Hi Bloggers.
As promised, today I'm sharing one of the samples from tomorrow's shows. It's quite a simple card, I've used one of the Lustre Embossing Powders that are on the shows. It's from a new collection I've put together for the shows, scroll down to the bottom of this post to see all the colours.
Here's the card -
For the background, I popped some Coconut White Card inside the Couture Creations Nuevo Embossing Folder and ran it through the Grand Calibur. I ran it through a second time to extend the design and inked around the edges with Scattered Straw Distress Ink. I wrapped some Cream Satin Edged Organza Ribbon around the background, securing at the back.
I stamped the image from the Creative Expressions Posy Florals 2 Stamp Set using Perfect Medium and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Tropic Yellow Lustre Embossing Powder. I cut it out using a Spellbinders Fancy Postage Edge die and inked through the die with Scattered Straw.
I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set, again using Perfect Medium and embossed with Tropic Yellow Lustre Powder. I cut it out using a Spellbinder Labels 25 die and inked through the die with Scattered Straw.
I tied a bow using Cream Satin Edged Organza Ribbon. I pressed a Fancy Pearl Embellishment into a Perfect Medium Pad, added Tropic Yellow Lustre, tapped off the excess and heat set. I added a couple of Cream Pearl Decorative Stick Pins to the back of the bow.
I assembled the card as shown adding some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in White around the edges.
Here are the colours in the set for tomorrow's shows -
You will find that there is more mica residue left behind with the darker colours but you can work with that when you ink through the die - Victorian Velvet and Fired Brick work well with Burnt Red Lustre (it's more of a dark pink than red, I think), Broken China works well with Lapis Sapphire Lustre, Mustard Seed and Scattered Straw work well with Tropic Yellow Lustre. All the powders in the collection (except Lapis Sapphire which was out of stock) can be found in my Amazon Store here.
The shows tomorrow are at 8am (with Leonie) and 3pm (with Paul).
Thanks for stopping by.
Julia.

Thanks ever so much
Hi Bloggers.
Here's today's card -
For the background, I dusted a piece of Coconut White Card with my anti static bag and popped it on to my tan mat which was on my base plate. I inked up the Argyle Mask with Perfect Medium, popped it face down onto my dusted card, popped the pink embossing plate on top and ran it through the Grand Calibur. The Perfect Medium transferred to the debossed pattern. I added Cosmic Shimmer Amethyst Mist Lustre Embossing Powder and heat set.
I stamped the sentiment from the Creative Expressions Classic Sentiments Stamp Set using Jet Black Archival. I added Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder but did not heat set yet. I stamped the frame from the Justrite Vintage Labels Four Stamp Set around the sentiment, again using Jet Black Archival adding Clear Powder and then I heat set. I coloured in using Cosmic Shimmer Matt Drawing Inks. I used Meadow Lime from the Garden Twist Set, Summer Haze from the Soft Velvet Set and Sunflower from the Summer Fayre Set (more on order). I cut it out using Justrite Vintage Labels Four Dies.
I cut 2 Heartfelt Creations Decorative Butterfly Corners out of lavender card.
I stamped 2 of the little flower stamps from the same Justrite Stamp Set and coloured them in with the Matt Drawing Inks. I cut them out with scissors and went around the edges with a black promarker to hide any white bits.
I tied a bow using White Crochet Ribbon and added a Lavender Dazzler.
I assembled the card as shown adding some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in White around the edges.
I'll be back tomorrow with a sneak peak from Thursday's shows.
Thanks for stopping by.
Julia.

Sending Love
Hi Bloggers.
Here's today's card.
For the background, I popped some Double Sided Self Adhesive Sheet onto some card. I only peeled off half of the backing to begin with. I dusted the Elegance Border Mask with my Anti Static Bag and placed it along one edge of the sticky area. I added Sahara Gold Polished Silk Glitter, really rubbing it in so that it was smooth and wouldn't shed. I removed the mask and then added Rose Copper Polished Silk Glitter, again rubbing it into the adhesive. I peeled away the adhesive and repeated the process .
I stamped the sentiment from the Justrite Sympathy Vintage Labels Stamp Set using Raisin Adirondack Dye Ink and added Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I did not heat set just yet. I stamped the frame around the image, again using Raisin Adirondack and added Clear Powder then heat set. I cut out using Justrite Vintage Label & Banner Dies and inked through the die with Caramel Adirondack Dye Ink.
I made a flower using Heartfelt Creations Tattered Blossoms Stamps and Dies, stamping with Raisin Adirondack and embossing with Clear Powder. I cut some leaves out of tan card using Spellbinders Foliage Die Set and inked through the die with Caramel Adirondack.
I assembled the card as shown adding some White pearls and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Olympic Gold around the edges.
Thanks for stopping by.

