The Circle of Love Never Ends

Hi Bloggers.

Here's today's card from this week's Pick of the Day.

For the background, I randomly stamped the floral heart stamp from the Heartfelt Creations Passage to my Heart Stamp set using Milled Lavender Distress Ink. I made sure the ink was dry and then ran it through the Grand Calibur with the Couture Creations Dream Embossing Folder. I ran it though a second time to extend the design and then inked around the edges with Milled Lavender using Cut n Dry Foam.

Using the same stamp, I made the border by stamping the point of the heart as shown using Jet Black Archival. I inked around the edges of the panel with Milled Lavender.

I stamped the image from the Justrite Circle of Love Vintage Labels Three Stamp Set using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I coloured in using Cosmic Shimmer Matt Drawing Inks. I used Clover and Summer Haze from the Soft Velvet Set, Meadow Lime from the Garden Twist Set and Sunflower from the Summer Fayre Set. I cut it out using Justrite Vintage Labels Three Dies and inked through the die with Milled Lavender. I cut a Spellbinders Persian Motif out of lilac card.

I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set, again using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Clear Powder. I cut it out using Justrite Antique Tags One Dies which just happens to have a die in it which co-ordinates with Vintage Labels Three. I inked through the die with Milled Lavender.

I assembled the card as shown adding a Pearl Swirl and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in White around the edges.

Life to the Fullest

Hi Bloggers.

Phew! Busy couple of days. Have to admit I'm feeling a bit jet-lagged today. I hope you enjoyed the shows and managed to get yourself some goodies to play with.

Here's today's card -

For the background, I laid the Delicate Border Mask across the top of my card and inked around it using Peach Bellini Adirondack Dye Ink. I moved the mask down the card and repeated the inking twice more. Then, with the stamp in my hand, I randomly stamped the Justrite Floral Flourishes Background Stamp using Peach Bellini. There's a couple of lovely little scroll stamps in the Justrite Ornate Happiness Squares Clear Stamp Set. I used one of them and randomly stamped it using Denim Adirondack Dye Ink - I stamped it twice on to copy paper before stamping on my background each time to lighten the colour. I then scraped some Denim Ink around the edges using a piece of Cut n Dry Foam.

I popped the sentiment and the frame from the Justrite Live, Laugh, Love Vintage Labels Two Clear Stamp Set onto my acrylic block and stamped using Jet Black Archival. I embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. The 'LIVE' and 'LOVE' sentiments at the top and bottom of the frame are separate stamps - there are some others in the set too. As they're clear, it's easy to stamp them in afterwards.

I coloured the wooden effect section of the frame using Peach Bellini. The other bits are coloured with Matt Drawing Inks - Blue Cotton from the Soft Velvet Set and Marigold from the Autumn Shades Set. I cut it out using Justrite Vintage Labels Two Dies.

I made a scrunched up flower using Justrite Vintage Labels Three and added a little Denim Ink to the tops of the petals. I cut a couple of leaves out of blue card using Spellbinders Foliage die set.

I assembled the card as shown adding some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Vintage Blue around the edges.

Thanks for stopping by.

Oceanside

Hi Bloggers.

Hope you enjoyed the shows last night. 8 more scheduled for today.

There are some Nautical themed stamp sets on the shows and this is one of the samples I've made using them -

For the background, I stamped the crab stamp from the Justrite Oceanside Oval Medallion Labels Stamp Set using Pebble Adirondack Dye Ink. I made sure the ink was dry and then went around the edges with Raisin Adirondack Dye Ink using Cut n Dry Foam. I wrapped a piece of Burgundy/Ivory Striped Grosgrain around the centre.

I stamped the Lobster Label Stamp from the same stamp set using Raisin Adirondack and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I cut it out using Justrite Oval Medallion Labels and inked through the die with Pebble Adirondack. I coloured in the border around the stamp with Blue Cotton Matt Drawing Ink from the Soft Velvet Set.

I stamped the Map Label Stamp from the Justrite Anchors Away Clear Stamp Set using Raisin Adirondack and embossed with clear powder. I cut it out using another Oval Medallion Label die and inked through the die with Pebble Adirondack. Again, I coloured the little border around the edge with Blue Cotton Adirondack.

I stamped the sentiment from the Oceanside Stamp Set using Raisin Adirondack and embossed with clear powder. I cut it out using a die from the Justrite Vintage Label & Banner Die Set and inked through the die with Pebble Adirondack.

I assembled the card as shown adding a Red Button in each corner and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in White around the edges.

Hope you can tune into some of the shows today.

Thanks for stopping by.

Thank You!

