Especially For You

Hi Bloggers.

I have shows today on Create & Craft at 9am with Nigel and 2pm with Steph. Hope you can join me. It looks like the 9am show is being repeated at 12noon on Craft Extra. The 2pm show is scheduled to be repeated on Create & Craft at 8pm today and then the 9am is scheduled for a repeat at 7am tomorrow morning.  Remember, you can usually watch recordings of the shows online, just click on the play icon next to the show in the TV schedule.

Here's today's card -

Another messy background - you should all be quite proficient at these now! I used Milk Card. First, I randomly inked through the Squared Mask with Bundled Sage Distress Ink, then repeated with the Delicate Mask and Scattered Straw Distress Ink. Then, with the stamp ink my hand, randomly stamped the Heartfelt Creations Script Key Background using Bundled Sage and the new Creative Expressions Swirl Background using Scattered Straw. I made sure the ink was dry and ran it through the Grand Calibur with the Couture Creations Paradise Embossing Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the design and inked around the edges with Scattered Straw.

I stamped the Dahlia from the Heartfelt Creations Dahlia Cluster Stamp Set using Perfect Medium and embossed using Cosmic Shimmer Gold Detail Embossing Powder. I coloured in using Cosmic Shimmer Matt Drawing Inks - Sunflower from the Summer Fayre Set and Soft Moss from the Garden Twist Set. I cut it out using Spellbinders A2 Curved Matting Basics A and inked through the die with Scattered Straw.
I cut a Spellbinders Fleur De Lys Rectangle out of Custard Card and inked through the die with Scattered Straw.

I stamped the sentiment from the Heartfelt Creations Burnished Key Hole Stamp Set using Perfect Medium and embossed with Gold Detail Powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Decorative Labels 22 and inked through the die with Scattered Straw. I coloured the flourish in using Sunflower Matt Drawing Ink. I added another key that I had left over from another project, over the top of the gold one.

I assembled the card as shown adding an 8mm Cream Pearl in each corner, a pearl swirl and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Sparkle Pearl PVA in Crystal around the edges.

See you later !

Thanks for stopping by.

Julia.

  13. Oh what a fool the above is. WHY spoil Julia's blog with this twaddle (thought I could waffle but this guy doesn't even make sense ! Julia will soon get rid, then you'll be wondering what I was going on about ! (some chap advertising for a loan company got to our blog) !

Anyway, love the colours used and the flower is lush, but you know me by now, not a messy background lover. Enjoy yourself today Julia - two smashing presenters to work with, although Nigel is SO funny (comedy duo) just wish he'd let you explain things to us a bit more, but you both make me smile.
Have a good day dear Wattsonettes.
    Love.

love today's card. The stamps and the rectangle are fabulous. Must have a look at the rectangle. I have the squares but have never seen the rectangles before. looked back Steph to see what you were on about but it must have already been deleted. Help Julia I missed the 9.00 show and I only have a show at 4.00 showing on my tv guide. So must now go in a re-programme before we go out.

  25. FAB show's Julia. I owe you an appology. Your messey backgrounds look SO much prettier on air than on my phone screen, so this will be the last time I say "I dont like them" !! Just goes to show ! Im so glad you deleted that earlier message re loans ! WHY do people have to spoil things ? Oh, well done on your award : ) doubt Nigel will ever be awarded one lol ! Just re-watching your 2pm show as couldn't concentrate on you as much as I like. Anyway, just 1 question Julia please, what colour Foundation card did Sue use on her card today ? Its lush : ) I really REALLY love how you worked those stunnung new stamps today. Thanks Julia for 2 great and helpful shows.