Mr & Mrs
Hi Bloggers.
Another white card today.
I have to be quick as my laptop has started over-heating and crashing! Just what I need!
I started by cutting an aperture out of a piece of Coconut White Card using the Justrite Vintage Labels Four Die Set. At the emboss stage I added the Sea Garden A4 Embossing Folder. I cut a mat 1/4" larger than the embossed piece of card and placed the latter over the top of the mat. I stamped the image from the Justrite Mr & Mrs Vintage Labels Four Stamp Set through the aperture using Perfect Medium. I removed the embossed piece, added Cosmic Shimmer Lapis Pearl Lustre Embossing Powder to the image ans heat set. I mounted the embossed piece over the top using 3d Foam Tape.
I cut a Heartfelt Creations Decorative Swirl Lattice and inked through the die with Perfect Medium. I removed the card from the die, added Lapis Pearl Lustre Powder and heat set. I trimmed the swirl down so I was left with a smaller piece as shown. I made a flower using several sizes of Heartfelt Creations Tattered Blossoms Stamps and Dies (stamp first them cut out using a template & the die). The flowers were all stamped with Perfect Medium and embossed with Lapis Pearl Lustre.
I assembled the card as shown adding some White Pearls and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in White around the edges.

Miss You
Hi Bloggers.
Here's today's card -
This is one of those cards where you'll need to try and zoom in to see the image & the sentiment.
I used Milk Card on this one. For the background, I inked through the Argyle Mask with Victorian Velvet Distress Ink using Cut n Dry Foam. I then ran it through the Grand Calibur with the Couture Creations Hyper Magical Embossing Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the design and inked around the edges with Victorian Velvet.
I stamped the image from the Justrite Floral Vintage Labels Two Stamp Set using Perfect medium and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Sunrise Pink Lustre Embossing Powder. I cut it out using Justrite Vintage Labels Two Dies and inked through the die with Victorian Velvet. I popped some Double Sided Self Adhesive Sheet onto some card and cut the Heartfelt Creations Decorative Lattice Swirl Dies (don't emboss if doing this). I peeled off the backing and rubbed in some Rose Copper Polished Silk Glitter.
I stamped the sentiment from the Justrite Vintage Banners Clear Stamp Set using Perfect Medium and embossed with Sunrise Pink Lustre. I cut it out using Justrite Vintage Label and Banner Dies and inked through the die with Victorian Velvet. I cut one of the Justrite Vintage Labels Four Dies from some card with DS Adhesive on it and added Rose Copper Polished Silk Glitter.
I assembled the card as shown adding some Cream Pearls and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Vintage Pink around the edges.

Especially for You
Hi Bloggers.
Well, I'm all moved in. Hated driving the van - it was mostly the reversing that was the problem! Virtually all the boxes are unpacked - I've stopped unpacking now as I really need to prep for next Thursdays shows. My internet was delayed a day but up and running now and the Amazon orders are all caught up. Just a few things I can't find!
Here's today's card -
For the background, I randomly stamped the Leafy Swirl Stamp using Antique Linen Distress Ink. I made sure the ink was dry and then ran it through the Grand Calibur with the Couture Creations Smooch Embossing Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the design and then inked around the edges with Antique Linen.
I stamped the sentiment from the Creative Expressions Everyday Expressions Stamp Set using Perfect Medium and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Olympic Gold Lustre Embossing Powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Labels 30 and inked around the edges with Antique Linen after I had removed it from the die. I stamped the Vine Scroll using Perfect Medium and embossed with Olympic Gold Lustre. I cut it out using Labels 30 and again inked around the card after removing from the die. I popped some Doubled Sided Adhesive sheet onto some card and die cut the largest of the Labels 30 dies (don't emboss if doing this). I peeled the backing off and rubbed some Cosmic Shimmer Golden Sand Polished Silk Glitter into it. I then ran it through the Couture Creations Nuevo Embossing Folder to give it some texture.
I inked 2 of the Spellbinders Gold Corners One dies with Perfect Medium and die cut some white card. The Perfect Medium transferred to the deboss areas. I added some Olympic Gold Lustre and heat set.
I cut a Spellbinders Medallion 8 Die D-Lite and inked through the die with Perfect Medium. I added Olympic Gold Lustre and heat set. I cut away several pieces from the die cut as shown. I tied a bow using 2 lengths of Champagne Silky Crush Ribbon.
I assembled the card as shown adding some Cream Pearls and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in White around the edges.
Thanks for stopping by.

