Hi Bloggers.
Here's today's card from this week's Pick of the Day.
For the background, I randomly stamped the floral heart stamp from the Heartfelt Creations Passage to my Heart Stamp set using Milled Lavender Distress Ink. I made sure the ink was dry and then ran it through the Grand Calibur with the Couture Creations Dream Embossing Folder. I ran it though a second time to extend the design and then inked around the edges with Milled Lavender using Cut n Dry Foam.
Using the same stamp, I made the border by stamping the point of the heart as shown using Jet Black Archival. I inked around the edges of the panel with Milled Lavender.
I stamped the image from the Justrite Circle of Love Vintage Labels Three Stamp Set using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I coloured in using Cosmic Shimmer Matt Drawing Inks. I used Clover and Summer Haze from the Soft Velvet Set, Meadow Lime from the Garden Twist Set and Sunflower from the Summer Fayre Set. I cut it out using Justrite Vintage Labels Three Dies and inked through the die with Milled Lavender. I cut a Spellbinders Persian Motif out of lilac card.
I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set, again using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Clear Powder. I cut it out using Justrite Antique Tags One Dies which just happens to have a die in it which co-ordinates with Vintage Labels Three. I inked through the die with Milled Lavender.
I assembled the card as shown adding a Pearl Swirl and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in White around the edges.

Hi Julia, I really like this card as it has a nice soft colour. I ordered most of the things of tuesday and the bits I miised I ordered from you, which arrived today. Over the shows you did mention this milled lavender and another colour again with a soft hue, if you can remember it or can recommend a pale pink I would like to order them as well.
ReplyDeleteKeep up the good work.

Hi Julia, love this card you use so many things to get such a beautiful and detailed card. Love the flowers stamp and the inks you've used to colour it in. Must try creating my own backgrounds with stamps instead of relying on manufactured ones!
ReplyDeleteThe embossing using the folder is very pretty.
Congrats on passing the 900 followers.
Best wishes from Katie-Louise x
Hi again Julia forgot to say that I look forwards to your shows and will be watching on Monday hopefully for all 3 hours but as I'm at my mums and she hates c&c unfortunately ( it's my favourite channel) so I'm hoping she's well enough to go to work on Monday so I can watch! Of course I want her to be well anyhow but I want to watch your shows!
ReplyDeleteForgot also to say love the motif die cut I have this set but under use it as I now have so many to choose from I forget its there most the time unfortunately, missing my spellbinder dies and GC machine it was too much to bring to mums. I brought some card making stuff with me!
Best wishes from Katie-Louise x
Beautiful card. Loved the POW shows. I can't wait for you to show the black card with the gold embossing of the lattice swirls. I'm so glad I got my order in for those particular dies, ordered Tuesday evening, arrived Thursday evening. I'm in for a good Bank Holiday now!
ReplyDeleteLoved your shows but you must have been absolutely shattered by the end of them. Don't know how you kept it all together.
ReplyDeleteYour cards, as ever, are lovely and you've now got me into buying masks and playing around with them. They create such lovely backgrounds.
Was going to say "Relax over the bank holiday" but that ain't going to happen, either, looking at your schedule for Monday. I shall record ..............
Happy crafting
Rose
