A messy background on this one. I used Coconut White Card. I started by randomly inking through the Ivy Mask with Scattered Straw Distress Ink. Then, with the stamp in my hand, I randomly stamped the flower head from the Delicate Daffodil using Scattered Straw. I then randomly stamped the Justrite Filigree Leaves Background, again with the stamp in my hand and Scattered Straw. I made sure the ink was dry and then ran it through the Grand Calibur witht the Couture Creations Endless Embossing Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the design and inked around the edges with Scattered Straw.
I stamped the Delicated Daffodil onto Sand Card using Perfect Medium and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer True White Detail Embossing Powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Detailed Scallops and inked through the die with Scattered Straw.
I stamped the sentiment from the Creative Expressions Celebration Stamp Set using Perfect Medium and embossed with True White Detail Powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Nobel Rectangles and inked through the die with Scattered Straw.
I tied a bow using Cream Crochet Ribbon. I made a flower using Spellbinders Aster Flower Topper and added a Cream 8mm Pearl.
I assembled the card as shown adding some more pearls to the corners and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Golden Pearl around the edges.
Thanks for stopping by.
Julia.

Morning Julia, Firstly, Congratulations to Mrs B having your email read out.
ReplyDeleteSecondly, I'm so glad you have showcased this card today, I was in 'awe' Julia, when I saw your completed background with the flower heads dotted here and there together with the mask and the filigree leaves stamp, when you held it up, I was 'in love', the background looked very ethereal and mystical, but I couldn't get over the flower heads, it was magnificent. I absolutely love this card.
Thirdly, your shows yesterday were brilliant, I could watch you all day demo'ing.
Fourthly, have a good time at the Trade Shows.
Lots of love from Patricia xx

Loved your shows yesterday - I'm sure having Leonie & Martyn with you makes a lot of difference!! Loved the demos and although I wasn't lucky enough to have my email read out or win a card - just to see you demo this card and now read how you made it will make up for it (just a little) - I will keep on trying until I do win a card!! Actually Julia, ever thought of doing a Wednesday Giveaway like Sue does? You must have stacks of cards......
Anyway look forward to seeing you again on C&C at the end of the month.
Take care - although nice to see the sun shining this morning. No wind or rain.

Hi Julia, I could watch you demo on C&C 24/7! You absolutely crack me up sometimes - especially when you and Nigel are together :o) Going to have to get some of the 'Stamping with Creative Expressions programmes transferred from my Sky box on to DVD! This demo was lovely and I particularly fell in love with the Nobel Rectangle die set. I missed out on the new sentiments singles, but hey ho! There's always a next time. Have seen the dates for Ally Pally in April and really hope to get to meet you this year. Enjoy your time at Stitches. Love Karen xx
