Hi Bloggers.
The lovely Nikki Payne will be on Create & Craft today at 10am and 4pm. She has some gorgeous new stamps from Sue's artist - I am sure that her samples will be stunning. Be sure to tune in. I have already ordered some stamps from Nikki's shows plus the new background stamps that I had on my shows last week. Hopefully, they will be in my Amazon Store by the end of the week. I'll post here when available.
A handbag card today for a change!
Another messy background. I used Coconut White Card. I started with the Justrite Sweet Lace Background Stamp in my hand, randomly stamping with Dusty Concord Distress Ink, I then used the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Justrite Large Elegant Sentiments Clear Stamp Set and stamped a few, again using Dusty Concord. I then used the Creative Expressions Butterfly Corner in my hand and randomly stamped using Seedless Preserves Distress Ink. I made sure the ink was dry and ran it through the Grand Calibur with the Couture Creations Super Plush Embossing Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the design and inked around the edges with Dusty Concord Distress Ink.
I stamped the Creative Expressions Bejewelled Bag using Perfect Medium and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Silver Shine Detail Powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Marvelous Squares and inked through the die with Dusty Concord. I added a 5mm White Pearl.
I stamped the sentiment that comes with the bag stamp, again using Perfect Medium and embossed with Silver Shine Detail Powder. I cut it out using Justrite Vintage Labels Four and inked through the die with Dusty Concord.
I tied a bow using White Crochet Ribbon and added a Frosted Violet Dazzler.
I assembled the card asshown adding some White Pearls to the top corners and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pastel PVA in Pastel Lilac around the edges.
Thanks for stopping by.
Julia.

Hi Nancy, I don't know where I got that from, I was partway through my comment and wanted to say something about the beautiful focal image, so scrolled backwards (as I thought !!) and where I got the Label 4 from I don't know haha, as it clearly does say marvelous squares, it must have been a 'senior moment' haha, I have lots of them !!

ReplyDeleteLovely card. I just love the handbag stamps. Helen vofG
ReplyDeleteHi everyone. Like Ros, Im all handbag and pursed out too. I love how every detail is etched into the stamp, gives a beautiful impression. I should think about putting it on the 'get' list, as Mr Lancashire keeps saying " I shouldn't just make cards I'd like to receive, as we all have different likes and dislikes" such a wise old owl !!
ReplyDeleteCant wait to catch up with Nikki's shows during the early hours of tomorrow (when I can watch in peace)
Love to all.

Julia, I wanted to watch the show with Nikki, but I'm in the US and not sure of what time she is on, have pulled up the schedule and they list Dawn Bibby being on for Creative Expressions at 10:00pm - 11:00pm, don't know how to figure that out in our time here, any help you can give would be greatly appreciated. I love your card by the way and was just able to get some of the stamps on Amazon just before Christmas and they have just arrived. I love them. Thnaks so much
ReplyDeleteHi Gretchen, I know it is too late now, but for future reference if you wanted to watch C&C, if you tap into Google - 10 pm in England what time in usa ?? there will pop up the answer, as there are also different time zones within usa, you would probably need to put your area in too. Hope this is of some help.
