An easy peasy card today -
I stamped the Heartfelt Creations Raindrops on Roses Birthday Stamp onto Coconut White Card using Perfect Medium and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer True White Detail Powder. I painted over the whole area with Pastel Lilac Watercolour from the Cosmic Shimmer Pastels Watercolour Set.
I used a slightly wet clean brush to remove most of the paint from the leaves in the design, cleaning it after each leaf.
I stamped the Heartfelt Creations Majestic Background onto some Mauve Card using Perfect Medium and embossed with True White Detail Powder. I cut it out using the Heartfelt Creations Majestic Blooms Die. I selected 3 of the flowers, shaped them and stacked them together securing with Cosmic Shimmer Dries Clear Glue. I added an 8mm White Pearl to the centre. I cut some leaves using the Heartfelt Creations Sweet Juliet Die Set.
I assembled the card as shown adding some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pastel PVA in Pastel Lilac around the edges.
Thanks for stopping by.
Julia.

Hi Julia, a beautiful card and I love the colour.
ReplyDeleteMorning Julia,
ReplyDeleteLovely card and one to do and actually finish on a Sunday. Have several cards where the inspiration has run out half way - so today it's the Raindrops on Roses stamp out and finish them off. These stamps and dies are lovely.
Enjoy your day.

Morning Julia, This card is beautiful, gorgeous colours, gorgeous stamping and heat embossing and gorgeous flowers and foliage. I am going to try this one.
ReplyDeleteI had a quick 'go' with the majestic morning flowers yesterday afternoon, I made a template with the die, stamped and heat embossed the flowers stamp, placed the template over the stamping and used repositionable tape so it didn't move, then secured the die into the apertures in the template, cut it out, and I thought oh no I haven't placed the die properly as there was quite a few bits of 'white' showing around parts of the flowers, then I found out that it was 'shards' of the template that were on the edges, I obviously hadn't 'placed' the die properly, and spent ages picking off the shards of white, it was so comical I couldn't stop laughing. I will be trying your tip of cutting into opposite end flowers next time, but as they say 'practice makes perfect', and 'if at first you don't succeed.......' so I will be having another go this afternoon hahaha.
Have a lovely day.
Lots of love from Patricia xx
Such a lovely card Julia and I know it is your signature but I find the pearl drop border too heavy today for the stamped panel and your design so would be inclined to leave this out, best wishes Jackie
ReplyDeleteHi Julia
ReplyDeleteJust loving this card today. The stamps are gorgeous. in my favourite colours as well. I assume that when you paint over the embossed areas the colour just rolls off it to leave it white?.
Beautiful love it all xx hazel
