Hi Bloggers.
Here's today's card -
For the background, I stamped the Scroll Corner from the Creative Expressions Scroll Border and Corner Stamp Set using Perfect Medium and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Lapis Pink Aurora Embossing Powder. I then ran it through the Grand Calibur with the Heart Confetti Mask and inked around the edges with Victorian Velvet Distress Ink.
I stamped the Creative Expressions Scroll Heart using Perfect Medium and embossed with Lapis Pink Aurora. I cut it out using Spellbinders Decorative Labels One and inked through the die with Victorian Velvet.
I made some flowers using the Heartfelt Creations Sweet Juliet Die, adding a Rhinestone Brad to the centre. I cut some leaves using the same die set and inked through the die with Victorian Velvet.
I assembled the card as shown adding some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Crystal Sparkle Pearl PVA around the edges.
Thanks for stopping by.
Julia.
Morning Julia.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much this card is beautiful, even though I don'thave those stamps I do have dies that I can use corners and heart. Both you and Sue are so clever thank you for the inspiration. Take care Kitty
Hi Julia
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card love the heart stamp it would make a good wedding anniversary stamp for my auntie and uncle who are celebrating 60 years of marriage thank you Tracy w x
Good morning Julia this card it beautiful. If the colours were changed it would make a fantastic Valentine's card. Have a great day. Love Jackie
ReplyDeletePretty card Julia, and I love the flower, but won't buy it because I think it's ridiculously expensive for what it is.
ReplyDeleteMorning all. Julia this card is BEAUTIFUL, and so delicate. I agree with Jackie too, it would make a lovely Valentines card (if only we could get our men to craft) : ) !!
ReplyDeleteI also agree with Leslie in a way. Unless you sell cards on a frequent basis and do really well selling them, it is an expensive die to use 'every so often' although with their brilliant quality they will outlive us, I do a fair every month and its touch and go if I sell enough to cover the cost of the table, but on the fairs leading to annual special days, I do okish and without 1 particular lady litterally bogging me down with orders, I wouldn't make enough, my aim for saving is to invest in an arthritis friendly A4 die cutting machine so do I take some money from my tin and buy these pretty little sweet juliets and hope I sell enough MD cards to get my money back, or work with what I have and keep saving ? Maybe Leslie the new dies by SB now being sold with the C&C brand name will do a sweet juliet die at a price we can afford and with the same SB brilliant quality, lets hope shall we : )
Sending Sunday smiles to you all.
Lancashire Steph xx
As far as yours and Lesley's comments about the Sweet Juliet Dies being expensive, here's my thoughts. Heartfelt Creations dies aren't cheap, I grant you. But I think that when looking at stamps and dies you need to consider how often you're going to use them. The Sweet Juliet flower is different to anything else on the market and makes a lovely addition to any card so I would use it lots so for me it's good value. I see no point in being caught up in buying dies because they're cheap and then just sit on the shelf not being used. Just my opinion. Julia.
DeleteHi Julia, very pretty card today. It would make a good Valentine card, but equally just beautiful to send for any occasion.

Morning Julia,
ReplyDeleteLove, love your card, very pretty. I think I agree with you Julia, you have to consider how much you will use a die or stamps id they are going to sit in the box then it's a waste, As for the Juliet die I haven't purchased it myself but I think it would be used quite a lot, so have it on my wish list.
Have a good day.
Lydia

Lovely card I see Lanc Steph & Leslie's comments I don't sell my cards I make them to give to friends & family Only occasionally does my daughter ask me to make a card for a work colleague She organises a collection etc I started card making because I had to stop knitting for a while - arthritis in hands I have to be careful what I buy Expense does become a consideration but as long as I get value for money then the odd expense is justified
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty card Julia, best wishes Jackie D
ReplyDeleteHi Julia, another lovely romantic card. Love the colours and the scroll heart stamp is gorgeous. Have a great Sunday. Bx
ReplyDeleteHi Julia, love the colours and the flowers are beautiful will have to get the flower die, love Jean Z xxx
ReplyDeleteHi Julia. A beautiful romantic card today. I love the Sweet Juliet flower die, it's on my (long) wish list. I have a VERY limited budget and only make cards to send to family and friends so I have to choose what I buy very carefully, and I have learnt the hard way that some cheaper versions of dies are a false economy! I just have to wait until items come down in price for whatever reason. It makes me use all my dies etc. a lot but that's no bad thing is it. Have a good day. Take care.
ReplyDeleteLovely card love the flowers xx hazel

ReplyDeleteDefinitely pretty in pink today.I also have a limited budget(especially having been made redundant).Sell an occasional card and need to think as many others very carefully about what to buy and what I will use a lot.The sweet Juliet are gorgeous but we each have to decide what is for us and save for it if it is a" must have!" not much else I can do but it is something to look forward to.

Hi Julia,
ReplyDeleteLove today's card! As you know I love the sweet Juliet die. I agree it is expensive but is totally different to the other floral dies. I don't have lots of dies because I know some would hardly see the light of day. Others you just know you will use over and over again. This die makes lovely felt flowers also. I've been using up some patterned paper as well! It turned up on a craft room clear out!
Love Myra
Hello Julia, A pretty in pink card, love the delicate corners and of course the gorgeous Sweet Juliet flowers, I used mine to make a friend's birthday card and I know she will love them and I will use them lots, agree with you Julia better to have dies that you use and not stuck on a shelf because they are cheap.
ReplyDeleteTake care.
Hugs June xxx

ReplyDeleteHi Julia, I was lucky enough to' Win' this demo card, and it is absolutely stunning. The colours are soft and pastel and the background embossing and stamping are really pretty. The sweet Juliet die-cut flowers are absolutely stunning, as are the crystal sparkle pva dots. Thank You.
