Hi Bloggers.
This card is so simple to do but effective, I think.
For the background, I dusted a piece of Coconut White Card with my anti-static bag. I popped my tan mat on top of my base plate and the dusted piece of card face up on the tan mat. I inked all over the Raindrops Mask with Perfect Medium and placed it inked side down on top of my card, popped on my pink plate and ran it through the Grand Calibur. The ink transferred to the debossed pattern. I added Cosmic Shimmer Silver Lustre Embossing Powder and heat set.
I stamped the Tatty Button Rainy Days image using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders A2 Curved Matting Basics B and inked through the die with Cloudy Blue Adirondack Dye Ink.
I stamped the sentiment from the Creative Expressions Everyday Expressions Stamp Set using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Clear Powder. I inked up one of the Spellbinders Gold Ivy dies with Perfect Medium and used it to cut out the sentiment. The ink transferred to the debossed sections. I added Silver Lustre Powder and heat set.
I assembled the card as shown adding some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Silver Lustre around the edges.
Thanks for stopping by.
Julia.

ReplyDeleteHi Julia
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous card love this stamp and must get this one and the girl on the swing in the same set. The raindrops double embossed background is so great for this stamp and so pretty.
The curved matting basics die really does help to set off the stamp that you have inked around. I tend to get splodges of ink when I try to use a blending tool with a ink pad thing on it even if I try and angle it and dab it off first instead of blending nicely have you got any tips for not getting darker hard edged unblended dabs of (distress) ink when I try and do that?
Love this card it's great for a get well soon card or a hello /just because card. I also love the way you got the ink in the gold ivy debossed areas so you could put embossing powder on it and heat set it to great effect.
Best wishes from Katie-Louise
