My Wish For You

Hi Bloggers.

Here's today's card -

This was a demo from Thursday. For the background, I used Milk Card. For this one, I wasn't random with the mask, I just popped the Delicate Mask on top of the card and inked through with Scattered Straw Distress Ink. With the stamp in my hand, I randomly stamped the Heartfelt Creations Script Kay Background with Scattered Straw. I then repeated the process with the new Creative Expressions Floral Background using Bundled Distress Ink. I made sure the ink was dry and then ran it through the Grand Calibur with the Couture Creations Jazmyne Embossing Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the design and inked around the edges with Scattered Straw.

I stamped the image twice using the Heartfelt Creations Floral Keys and Locket Stamp Set, Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I cut one out using Spellbinders Stately Circles and inked through the die with Scattered Straw. I coloured in using Cosmic Shimmer Matt Drawing Inks. I used Sunflower from the Summer Fayre Set, Soft Moss from the Garden Twist Set and Umber from the Autumn Shades Set. I added a little Cosmic Shimmer Aqua Twinkles. I cut the central part of the other image out using the Heartfelt Creations Burnished Key Die (I made a template first from the whole die and placed the corresponding shape over the image, secured it with removable tape and then cut out). I coloured this with Umber Matt Drawing Ink and used 3d foam to lay it on top of the main image. I added a couple of little keys from the Burnished Key Stamp/Burnished Key Die that I had left over from another project.

I made a flower out of Cream Guipure Duchess Lace following the same method as in Sue's tutorial here. I stamped a couple of Heartfelt Creations Bold Leaves using Bundled Sage and embossed using Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I cut them out using Heartfelt Creations Classic Leaf Die Set.

I assembled the card as shown adding some Cream Pearls in 3 of the corners and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pastel PVA in Pastel Lemon around the edges.

Thanks for stopping by.

Julia.

  25. Hi Julia and all Wattsonettes. WOW, both yesterday's and todays cards are beautiful (yes, even the backgrounds)
Im so pleased you told us the colour name of the purple card, its SO useful to me as Im getting a list of colour's together so I can start my collection of Foundation card, its not so easy sometimes to compare your cards to the colour swatch on the CE site, so for you to tell us the colour is really helpful, thanks Julia.
I just love the stamps used, so I better start a stamp list but I dare say after the CHA show that list will grow out of all proportion !
Hoping everyone is having an enjoyable weekend so far. Until tomorrow.