A Cheerful Hello
Hi Bloggers.
This card is so simple to do but effective, I think.
For the background, I dusted a piece of Coconut White Card with my anti-static bag. I popped my tan mat on top of my base plate and the dusted piece of card face up on the tan mat. I inked all over the Raindrops Mask with Perfect Medium and placed it inked side down on top of my card, popped on my pink plate and ran it through the Grand Calibur. The ink transferred to the debossed pattern. I added Cosmic Shimmer Silver Lustre Embossing Powder and heat set.
I stamped the Tatty Button Rainy Days image using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders A2 Curved Matting Basics B and inked through the die with Cloudy Blue Adirondack Dye Ink.
I stamped the sentiment from the Creative Expressions Everyday Expressions Stamp Set using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Clear Powder. I inked up one of the Spellbinders Gold Ivy dies with Perfect Medium and used it to cut out the sentiment. The ink transferred to the debossed sections. I added Silver Lustre Powder and heat set.
I assembled the card as shown adding some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Silver Lustre around the edges.

Happy Father's Day
Hi Bloggers.
A nautical theme for today's card from the recent Pick of the Day. Not long now till Father's Day.
For the background, I covered a piece of card with Idea-ology Symphony Tissue Tape, wrapping the excess around the back of the card. I added a bit of colour to it with Weathered Wood and Faded Jeans Distress Stains. I wiped off the excess ink and then inked around the edges with Pool Adirondack Dye Ink using Cut n Dry Foam.
I then randomly stamped the anchor and ships wheel(?) stamp from the Justrite Anchors Away Clear Stamp Set using Jet Black Archival. I coloured around the ships wheels with Sunflower Matt Drawing Ink from the Summer Fayre Set.
I popped the map frame onto my acrylic block and placed the ship stamp in the centre. I stamped using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I cut in out using Justrite Nested Oval Medallion Dies and inked through the die towards the centre with Pool Adirondack. I coloured the outer frame using Marigold Matt Drawing Ink from the Autumn Shades Set and the inner frame with Sunflower from the Summer Fayre Set.
I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Clear Powder. I cut it out using Justrite Antique Tags One Dies and inked through the die with Pool Ink.
I tied a knot using Black/Ivory Grosgrain Ribbon.
I assembled the card as shown adding some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlscent PVA in Black around the edges.

Friends Fill Your Life With Joy
Hi Bloggers.
It's moving day today. I'll be driving a van for the first time in 30 years! It's not the driving I'm concerned about but the parking part - a van's a bit bigger than a Fiat Panda! I've scheduled a couple of posts as my broadband won't be installed till tomorrow. I'm hoping that I'll still be able to get my Amazon orders out on time.
Also today, it's my very dear friend Sue Wilson's birthday so a VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY to her.
Here's today's card -
For the background, I laid the Delicate Border Mask along the top of my card and inked around it using Denim Adirondack Dye Ink using Cut n Dry Foam. I repeated this twice more moving the mask down the card. I made sure that the ink was dry then dusted the background with my anti-static bag. I stamped the flourish from the Justrite Butterfly Dreams Stamp Set around the edges using Perfect Medium and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Arctic Lake Lustre Embossing Powder.
I stamped the flower image from the Justrite Floral Vintage Labels Two Stamp Set using Perfect Medium and embossed with Arctic Lake Lustre. I cut it out using Justrite Vintage Labels Two Dies and very lightly inked through the die with Denim ink. I cut the next size up out of Pastel Blue Card.
I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set using Perfect Medium and embossed with Arctic Lake Lustre. I cut it out using Justrite Antique Tags One Dies and inked through the die lightly with Denim ink. I cut a small Spellbinders Persian Motif to sit behind it.
I tied a bow using White Crochet Ribbon. I pressed a Fancy Pearl Embellishment into a Perfect Medium Pad, added Arctic Lake Lustre, tapped off the excess and heat set.
I assembled the card as shown adding some White Pearls in the top corners and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Summer Blue around the edges.
Thanks for stopping by.