Hi Bloggers.

Tonight I launch the Justrite & Heartfelt Creations Pick of the Day. All the times and channels are in the left-hand side bar of this blog. Hope you can join me for some of the shows.

Here's today's card -

For the background, I simply ran a piece of Coconut White card through the Grand Calibur with the Couture Creations Extra Flint Embossing Folder. Unfortunately, that folder isn't on the shows - sorry! I edged the background with a little Denim Adirondack Dye Ink using Cut n Dry Foam.

The two frames and the sentiment are from the Justrite For All You Do Vintage Labels Three Clear Stamp Set. I lined the sentiment up in my frame on my acrylic block, stamped using Perfect Medium and added Cosmic Shimmer Arctic Lake Lustre Embossing Powder.  I stamped the larger frame from the same stamp set in the same way. I cut them both out using Justrite Vintage Labels Three Dies.

I cut the largest of the Heartfelt Creations Decorative Butterfly Corner dies out of Pastel Blue Card. I stamped the smallest 3 flowers from the Heartfelt Tattered Blossoms Pre using Perfect Medium and embossed with Arctic Lake Lustre. I did this twice so I had 2 sets. I cut them out using the Heartfelt Creations Tattered Blossoms Die Set with a template I had already made (instructions on die set packaging and I'll try to explain how when I demo). I shaped the petals with my fingers and glued them on top of each other as shown. I added an 8mm White Pearl to the centre of each one.

I assembled the card as shown adding some more pearls in the top left hand corner and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Summer Blue around the edges.

The launch is at 9pm tonight on Ideal World with Shaun. I'll hopefully see you later.

Thanks for stopping by.

Friends Fill Your Life with Joy

Hi Bloggers.

As promised, today I'm giving you a sneak peak from tomorrow's Pick of the Day starting at 9pm on Ideal World.

For the background, I have simply run some Coconut White Card through the Grand Calibur with the Couture Creations Dream Embossing Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the design and then inked around the edges with Shell Pink Adirondack Dye Ink.

The sentiment is from Justrite Floral Vintage Labels Two Stamp Set. I stamped that first using Perfect Medium and added Cosmic Shimmer Silver Shine Detail Embossing Powder. I did not heat set it at this stage. I inked up the frame stamp from the Justrite Mr & Mrs Vintage Labels Four Stamp Set using Perfect Medium. I was able to line it up over the sentiment. I added the Silver Powder and heat set the lot. I cut out using Justrite Vintage Labels Four Dies and inked through the die with Shell Pink. I swiped some Shell Pink onto a tile and painted the frame.

I cut the Heartfelt Creations Decorative Lattice Swirls out of pastel pink card. These dies are just gorgeous and cut really well.

I stamped the flower cluster from the Heartfelt Creations Daisy Patch Bouquet Pre Cut Set using Perfect Medium and embossed with the Silver Shine Detail Powder. I coloured it using Meadow and Shell Pink Adirondack Dye Ink Pads. I cut it out by hand with scissors. This stamp set  co-ordinates with the Heartfelt Creations Daisy Patch Flowers Pre Cut Set. I stamped the corresponding flowers using Perfect Medium and embossed with the Silver Powder. I coloured them using Shell Pink. I cut them out using the Heartfelt Creations Daisy Patch Die Set. It's worth making a template to do this - full instructions are on the packaging of the die set. The smallest die benefits from using wax paper with it. I gave the flowers a bit of shape with my fingers. I glued the die cut flowers on top of the corresponding ones in the cluster using Cosmic Shimmer Dries Clear Glue twisting them slightly.

I tied a bow using 2 lengths of White Silky Crush Ribbon and added a Pink Dazzler.

Hope you like this sneak peak.

Thanks for stopping by.

Dream in Blue

Hi Bloggers.

I had a lovely day at Craftasmic in Taunton yesterday. A lovely little shop crammed full of goodies - well worth a visit if you're anywhere near there.

Here's today's card. I didn't quite get to finish the demo on this one.

For the background, I randomly stamped on of the flourishes from the Newsprint Flourishes Stamp Set using Stormy Sky Distress Ink. Then, with the stamp in my hand, I randomly stamped the Ledger Page Stamp using Weathered Wood Distress Ink. I made sure the ink was dry and then ran it though the Grand Calibur with the Couture Creations Great Almanzo Embossing Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the design and inked around the edges with Weathered Wood.