True Friendship
Hi Bloggers.
Back to burgundy & black today -
I'll start with the main image for a change today. All the stamps used are from the Justrite True Friends Vintage Labels Four Stamp Clear Embossing Powder. I used Scarlet Flame from the Autumn Shades Set, Soft Moss from the Garden Twist Set and Sunflower from the Summer Fayre Set. I cut it out using Justrite Vintage Labels Four Dies.
I cut a Spellbinders Persian Motif out of Black Card, cut it in half and popped it at the back of the image panel.
For the background, I stamped the corner stamp in each corner of some Burgundy Card and embossed with Clear powder. I ran it through the Grand Calibur with the Couture Creations Hyper Magical Embossing Folder.
I tied a bow using Burgundy/Ivory Striped Grosgrain Ribbon and added a Black Dazzler.
I assembled the card as shown adding some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Black around the edges.

To a Beautiful You
Hi Bloggers.
An easy peasy white card today -
I know this is hard to see but zoom in if you can to see the detail.
For the background, I stamped the Heartfelt Creations Timeless Lace Pre Cut Stamp using Perfect Medium and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Lapis Pearl Lustre Embossing Powder. I then ran it through the Grand Calibur with the Couture Creations Dream Embossing Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the design. The embossing powder does not crack.
I stamped the floral heart from the Heartfelt Creations Passage to My Heart Pre Cut Set using Perfect Medium and embossed with Lapis Pearl Lustre. I cut it out using one of the Heartfelt Creations Timeless Amour dies.
I stamped the sentiment from the Heartfelt Creations Timeless Sentiments Pre Cut Set, again using Perfect Medium and embossed with Lapis Pearl Lustre. I cut it out using a die from the Justrite Vintage Labels Four Die Set.
I assembled the card as shown adding some White Pearls and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in White around the edges.

Birthday Wishes
Hi Bloggers.
I'm having a day off from packing today as I'm taking Kathryn to see my Mom & Dad. It took me a day and a half to pack my craft room! You wouldn't believe the number of full boxes that came out of my little room.
Anyway, here's today's card -
I cut the largest of the Spellbinders Grand Stately Circles out of Coconut White Card and inked through the die with Aged Mahogany Distress Ink.
I dusted a piece of Coconut White Card with my anti-static bag and cut the second largest Grand Stately Circle. I did not emboss it. I placed it cutting edge down on my tan mat which was on my base plate. I inked up the Fretwork Mask with Perfect Medium and placed it ink side down onto the card/die, placed my pink plate on top and ran it through the machine. The Perfect Medium transferred to the debossed pattern. I removed the card from the die, added Cosmic Shimmer Lava Black Embossing Powder (from the Metallics & Darks Set) and heat set. I placed the card back in the die and inked through the die with Aged Mahogany.
I stamped the Perfect Poppy using Perfect Medium and embossed with Lava Black. I cut it out using Spellbinders Labels 30 and inked through the die with Aged Mahogany. I cut an A2 Curved Matting Basics A out of Coconut White Card. At the emboss stage I added the the Couture Creations Nuevo Embossing Folder and then inked through the die with Aged Mahogany.
I stamped the sentiment that comes with the Perfect Poppy Stamp, again using Perfect Medium and embossed with Lava Black. I cut it out using Spellbinders Ornamental Tags 1 Die D-Lite and inked through the die with Aged Mahogany. I added a White Pearl.
I tied a bow using 2 lengths of White Silky Crush Ribbon. I pressed a Fancy Pearl Embellishment into the Perfect Medium Pad, added Lava Black Embossing Powder, tapped off the excess and heat set.
I assembled the card as shown. When I demoed this on Monday, I used Steel Blue Embossing Powder (from the same set as the Lava Black) and Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink. That looked lovely too. Lots of colour combos would work with this one.
Thanks for stopping by.

Julia.