I stamped the Zentangled Flower using Perfect Medium and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Marine Sea Lustre Embossing Powder. I cut it out using scissors. I stamped and embossed it again, but this time just cut out the flower head. I shaped the petals with my fingers and glued one on top of the other using Cosmic Shimmer Dries Clear Glue twisting the flower head so they're offset. I cut out a Spellbinders Labels 9 and at the emboss stage I added the Couture Creations Petal Pleasures Embossing Folder. I inked through the die with Weathered Wood.

I stamped the sentiment that comes with the flower, again using Perfect Medium and embossed with Marine Sea Lustre. I cut it out using Spellbinders Fancy Postage Edge and inked through the die with Weathered Wood.

I tied a bow using Blue Satin Edged Organza. I pressed a Fancy Pearl Embellishment in to Perfect Medium, dusted with Marine Sea Lustre, tapped off the excess and heat set.

I assembled the card as shown adding some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Summer Blue around the edges.

I think I'll maybe do a sneak peak from Tuesday Night's Pick of the Day tomorrow. Be sure to pop by.

Thanks for stopping by.

Warmest Wishes

Hi Bloggers.

Hopefully this post will go live while I'm away in Taunton. I'm demoing at Craftasmic all day today. I'm told that all the tickets are sold so should be a busy day.

Here's today's card -

For the background, with the stamp in my hand, I randomly stamped the Justrite Fleur de Lis Background stamp using Victorian Velvet Distress Ink. I also stamped the Wrought Iron Corner in the top and bottom right hand corners but they do look a bit lost. They would probably have been better stamped and embossed - maybe next time.

I stamped the Blossom Heart using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I coloured in using Cosmic Shimmer Matt Drawing Inks. I used Clover from the Soft Velvet Set and Soft Moss from the Garden Twist Set. I cut it out with scissors and went around the edges with a Black Promarker to hide any white bits. I stamped and embossed the heart again and just coloured in the flowers. I cut them out and added them to the top of the original image with 3d foam. I cut a Spellbinders Wonky Rectangle and at the emboss stage I added the Couture Creations Super Powder Puff Embossing Folder. I inked through the die with Victorian Velvet.

I stamped the sentiment that comes with the Blossom Heart using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Clear Powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Fancy Ribbon Threader and inked through the die with Victorian Velvet.

I tied a bow using 2 lengths of White Silky Crush Ribbon and added a Pink Dazzler.

I assembled the card as shown adding some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in White around the edges.

Thanks for stopping by.

I repeated the process with the Ledger Page Stamp and Weathered Wood Distress Ink. I stamped the Daisy Swirl stamp using Perfect Medium and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Marine Sea Embossing Powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Fancy Ribbon Threader and inked through the die with Weathered Wood. I threaded some Blue White American Seam Binding through the slits in the die cut.

I stamped the sentiment from the Heartfelt Creations Classic Message Pre Cut Set using Perfect Medium and embossed with Marine Sea Lustre. I cut it out using one of the dies from the Spellbinders Ornate Artisan Tags & Accents Die Set and inked through the die with Weathered Wood.

I tied a bow using 2 lengths of White Sheer Wrinkled Edge Ribbon. I pressed a Fancy Pearl Embellishment into a Perfect Medium Pad, sprinkled with Marine Sea Lustre, tapped off the excess and heat set.

Fabulous Friend

Hi Bloggers.

Here's today's card -

For the background, I randomly stamped the Beaded Swirl Stamp using Dusty Concord Distress Ink. For a more subtle background, stamp onto a piece of paper first each time. I made sure the ink was dry and then popped it though the Grand Calibur with the Couture Creations Super Powder Puff Embossing Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the design and then inked around the edges with Dusty Concord using Cut n Dry Foam.

I stamped the Heart & Soul Stamp using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Cleat Embossing Powder. I coloured in using Cosmic Shimmer Matt Drawing Inks. Love again!

Hi Bloggers.

A nice simple card today if you need an anniversary or wedding card in a hurry.

For the background, I simply ran some Coconut White Card through the Grand Calibur with the Couture Creations Great Almanzo Embossing Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the design.

I stamped the Damask Heart using Perfect Medium and embossed with Arctic Pearl Lustre Embossing Powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Fancy Ribbon Threader. I threaded some Cream Silky Crush Ribbon through the slits in the die cut.

I stamped the sentiment that comes with the Damask Heart, again using Perfect Medium and embossed with Arctic Pearl Lustre. I cut it out using Spellbinders Labels 9 and also cut the next largest size Labels 9.

I tied a bow using 2 lengths of Cream Silky Crush Ribbon. I pressed a Fancy Pearl Embellishment into the Perfect Medium Pad, sprinkled with Arctic Pearl Lustre, tapped off the excess and heat set.

I assembled the card as shown adding some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in White around the edges.
